Weekly Weather December 5, 2005 to December 11, 2005
There is a complicated planetary dance going on in the heavens. The dance has been going on since last spring. It culminates kind of sort a, this week, as Mars stations to go direct in Taurus at 8:14 on Friday night. Actually, what will probably happen is you are going to figure out the PURPOSE of the cosmic dance as it waltzed through your chart, your life and our world. You are not going to be able to DO much of anything about it, until Saturn goes direct in Leo and until Mars breaks free of the planet jam in the fixed signs. However, you will UNDERSTAND why, how or what the past nine months were for, this week, while you are sitting stuck in traffic, obsessing, and unable to move forward except by inches, inches, fractions of inches. Time for a surprise. Unbeknownst to you, you were pregnant with the next phase or chapter of your life. Sometime during the week ahead, your water will break and your labor begins! You are about to give birth to you! Get ready to pull off the road, find a hospital and give birth! I know you do not have very much energy left to even contemplate giving birth to you but trust me; the labor will be relatively short and well worth it.
Whenever planets repeatedly echo, stop on or dance around certain degrees in a chart over and over, especially in a short period of time (9 months is a SHORT period of time in the cosmos even if WE think it has been unbelievably long!), we have an opportunity to approach, revise, revisit, come to understand and then live our life in a new, completely different way. Have you noticed quite a bit of regressive, self-destructive behaviors appearing over the past couple of weeks? Eating disorders surfacing, drinking too much alcohol, over eating, picking fights, going to bed, avoiding things, or doing that bad old behavior you used to do? And you just thought it was because of Thanksgiving and visiting the relatives? Do you just want to hide and make IT all go away? Well suck it up, stand up straight, chin out, and take a deep breath. Here is your hat, shield and sword. Get ready to push through just a BIT more, (or stand still to watch what happens) to cause everything to shift, changing magically right before your eyes.
The fixed cross in the sky has three Malefics, Mars, Saturn and Neptune, in it. So, I am encouraging you to WILLINGLY go towards Jupiter in Scorpio. It might look like you are running right into a blazing fire and a certain painful death, but it is an illusion!! Make a friend of Jupiter’s transformation. Ask him for help. Change and evolve. Give up your regressive, bad old behaviors that have kept you stuck and prevented you from expanding and evolving. Intelligently design your life! Jupiter in Scorpio (or the Scorpio house of your chart) is where the salvation, transformation and exit strategy lives and waits for you. Change. Transform. Alternatively, simply DO NOT DO what you USUALLY do for a week or three! Then everything will change around you! And, then, magically, someone or something will come up to you, kiss your cheek, and say mazel tov, congratulations, hip hip hooray. You did it. In addition, you will see a glimmer of what the next phase of your life is going to be. Moreover, you will watch the old phase start to fade and fall away. Be brave. Change is good. Well, at least THIS change is good.
Chiron enters Aquarius on Monday. Sun sextiles Neptune on Wednesday. Ceres enters Capricorn on Sunday. Mars stops the whole week and starts to go direct after Friday. Essentially, the ambulance, police and fire trucks arrive with the Jaws of Life this week. The traffic jam comes to a dead, still stop. Nothing, but nothing, is going to feel like it is moving all week – parallel or sideways maybe but not forward. Underneath, below the surface, there are TONS of things going on. But it is NOT time to show the story to the world yet. SO you DO have a few minutes to do the calendar homework below.
Details, Details: For the astrology techies out there, here are the specific details and dates. Get out your notebooks or calendars! For those of you who are not completely astrolinguistic, get out your notebooks or calendars and just record the DATES mentioned below. Go review the thing(s) you have been obsessing over and see how nicely these dates match up to the various RELATED events in your life. Even if you do not THINK the events are RELATED, ALL the dates below link into a large Gordian knot your psyche is trying to unravel and release. It is your very own Medusa’s head that you are trying to slay. Give the universe a bit of help and use your pen on paper. You can break free, at least in your head if not in your life. Now is when the universe helps us, so we can CHANGE and EVOLVE. The plot twist is about to be revealed. Remember our bull back in the bullfight? This is his (your) chance to make a break for it before you get killed off by the matador by pursuing old unconscious behaviors, snorting and charging. Head for freedom. Charge towards your own life. Change the ending of the bullfight story ~ do not let yourself be killed. Or change the fantasy bad ending in your own mind. Do not plan to die alone with your cats ~ start a commune. Do not conclude that everyone’s life, including yours, is a train wreck ~ recycle the steel and build a personal space craft. Do not keep a tight grip on the parts of your life that are suffocating your soul. Take a breath! Let them go. You can change! The opposite of war isn’t peace ~ it’s creation! We’ll have an opportunity between now and when the traffic jam clears to get our lives, stuff, wars, problems, careers, school, homes, kids, relatives, lovers, partners, piles, decisions and acts together to take’em on the road (or throw them into the recycle dustbin) towards the next chapter of our life.
We‘ve had the degrees between 8 to 11 and 21 to 25 repeatedly activated, energized, illuminated and stationed on since last spring and through the early part of next year. Any planets in any chart found at those sensitive degrees are being challenged to change. While our cross is fixed and not particularly flexible, Pluto and Uranus are sending in “be mutable and dare to change” energy while the Nodes and eclipses are sending in move forward into YOUR version of life to shine on your own Aries path. For ANYTHING TO HAPPEN, we have to let go of the issues and problems seeded back in Fall 1982 through Spring 1983 and the related issues we have been wrestling with this year. We want to make fresh, intelligent decisions that serve our best interests and our heart‘s desire.
I encourage you to take time this week, while Mars is stationing, to get your calendar or diary out and write every date below into it. Reflect on the events of the day or two around the dates. Let the planets and their messages sit quietly on the pages of your life. They will percolate while Mars stops once more to pivot and dig into Taurus‘ earth. Show your unconscious bull the videotape dates of the planet dances. ALL the events of ALL the dates are somehow tied to what you are trying to figure out and break free of and from. The Bull (you) WILL GET IT and UNDERSTAND WHAT TO DO and HOW TO STAY ALIVE, GROW and BE FREE IF you take the time to record and reflect on the dates.
Our fixed Cross is composed of three Malefics: Mars in Taurus, Saturn in Leo, Neptune in Aquarius and benefic Jupiter found in Scorpio. Mars entered his shadow on 8/12 at 8:14 Taurus and then on 10/2 Mars stationed at 23:22 Taurus. On 12/10 Mars goes direct at 8:14 Taurus and passes his station point of 23:22 Taurus on 2/4/06 and breaks free. Pack your bags! Saturn finished his Cancer home and family journey on 7/16. Saturn on 8/20 entered his shadow of 4:22 Leo. Saturn stationed at 11:19 Leo on 11/23. On 4/5/2006, he finishes his retrograde journey and Saturn goes direct at 4:22 Leo. He will pass his station point of 11:19 Leo next 7/10/2006.
Jupiter stationed direct on 6/5 at 8:56 Libra. Then Jupiter formed a transiting Finger of God with Pluto and Mars at the end of September 2004, bringing up the issues from Fall 1982 through Spring 1983. Now, Jupiter is at eight Scorpio opposite next week’s Mars station, asking the fixed cross energy to release and change. Jupiter enters his shadow on 12/8 and passes 8:58 Scorpio. Jupiter stations to go retrograde at 18:51 on 3/2/2006. On 7/6/2006 Jupiter stations direct at 8:58 Scorpio to pass his Scorpio station 18:51 degree next 9/9/2006. Neptune stationed direct on 10/27 at 14:49 Aquarius. Neptune is very involved next summer and fall of 2006 when he opposed Saturn in Leo and dancing with Jupiter in Scorpio. However, Neptune is still a part of our fixed cross by orb. Neptune and Jupiter explain why everything seems so emotionally fraught and exhausting right now. We have to wait until next year for the Neptune fog to completely clear!!
The new and full moons light up our consciousness and help us see. The New Moons wake up the 8 to 11 degrees: 10/2 at 10 Libra (eclipse); 11/1 at 9 Scorpio; 12/1 at 9 Sagittarius and 12/30 at 9 Capricorn. The Full Moons wake up the 21 to 25 degrees: 10/17 at 24 Aries/Libra (eclipse), 11/15 at 23 Taurus/Scorpio; 12/15 at 23 Gemini/Sagittarius. Both the Sun and Moon light up our new life directions OR the Sun and Moon spotlight what we do NOT want anymore.
Mutable energy seeks change and is flexible as it vibrates between being fixed and charging forward to a new place. Mutable signs are found where the seasons change from Winter to Spring to Summer to Fall. Uranus in Pisces is challenging, via a fairly stressful aspect, the 8 to 11 degree fixed signs by inserting chaotic change energy into fixed cross mix. Last winter, Uranus entered his shadow degree of 6:51 Pisces on 2/27. On 6/15 Uranus at Pisces 10:46 stationed retrograde. On 11/16, Uranus stationed direct at 6:51 Pisces. On 3/2/2006, Uranus passes his station degree of 10:46 and breaks free. Simultaneously, Pluto in Sagittarius is pushing and prodding the 21 to 25 degrees of the fixed signs. Last year, Pluto entered his Sagittarian shadow of 21:49 on 12/8/04. On 3/31 stations, Pluto stationed at 24:31 Sagittarius going retrograde. On 9/1, Pluto stationed to go forward at 21:49 Sagittarius. Now, Pluto is pulsing away at the 23/24 degrees, pushing the energy of transformation, via another stressful aspect, into the energy of the Sun, Moon, and Mars positions. Pluto goes past his prior station at 24:31 Sagittarius into new evolutionary territory on 12/22.
The Karmic Nodes are rolling backwards through cardinal, change oriented Aries/Libra. The nodes say leave the old manner of relating behind (South node) and move forward into the spring of your new life (North node).
Chiron thought he was finished with his four-year Capricorn journey on 2/21. Then Chiron realized he forgot a couple of details. He headed back into Capricorn on 7/31 for a 6-month clean up. This week, on 12/5, he enters Aquarius for the next 46 years. Time to find your new tribe!
Last but never least, our dear, dear friend Mercury ~ ever the alchemist messenger who travels between our conscious above world and unconscious dream imagery underworld to link, introduce and relate our two separate worlds. Our catalyst, Mercury, has been exceptionally busy during the summer and fall with his retrogrades linking up and connecting Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Sun, Moon, Uranus, and Pluto as they moved over our sensitive points of 8 to 11 and 21 to 25. The first Mercury retrograde found him on 7/5 entering his shadow at 8:46 Leo. On 7/23, Mercury stationed going retrograde at 20:28 Leo. On 8/16, Mercury stationed at 8:46 Leo direct to finally pass 20:28 Leo on 8/30.
I guess Mercury decided we did not quite get it or perhaps needed another dream, version or vision of his message. Mercury went to link up and connect another set of the SAME degrees. More unconscious stuff bubbled up into our consciousness. On Mercury’s second retrograde, on 10/3, he entered his shadow of 24:46 Scorpio. On 11/14 Mercury stationed retrograde at 10:56 Sagittarius. On 12/4, Mercury stationed direct at 24:46 Scorpio and will pass 10:56 Sagittarius on 12/21.
Please, please, please, record the dates! Today. Tomorrow. Soon. It will be SO worth your time! Note the dates and the planet names onto the days of your calendar, life and soul’s song. Listen to what they are singing. Hear what the stars are whispering. Learn what they want you to know!
