Weekly Weather October 17, 2005 to October 23, 2005
We start the week with a full moon eclipse bright and early Monday morning at 8:13 am EDT. The eclipse is exceptionally powerful, includes a karmic, life changing Finger of God (Mars -apex, Sun/Jupiter, Pluto), a cardinal Grand Cross (Moon, Sun, Chiron and Vesta), a fixed Grand Cross (Angles for Washington, DC, Saturn, Neptune, Mercury) or Fixed T-square if you live somewhere other than the east coast of the USA (Saturn, Neptune, Mercury), a tight fire trine with Venus and Saturn or a Grand Fire Trine if you count the North Node in Aries. And, finally, a few miscellaneous other aspects: trine (Pluto, Moon), opposition (Juno, Pluto), squares (Venus, Uranus, Ceres). Whenever THAT many planets are combined into THAT many challenging aspects, we can expect major changes in our lives and world. Later in the week, we’ll have a number of stressful aspects as well as Sun changing signs into Scorpio and Jupiter in the last hurrahs of Libra as he wraps up 12 years of relationship karma before moving into Scorpio later next week. Ah, such a week we have ahead of us! What I particularly like is the Sun’s aspects. While Sun normally is not at his best when in Libra, as he can’t shine brightly on his very own but has to cooperate and play nicely with others, this week, Sun is joining and cooperating with a few of his buddies. Sun joins with Jupiter, Uranus, changes signs and squares Chiron suggesting insights, wisdom and change if we listen and watch the world, particularly our relationships. And pay close attention to things that echo or reframe your soul’s wounds as Sun squares Chiron in his last degrees of Capricorn. Our Chiron in Capricorn transit has its final exam this week! Exercise your wisdom when it appears.
First up, the eclipse echoes the outer planet degrees from fall 1982 to fall 1983. Print a chart out of October 1982 and compare the degrees/signs from then to the degrees/signs in the sky now. In 1982/83, Saturn and Pluto were in a Finger of God in the last degrees of Libra, echoing by signs and degrees the Finger of God we are experiencing now. We’ve swapped planets but the degrees and signs are exactly the same! In 1982/83, we had a very important karmic relationship that we made decisions around. Those decisions helped form the structure of our life until now. Currently, the Universe wants us to revisit those decisions and decide where, if any place, they fit in our lives. Now, we have an opportunity to learn, change, evolve and grow. It is time to chart our future. Think back on the decisions you made in 1982/83 that have governed your life. You are 23 years wiser. Tweak your life. Embrace your path. Grab for your gusto. What do you know now that you didn’t know back then? Just hug on to that hard earned, deep in the marrow of your bones knowledge and move gently, carefully forward. You don‘t have to be governed, ruled or controlled by 1982/83 any more if you don’t want to be. You are free. It is your life. What do you want to do? Go for it.
Monday is our eclipse. The Sun joins with Uranus by contraparallel suggesting an illumination or breakthrough of sorts. The moon is in Aries, always a bit volatile and warlike. The moon is also void midday for three hours. Mercury makes harsh aspects to the nodes so be careful what you sign today or around communications~ some part of it is not what it seems. Venus cooperates by fire trine with Saturn suggesting legal or money matters are positive if proper respect is paid to authorities or bosses.
Tuesday, busy Sun parallels Jupiter in an exceptionally upbeat and happy way. Mercury gets very confused as he squares Neptune and contraparallels Saturn. Our communication energy has a misunderstanding, arguing for the sake of arguing quality. If you realized the problem with the contract from yesterday, do not accept “trust me on this” unless you honestly, deeply don‘t care what happens. If you do care, seek clarification. Be cautious and clear with any and all authority figures communications ~ either as parent/child or boss/subordinate. Also be careful driving, as it is one of those pull out in traffic without seeing you kind of days.
Wednesday, Mercury figures out what he wants to do and has two gifts from Chiron and Juno. Whatever the commitments or communication problems are, they can be resolved or refocused today. Moon in Taurus awakens the bull and shows him the videotape of what happens to bulls in bullfights just as she goes void. Remember the moon is void most of the day so revise the contract tomorrow after Moon goes into Gemini! Yep, you are not getting what you want as Venus argues with Chiron and Athena. But could they have given it to you any way? Why do they have to give it to you? Can’t you go get it for yourself now that you know what you want? You are a smart bull!
Thursday Venus figures out how to get what you want with a slight problem. You cannot get it from where you are right now. You will have to leave and go find it. But you can partner with someone to get it. Her/your focus needs to widen and expand to get what you are looking for. No, you are not going to find it where you are now. It’s time to grow and expand. Part of you knows it. Have the knowing part talk to the part of you that is still in denial about having to move on. You don’t actually have to go until next March but you need to start making the plans NOW.
Friday, well, it will either be awesomely good or amazingly difficult or perhaps a mix of both. Venus and Mars have helpful aspects to Neptune and Vesta respectively suggesting that hard work and a vision of what you want goes a long distance towards creating it. And, you become aware of how far away from where you want to be that you are. It is a decent sized gap. Ouch. Today, Sun squares Chiron suggesting illumination, in a positive or negative sense, of your work, career and relationship challenges. Dust off your Saturn. Get out your creative energy. Dig out that column from last spring that I suggested you save for the fall. Reread it. Go spend more time on the parts of your life that you love. Create. Minimize the yucky stuff until your can make your escape.
Saturday is fabulous. If you buy things today, you will love them for ever (even if they are rather expensive). Sun joins Jupiter in its last degree of Libra making for grandiosity, generosity, and abundance. Buy a lottery ticket ~ or your life’s equivalent of it. Paint, pitch, sing, create, love, dance, get pregnant, and see your future. Mundane: 1982/83 was Iran Contra in USA history. The same cast of characters (Cheney, Rumsfeld, and Negroponte) are in charge now. Last week, our newly formed National Clandestine Service (May 18, 2005) got its first clandestine leader “Jose”, a CIA undercover operative. “Jose” reports to John Negroponte (July 21, 1939). Our National Clandestine Service will spy on us within our country. All our country’s intelligence operations report directly to Mr. Negroponte. For those of you with rusty history brains, Iran-Contra was presented to the American public as a “rogue” CIA operation run out of the White House basement by a crazy marine colonel named Oliver North with a babe of a secretary named Fawn Hall who shredded stuff so Congress couldn’t get it. “Plausible deniability” were the key words. President Reagan knew nothing. Of course, his Vice President, George “41“, was the head of the CIA for a while there. John Kerry actually investigated Iran-Contra in Senate hearings. Mr. North laundered money accumulated via illegal arms sales to Iran to finance an illegal covert war with the Contras. In 1982, Mr. Negroponte was our ambassador involved in the war torn Contra country, where there were death squads that led to a civil war. In 2005, Mr. Negroponte was our second ambassador to Iraq after our illegal overt invasion and war. There are death squads in Iraq. A civil war is brewing. Recently, British “soldiers” or “covert operatives” were captured, DRESSED IN ARAB GARB, carrying improvised explosive devices! Mr. Negroponte is working in our country now. His name means “black bridge”. His presence in situations does seem to bridge things into darkness! There are absolutely AMAZING progressions and transits in Mr. Negroponte’s chart, even untimed. The Latin root of Conspiracy means “to breathe together.” When are we going to stop believing in lone rogue assassins acting alone in book binderies and take a look at who is lurking in the grassy knolls?! This stuff takes PLANNING!
On a happier note, the H5N1 Asian Bird flu is finally getting attention! The critical degrees to watch are between 6 and 8 of Uranus’ transit through Pisces ~ basically the rest of this month through December. I am focusing particularly on the time frame between Jupiter‘s entry into Scorpio and Neptune’s station, both on October 26, 2005, the Uranus station November 16, 2005 and Saturn station November 22, 2005. If we use the New Moon eclipse of October 3, 2005 as our guide, the hot spots for possible human mutation are along the path of totality from Spain/Portugal into Africa. Interestingly, the eclipse lines correspond nicely with the annual migration paths of birds! Mad cow disease’s outbreak, and relatively successful quarantine, corresponded with the path of totality of the fixed cross eclipse in August 1999. Hopefully, with everyone finally paying attention, we will be able to contain any outbreak of H5N1! I am keeping my fingers crossed!
