Too Much Fire, the Full Moon, and Mad Eris

Astrologically speaking, the sky is on fire.

As of last night, we have two major planets in Aries (Venus and Uranus), one in Leo (the Moon), and one in Sagittarius (Saturn). And FURTHERMORE, of the six planets that aren’t in fire signs, three of them (Mars in Taurus, Jupiter in Libra, and Pluto in Capricorn) are functioning as “honorary” fireballs, because their rulers (Venus and Saturn) are in Aries and Sadge.

Things are heating up on planet earth. You might be tempted to blow stuff up (jobs, projects, relationships), but be cautious: everyone’s intuition is a little off right now. There’s just too much energy bouncing around. Decision-making processes that usually work well can backfire. Negotiations may go awry, since diplomatic Jupiter-in-Libra is answering to the warrior princess Venus-in-Aries.

We’re also gearing up for the third big conjunction of Uranus and Eris, the asteroid Goddess of Discord, who is also in Aries.

Uranus and Eris will meet for the third and final time on Friday, March 17th. They make an explosive pair – fraught with irritation, aggression, expansion, and disruption. I don’t know about you but I’m feeling a bit of this already.

If you find yourself more irritable and anxious than normal, do what you can to get to the root. What’s REALLY bothering you? Is there something unfair in this situation? If so, it’s time to take meaningful action towards change. Are you stressed because you’re over-booked and sleep-deprived? In that case, attend to self-care. Are you seething with envy, and ready to rip the head off their Barbie doll? Look into getting a Barbie of your own!

The previous Uranus-Eris conjunctions took place on June 8th, 2016 and September 25th, 2016. THIS is the conjunction, however, that delivers the goods, and wraps up the Uranus-Eris cycle for now. Personally, I have been hoping and predicting that the 17th will mark a big breakthrough in the Trump-Putin story. As predicted, the Eclipses in February brought lies to light, and the revelations continue. Just this week, we learned that the Trump campaign did indeed (despite repeated denials) pressure the Republican party to make its official platform more pro-Russia during the Republican National Convention in July.

But before we get to Uranus and Eris on the 17th, there’s a Full Moon in Virgo this weekend, which brings us to the end of the winter Eclipse Season.

This Full Moon perfects on Sunday, March 12th at 10:53 AM Eastern US time, at 22 degrees on the Virgo-Pisces axis. Its energy summons up stories from the New Moon of this cycle on September 13th, 2015 and the First Quarter Moon on June 12, 2016. What was going on in your life on those dates? Expect new emotional information in the coming days.

In the Full Moon chart, Mercury is at the last degree of Pisces (soon to join his buddies in Aries), and he’s squaring Saturn. This, with the fact that the lights are in Virgo and Pisces, is a recipe for projection. Don’t take personal criticism personally. Do be open to seeing from multiple perspectives.

Notice that Venus and Mars are in mutual reception – which means that each planet is traveling through a sign ruled by the other. Venus is in the Mars-ruled sign of Aries, while Mars is in Venus-ruled Taurus. When two planets find themselves in mutual reception, all it requires is a little conscious effort to “switch” them energetically. Treat Venus like she’s in Taurus (which she loves) by feeding her well and making time for cuddles. Treat Mars as though he is in Aries (which he loves) by exercising your physical body, having sex, and initiating projects you’re passionate about.

Stay safe, everybody, and stay kind.

Big hugs,
Anne
