Full Moon Eclipse On March 14, 2006
24:15 Pisces Sun/Virgo Moon

The Full Moon Eclipse on March 14, 2006 is an exceptionally emotional eclipse focused on endings, choices and transformations. We will have our critical, fussy, analytical problem oriented emotional is it NEVER going to work and before I agree to anything I must know exactly WHO, WHAT, WHERE, WHEN and HOW LUNAR Virgo nature arguing in a very soft, quiet sotto voice with our soul’s desire for ego satisfaction, recognition, evolution, mysticism, expansion, boundary free, deep longing for and SOLAR Pisces connection with our Divine spark of being in a quiet corner of our heart.
I know, that sounds kind of poetic. It isn’t going to be. Pluto is squaring the Pisces Sun and Virgo Moon. The two lights and Pluto are sitting right on the angles in the chart cast for Washington D.C., just inside the mutable, cadent houses. They form a mutable t-square which shoots out energy into the Gemini house and onto the midheaven of the Washington, D.C. chart. T-squares are not stable energy forms. They are missing a planetary leg. Consequently, the energy is VERY unstable, rocking back and forth OR it seeks ground via the open space/ missing leg OR we pick an energetic side we like or feel comfortable with which, of course, makes the other two legs act up in reaction to our choice. The minute we move, they will react to us.
Now if this eclipse was a rocking table in a restaurant, you could probably put matches or a sugar pack or two under a leg and enjoy your dinner in peace. However, our eclipse features two of our most important cosmic sources having a square off with the guy in charge of nuclear power. The three of them are in the last degrees of very unstable, nervous, mutable, quarrelsome, picky, changeable, manic, depressive, obsessive, righteous, dogmatic, schizophrenic, and ambivalent signs. If you think of it as a cosmic nervous breakdown, you’ll have an idea of the energy that is going to be zinging around in our world.
The other thing of interest is there are NO planets in cardinal signs. It is a fight between fixed, stable versus mutable, changeable energies. The nodes are in cardinal signs, Aries and Libra. Whatever you choose on the eclipse will move you forward in your life towards change and evolution into a brand, new something OR lock you down, trapping you in the same old, same old. Which do you want?
Remember the movies where the hero and villain are fighting a vigorous, exhausting to the death battle on the castle parapets or roof of a building? You, the movie viewer are worried, that one or perhaps both of them are going to go flying over the edge and fall, smashing and breaking on the ground below. The hero and villain struggle, fight, ebb, flow, switching who is winning or losing as they roll over and over right on the edge of a choice between life and death. The problem is the hero AND villain ARE YOU! You created them because of your ambivalence and inability to take a stand for what you believe in. Maybe the hero and villain were created because WHAT you believe is DIFFERENT than what you were TOLD to believe in when you were younger. Maybe your perception of what a hero and a villain are supposed to act like changed from what you USED to believe was true. It is okay. You can change your mind. You can believe something is different now if you want to believe it. You don’t have to tell anyone. Just change your belief, your mind. Or believe there are multiple versions and layers to truth.
All the energy about your fixed beliefs has been challenged since last fall. It is tied to that old story from fall 1982 through spring/summer 1983. It is tied to the changes you started back in May 1980. It might even be related to what you gave yourself permission to do, or perhaps NOT do, in February of 1977. Yep, 29 years ago.
Energy this unstable and ambivalent can’t sit in a corner and be quiet. It needs to go some where, do some thing, take action and be some one. Give it a voice. Give it permission to follow its dreams. Say yes to it for a change. Embrace it. Explore the what if rather than the why not. The dictionary defines ambivalence: The existence of mutually conflicting feelings or thoughts such as love and hate together about some person, object or idea. Coined by Freud. Ambi + Valence Ambi: go around, on both sides. Valence: the capacity for an atom or group of atoms to combine in specific proportions with other atoms or groups of atoms. 2. Broadly, the capacity of something to unite, react, or interact with something else. Latin: strength, capacity, to be strong.
Venus is opposed to Saturn in Leo and joined to Chiron in Aquarius. She just left a conjunction in Ceres in Aquarius. You want to belong, be desired, popular. Yet, you don’t quite fit properly into the mold or package of “expectations“. Maybe you never did fit properly? Maybe not fitting is part of your gift? The unique, actually pretty cool, part of you ~ that part that doesn’t fit is your gift. What would it look like if you gave yourself permission to create what it is YOU want? To live your desires? Do you even know what it IS you want? What does your heart want?
Neptune in Aquarius and Jupiter in Scorpio are approaching their retrograde square to each other. Their second square pass to each other takes place on Thursday. The third and final closing square will be in September. In January 1997, you started a journey to make your hopes and dreams into your reality as Jupiter and Neptune joined together at 27 Capricorn in Saturn’s house. This is your chance to adjust your dreams to psychologically integrate and validate them for the next few years of their journey until their conjunction in 2009. Tweak away! Make sure to change what you don’t like! Neptune and Jupiter have a unique magic about them in terms of how they manifest in our world. Add the phrase “this or better.” to whatever changes you ask for just in case your dream is a tad small.
Venus will soon catch up to Mars in Gemini and trine him. It will be the third phase of their dance together. November 17, 2005 was the first trine and January 23, 2006 the second trine. Back then, Venus was in Capricorn trining Mars in Taurus. Earth planets can be fairly unyielding. Earth, after all, is the most stable and solid of the elements in the zodiac. Mars in Taurus is stubborn and fixed about what he wants and how he wants it. Mars ONLY wants it the way it wants it. Venus in Capricorn seeks her high value, high assets, and traditional forms, wrapped up in the “proper” way to be. Earth energy is less prone to change its mind than air energy. Now BOTH Venus and Mars are traveling in air signs. Did Venus change her mind about love, money, values, beliefs, and her desires? Did Mars change his mind about what he wants and how he wants it and the way it “has” to be or else? If so, get Venus and Mars talking to each other immediately!! Mars is going to go get Venus what she said she wanted in November and January. If Venus has new or different instructions for Mars, she needs to get a message to him before March 26th. He will mutter “Women, always changing their minds!” under his breathe. Mars will say “Yes, Dear.” out loud, so Venus can hear him. And off he goes. He’ll be back with what Venus wants by May 23, 2006. Make sure Mars has CLEAR instructions about what Venus wants! He doesn’t have a cell phone so make sure he knows what Venus wants!
Finally, the chart for Washington, D.C. has 29 of the mutable signs on all four angles. The anaerectic degree makes for an exceptionally unstable chart launched under and by a very powerful eclipse. Mercury, the chart’s Virgo ascendant’s ruler is in his fall in Pisces, retrograde in motion, widely conjunct but approaching Uranus in Pisces in the 6th and approaching a square to Mars in Gemini in the 9th house. Those are cranky planets in VERY unhappy aspects in unstable signs in unstable houses. Pluto in the 4th house, joins the IC, squares the Ascendant, Descendant, Sun, Moon and shoots his considerable energy up to the midheaven. Our severely afflicted Mercury resides in the 6th house of health and daily routines. Mercury is trine Jupiter in Scorpio in the 12th house of the undoing of the mind and the second house of finances. Mercury is semi-sextile Neptune in the 12th house of the undoing of the body and the 5th house of speculation or gambling. The unstable, afflicted Mercury rules the midheaven. It looks like the chart of a nervous breakdown to this astrologer. How does our country have a nervous breakdown? Hmmm. It will be interesting to watch and see what happens.

A FLAG AT HALF-MAST IN FRONT OF A PUBLIC BUILDING
Commentary: ‘A Flag at Half-Mast in Front of a Public Building’ is a Symbol of accomplishment and achievement coupled with loss or mourning for someone or something that has died, been completed or abandoned in some way. It can picture carrying a task through to completion. Now it is time for recognition of what’s been accomplished. This Symbol can sometimes produce a feeling of loss, like something has passed from one’s life.
Oracle: This Symbol reflects the need for an acknowledgement, or public display, of something that has passed on or disappeared from your life. It may be important to let others know that there has been a change of some kind or a passing on. The display should not be noisy or overt, but a show of respect and accepted as a normal convention. This means that you don’t have to hide or pretend that nothing has happened. It also shows that others may prefer to have a simple and respectful sign that brings the loss to their attention. This allows for understanding without the embarrassment of saying or doing the wrong thing in what may be a sensitive and emotional time. The fact that this Symbol shows that this ‘Flag’ is in ‘Front of a Public Building’ implies that this passing away may have importance to many in the community. People, or groups wearing a black armband are similar to the flag at ‘Half-Mast’. Grieving may be a necessary part of the process, but it is also a time for assimilating what it took to get you where you are.
Keywords: Public tribute and recognition. Political affairs. The desire to leave a legacy to society. Having the power or ability to sway the masses or authorities. Signs for all to see. Destinies fulfilled. Coming together as a community or nation to share loss. Judgment on one’s life. Appraisal of deeds and character. Public holidays. Obituaries.
The Caution: Feeling an obligation to carry on without taking time to sort out issues from the past or mourn any loss. Devastation and mourning. Having a burning desire to leave behind something no matter what the cost to self or others.

THE PURGING OF THE PRIESTHOOD
Commentary: ‘The Purging of the Priesthood’ is an image of people having to measure up to spiritual or moral values. Whoever upholds a position in the ‘Priesthood’ should act in an appropriate manner and minister to the needs of people without any ulterior motives. When people don’t live up to their duties or the expectations of others, it often leads to someone having to leave, retire, resign or be ejected. ‘Purging’ means to get rid of and it can lead to scapegoats: those that are thrown into the desert, abandoned and forgotten.
Oracle: Periodically, there is a need to cleanse and purify motives, leading to a better representation of moral and spiritual values. Sometimes there is a need to reexamine moral and spiritual sincerity in a person, corporation, community or situation. Getting rid of people or ideals that hold one back from achieving spiritual goals can open up situations to more trust, sharing and enjoyment. This may be one of those times when you have to dismiss someone, or a group of people, from their duties or from their ability to affect your life in some way. It is easy to lose sight of the ideal through the use of the rationalizing mind, the ego, security issues or emotive passion. However, if someone has not lived up to their responsibilities on some level, then often it’s best for the future, and one’s peace of mind, to be free of them. It may lead to a breakthrough in the understanding of where they’ve gone “off the rails”, as well. Sometimes there’s a need to get clearly out of the reach of people’s “influence”. People who hold ‘Priestly’ attitudes often have quite a lot of power and hold on people. People will often give them power, thereby forsaking their own powers in the process. What side of this ‘Purging’ are you on? Are you the one with the “right” motives? There could be a fear of rejection at work. Whatever your situation, stating your truth and staying with it is the best option.
Keywords: Revealing the truth people for who and what they truly are. Cutting people off. Throwing out things that don’t measure up. Forced retirement and redundancies. Payouts at the end of employment. Dismissals. Opting out for moral reasons. Being fired. Holes left where someone took up a lot of space.
The Caution: Stressful battle over who’s in charge of spiritual needs and direction. Blackmail. The threat of being thrown out. Something being revealed. Evicting people because they deceive, lie or mislead or just because they’re not liked. Bringing somebody down. Scapegoating others. Corruption and scandal that threaten collapse. Wanting to appear to be doing the right thing. Coverups.
Sometimes you’ve got to let everything go-purge yourself. If you are unhappy with anything . . . whatever is bringing you down, get rid of it. Because you’ll find that when you’re free, your true creativity, your true self comes out. Tina Turner
It has been my experience that folks who have no vices have very few virtues. Abraham Lincoln
A priest is a man who is called Father by everyone except his own children who are obliged to call him Uncle.Italian Proverb
Whoever undertakes to set himself up as a judge in the field of truth and knowledge is shipwrecked by the laughter of the Gods. Albert Einstein

Faith is not a thing which one “loses,” we merely cease to shape our lives by it. Georges Bernanos
He that serves at the altar ought to live by the altar. Romanian proverb
While our eclipse energy is not particularly easy, pretty or well behaved, it is exceptionally powerful. Life altering. Be conscious, mindful and careful about what you wish for, pray to or say you want. You will get it! It is not often the universe cooperates so brilliantly with our deepest desires. Now is such a time in the cosmos. Happy Eclipse! Here is to humanity’s conscious evolution!
