Weekly Weather July 2, 2012

Happy Birthday America.

Our week ahead involves processing all we figured out last week as well as releasing or ending an 8 year story around our plans for ourselves. Jupiter meets up with the backwards moving Nodes of Fate on July 2/3. In letting the current 8 year story go, we free ourselves up to move forward to a new chapter.  Remember, releases like these don’t mean that your DREAM is bad or wrong. It means the person before or with you might not be the one to accompany you on your journey for the next 8 years.

Jupiter meets up with the backwards moving Nodes of Fate every 8 years.  Recent releases were September 18, 1990 at 6 Leo, March 19, 1998 at 10 Pisces, August 12, 2005 at 15 Libra and this week at 4 Gemini.  On these dates, Jupiter dipped into the South Node of Fate and let something important or invited something important to leave your life.  Now, Jupiter joins the South Node as he prepares to start a new 12 year cycle in your Gemini house.  Think back to 2000, 1988 and 1976 and the house when Gemini lives to find the new cycle starting in your life.  Notice what leaves. Bid it fond adieu and thank it for the time spent moving your life forward.

Mars moves into Libra ~ leaving behind the nine months of his habit based journey through Virgo.  He’s been asking us to revise or revisit or take actions around our daily routines, rituals and habits for the last nine months especially as they relate to relationships and the structures in our lives as he moves through the 12th house of releasing karma, ending stories, stopping or starting partnerships.  Mars in Virgo has his or her habits.  He likes things the way they are, thank you very much.  She doesn’t much see the need for change or even WANT to change.  If it works, it works.

We ARE creatures of habit.  We love our routines, rituals and those daily structures established to help us find our path.  I remember back when I was a computer consultant in the late 1980s.  I worked on an investigative reporter’s DOS based computer in his very single male bachelor apartment.  No living room furniture.  A chair by the kitchen table.   A mattress on the floor with tussled, musty smelling bed sheets.  A coffee pot near a sink’s worth of dirty dishes.  I noticed his DOS computer booted up every time by prompting for the date and time, asking if the user wanted to change it.  I deleted that “repetitive” prompt as the computer “remembers” what is in it.  A few days later, I received a call from him asking me to come back and put the prompt back in his computer.  When I explained why he didn’t need it, he explained why he DID need it.  The prompt told him the day and time.  He turned it on every morning so he KNEW what day it was and what time it was.  As he investigated mobsters and was frequently “out” for a few days at a time for various and sundry, that date and time prompt was essential to his daily routine and structure.  Make a cup of coffee as the computer booted up and find out where he was in time and space.  Back then, I suggested a clock and a calendar… He just as nicely suggested that the computer date and time prompt suited him just fine, thank you very much.   I went back and fixed what I had broken (with completely good intentions).  I never tinkered “to improve something”, without asking the client first, again.

As Mars reached the LAST degrees of Virgo, we realize how it doesn’t really work QUITE the same way as it used to.  We have arrived at the moment in time where we HAVE to change.

Now Mars in Libra asks us HOW DO WE WANT TO PARTNER with whatever or whoever and move forward to the next chapter?  I imagine my bachelor reporter eventually got a windows based computer and lost his DOS prompt. Or perhaps a girlfriend graced his life and introduced a calendar and a clock as well as a living room couch.  By getting a clock and a calendar, he is going to partner with time and space in a different way.  You, too, are going to be making decisions about who, where, when and how you want to partner with time and space going forward. The time for ACTION BASED decision(S) making has arrived.  Yep. We’ve been talking about it for a while.  And you’ve come to realize the limitations or perhaps the parameters of the situations you are dealing with in your partnerships and relationships. It is time to take action to restructure them.

Think about the reversal of decision making that went on in your life between January 23 and April 13.  Now you have the opportunity (or will have over the next few weeks) to revisit that situation.  The universe is going to invite you to reconsider or reevaluate what you actually WANT and DESIRE in your life. The NY Times Wedding section article on long time bachelor Alec Baldwin, who married last weekend, summed up Mars in Libra: “Given that Mr. Baldwin has been single since his 2002 divorce; his journey from restaurant run-in with Ms. Thomas to committed couple was surprisingly short.

“I’ve dated a lot of people since my divorce, and have thought a lot about what I wanted and what I wanted to do,” Mr. Baldwin said. “I thought about it too much, I suppose. I wasn’t really ready to take that chance and to act until I met Hilaria.” For one, Mr. Baldwin said, “I was ready.”

For each of us, we face a moment of opportunity or choice where we are asked to speak our truths, as we know them, to the world and those around us. Mercury approaches his station and upcoming retrograde, so you MAY SPEAK your truth and then find you need to revise or clarify it a bit more during his retrograde.  Seek clarity in what you say and do.  Make sure you are exquisitely clear. A client recently said “Well he WAS what I asked for!”, as I sought to clarify my understanding of her reaction to him.  He WAS what she said she wanted. Yet she found herself breaking up with him in mid-March because he was so different from what her “normal” boyfriends were like. Now, the universe is offering her a chance to reconnect, reconiter and play, creatively, with him. Or perhaps to clarify what she EXACTLY wants to see if he can, is, will, become the next part of her dream and her life.

As I mentioned before, get back in touch, contact or negotiate relationship terms with the folks in your life who you’ve been working or struggling with since November 2011. If they were “kind of” what you wanted but missed the mark, return and see if they have had a change of heart. Look to see if YOU had a change of heart. Mercury is in the sign of the heart. Speak from the heart and honor Venus as she stations in a Hammer of Thor.  We are ALL messy rooms but what is the underlying potential?  On the other hand, you may discover that NO, you were completely, positively and amazingly clear ~ it is over, done, finished.  If so, pick up and shout to the heavens “NEXT!” and move on.  Saturn is in Libra until the last week of September and asking each of us to partner up and commit OR kick them to the curb (as a CLEAR SIGN to the big guy who IS watching) and shout “NEXT!!” so the next candidate arrives in our lives. Same story with jobs, bosses, kids, co-workers, partners, book deals, etc. Basically, ANYTHING that you partner with is up for consideration and either COMMITMENT or KICK TO THE CURB.

We have a lovely, bright full Moon on Tuesday which takes us back 20 months to January 2011 for the initial seeding of the energy that ripens before us this week. In January 2011, there was a Solar Eclipse on the New Moon.  Bernadette Brady writes of that eclipse in her book “The Eagle and the Lark, A Textbook on Predictive Astrology”, it is the 13 North Series which started on August 14, 1776 ~ shortly after the Declaration of Independence which marked the founding of our country. This is an eclipse family of groups and associations.  Its energy is about large, ambitious group projects.  These group projects will require a separation or the breaking of a bond that already exists.  The individual may well experience this eclipse initially as a separation and then as a joint achievement.

Under this moon it is quite possible that you see the purpose for the group or association you made in January 2011.

The Sabian Image for the Sun at 12:14 Cancer is A HAND, WHICH IS HELD OUT RECEPTIVELY, IS REMARKABLE FOR THE SUGGESTION OF CHARACTER IN ITS PROMINENT THUMB.  Lynda Hill’s interpretation of the Sabian Image is:

Commentary: ‘A Hand, Which Is Held Out Receptively’ implies reaching out to others. The ‘Prominent Thumb’ implies a strong will. This image infers a “handshake” of some kind. A “handshake” can bridge differences and gaps between people, bring them closer together and also show that one doesn’t have (or shouldn’t have!) a hidden agenda. The person reaches out to others showing their strong ‘Character’.

Oracle: Although a degree of flexibility needs to exist in this situation, it will, inevitably, be strength of ‘Character’ and a willingness to extend one’s self to others that will enable you to succeed. Being in control of oneself and one’s environment is an effective and lasting expression of power. It is also important to note that this Symbol is about strength of will and character, and that being receptive does not weaken this. In fact, it is in being receptive that we can truly be powerful and have a positive influence on those around us. The ‘Prominent Thumb’ can show a strong sense of determination and a desire to impress others. However, if this sense of strong determination does not come accompanied by the ability to compromise and listen, it will only create the potential for problems. This can also apply to groups of people and also to elements of your inner self. Reaching out and extending your ‘Hand’ ‘Receptively’ to others may be what’s required. Show that you are approachable and caring, and you’ll most likely see the situation resolve itself naturally. When the time is right you will be able to “grasp” what is needed.

Keywords: Openness and willingness to extend oneself to others. The handshake and the need for it. Being approachable and friendly. Palmistry and palm reading. Having a firm will. Introductions. Strong character. Flexible behavior.

The Caution: An aggressiveness and overbearing nature. Feeling that one is better, or stronger, than others. The smooth handshake that manipulates to impress one’s personality. Unbending and dominant behavior.

The Sabian Image for the Moon at 12:14 Capricorn is A FIRE WORSHIPPER MEDITATES ON THE ULTIMATE REALITIES OF EXISTENCE.   Lynda Hill’s interpretation of the Sabian Image is:

Commentary: ‘A Fire Worshipper Meditates on the Ultimate Realities of Existence’ pictures someone who’s very focused on finding the core truths of ‘Reality’ and the depth and breadth of what it really means to ‘Exist’. ‘Fire Worshipping’ comes from the religion of Zoroastrianism, and is a branch of Vedism. The term Zoroastrianism comes from the Persian prophet Zoroaster or Zarathustra about 630-541 BC. Whilst a young man, he began having conversations with Ahura Mazda, the “Lord of Wisdom”. Fire was seen as the Creative God, as it was said to purify people, especially those that it consumed. “Magian’ is another word for ‘Fire Worshipper’ and can be used to denote an astrologer. Many rituals were observed, amongst these the sacred ‘Fire’ needed to be kept glowing in the home and also in the heart and mind.

Oracle: In your situation, you may find yourself very focused, with a great passion for getting to the core, or the truth, of the ‘Ultimate Realities of Existence’. There may be a need to shut out extraneous sights, sounds and other outside influences that distract or worry. By turning inward, examining your situation and being on the alert for any messages that come your way, either from God or from your higher self, you will see into situations in a way you’ve never done before. There can be a sense of danger, but also a sense of fascination as things are revealed to you. This can picture new beginnings. There may be a need for harnessing personal resources. This Symbol is often about creating magic. Look through appearances to get to the heart of things. Alternatively, it can picture someone who goes to fanatical lengths to understand or promote something. This Symbol often calls into question the true meaning of the material things of life; do they get too much or too little attention?

Keywords: Self-conquest. Kundalini energy. Playing with dangerous elements to reach a higher state of being. Philosophy. The stories of our lives. Examining life and its meaning. The buzz of being alive. Questions of our very existence. Finding the reasons behind everything. Contemplation and meditation. Incense. The hypnotic spell that fire can cast. Staring into the flames. Throwing oneself into the deep end. The search for core truths.

The Caution: Overestimation of personal power and abilities. Obsession to the point of self-obliteration. One-pointedness. Being intense. Going too deeply. Exhausting oneself trying to discover the meaning of life. Excluding family and friends because of philosophical or spiritual convictions. Not seeing the woods for the trees.

Jupiter’s day, Thursday July 5 finds the Aquarius Moon very busy indeed.  She aspects Jupiter, Uranus, Venus and Mercury launching the day off to a creative adventure.  Seeing the big picture is always helpful and quite fun.  Go forward with gusto, supported in the vision or ideas you have for your future. Mercury’s connections with Uranus and Jupiter make it a restless sleep night but very energizing.  Note your dreams upon awakening.  Ceres dives into the South Node of Fate suggesting that something you gave birth to, nurtured or helped grow is leaving, standing up and heading out on their own power. This can be a child, a project, a dream or a vision of a creative partnership that is shifting. It is the companion to the shift that took place on Monday when Jupiter dove into the South Node of releasing and letting go… Let it go. Bless it.  Encourage it to visit frequently.  Remember and celebrate the good times and memories.   Mercury’s hard aspects with Cupido encourage you to let go of old family structures or groups that supported you to embrace the new ones.  Mercury’s adjusting inconjunct to Chiron speaks to letting go of old wounds that created who you were but no longer serve you now.  They are vows you took that have turned into curses or blocks… ask them gently to leave while changing the words you use to describe your life. Choose new words or stories that you can use to define where you are going….. what did you LEARN from it? What of that experience made you  WISER, KINDER or more LOVING?  What did you understand you needed to let go of and leave behind…?  REFRAME that story.  Make it about love instead of loss.

Venus’ day Friday July 6 finds a Void Moon in the afternoon as the weekend starts and folks hit the road to escape. Moon in Aquarius is wrapping up an intellectual or group based journey with her trine to Saturn.  How have your thoughts about things changes. Mercury is quintile to Admetos suggesting you know that something has to end and leave your life.  You have a bit of time but start preparing… you are ready.  In your heart, you know what to do. Mars has a square to Hades inviting you to walk away from partners that make you feel bad.  Why are you staying and excusing bad behavior?  Your heart knows what to do. Listen to it. Mercury sees the pattern ~ who IS that person or relationship before you?  How do they match what you need or no longer need for your life?  See the pattern.  It is all about knowing the energy can go high or low. If it is LOW energy, push it a bit to make it go higher. If  it is HIGH energy, push it a bit higher. There is always a choice in what we accept into our world.  Or perhaps better said, there always is a choice on how we choose to deal with it. Choose to transform.  Saturn has a biquintile aspect to Vesta offering a gift of understanding how your environment further affects your vision of what is possible for yourself. Shift your space, shift your insides.  As without, so within…. See the beauty and the trap of Vesta at the last degree of Taurus… what would happen if you changed?

Saturn’s day, Saturday July 7 Moon in Pisces has a lovely closing aspect making the weekend in general a very smooth flowing energy of connection, ease and fun.  Moon squares Jupiter in the morning so there can be even a bit of emotional overdoing but “for a good reason”.  Venus has a few stressful aspects today making it an evening when you’ll want to take action on difficult emotional topics especially around relationships.  Her inconjunct to Poseidon and square to Chiron suggest the issue is YOURS more than THEIRS.  Own your side of the relationship dynamic.  They are who they are.  You are who you are. What DO you want?  What do you LOVE?  What do you want to CREATE in your life? What is that deep desire in your HEART?  Speak from a heart centered place. If you don’t speak of it, or verbalize it, nothing will change.

Sun’s day Sunday July 8 finds Moon void almost the whole day in Pisces offering us respite and closure on all the swirling emotions of the past few months.  Moon has a trine to Cancer Sun suggesting we feel a sense of connectedness and emotional wholeness.  The void moon encourages us to kick back, play, do spiritual work or meditations.  Mercury has a gift of brilliance with Saturn as he slows to prepare for his station next week. It really IS easy ~ it is all about what you love.  I say it often to clients ~ if it is in your heart, it is in your chart.  Your job is support yourself emotionally, intellectually and physically so you can realize the dream of your heart and your soul’s purpose for incarnating in this life time.  And it always comes down to LEO ~ the purpose of your Sun and your heart’s calling, as defined by your Leo ruled houses. Listen to the wisdom you hear or think. It IS a great idea!  Mars is inconjunct to Neptune in a physically adjusting manner indicating the literal possibility of accidents in the water or by the pool in the afternoon especially between 4 and 5:30 pm EDT.  Or perhaps it will appear as emotional upsets as Neptune and Mars seek to find a balance between their very, very different modes of expressions.  Understand the deeper pattern before you and know that the story has an undertow ~ like the ocean does, which wants to take you deeper.
