We have a WHOPPER of a week ahead of us. No need for a little old lady to yell “ HEY! Where’s the BEEF?” We will be right in the middle of the Beef…. Multiple versions of the word Beef intended!
Mercury retrograde is still in his shadow and active in MY chart ~ so the podcast was full of adventure and the website was taken down by unseen elves causing mischief! It is a big week ~ President’s Day, Mardi Gras, Shrove Tuesday, Ash Wednesday, Lent begins, New Moon, Chinese New Year (goat), Sun enters Pisces, Mars and Venus change signs into Aries ending a 2 year and year long cycle and the two of them meeting up to start a new nine month creative patch. Plus Jupiter forms a big old nasty Finger of God with Ceres and Chiron as the legs opening us up FOR HEALING old wounds around the patriarchy or our personal creativity (or fears of same). It is ALL about love. Focus on the love.
I read an interesting article this week about the brain. When we hurt, the brain “feels” it. When we hang out with someone who is hurting, our brain picks up their hurting and hurts too. For the brain, the imaginary IS REAL!! Who among us hasn’t been moved to tears by a sad movie or scared and jumped when something leaps out at us in the theater. We KNOW it is imaginary however, we are STILL feeling it, reacting to it and involved in it. Our brain is why. Physical pain is the same as imaginary pain. So what to do? If we involve our brain in positive feelings ~ gratitude, compassion, love, and peace. If we connect with things that invoke safety, a sense of being cherished, or focus on feeling worthy or pray to our higher being ~ these things make the brain feel LESS alone and abandoned.
The first half of the week is sad, gloomy and all about release, release, release, let go, let go, let go. In the middle of the week, there is a New MOON at the very, very, very last degree of Aquarius ~ 29:59:54 ~ just 6 seconds and it is a Pisces Moon. But it is NOT a Pisces Moon ~ she be at the anorectic degree of Aquarius… incredibly detached, cold and watchful. Endings, endings, endings! Oodles of endings this week. Of course, Winter is all about reminding us that every season of growth and life culminates in a season of loss and death. Followed by the rebirth of a new spring!
The second half of the week is all about beginnings, beginnings, beginnings. Mars and Venus BOTH enter Aries to ignite our passions, stop making us feel so melancholy and depressed and inspire us to new heights and visions. They meet up on Sunday to start a creative, romance and love cycle that runs until November 2, 2015.
Sun enters Pisces for 30 days on Wednesday, finishing the winter season for us in the Northern Hemisphere, evoking the inner poet or muse of our being. Take time for spa treatments. Indulge in afternoons of conversations, tea and crumpets. Sit silently with your musings by the crackling fire with a cat in your lap purring. Cook delicious smelling and tasting stews and soups. Create extra time between the sheets spent dreaming or cuddling with your beloved. Winter inspires us to indoor activities that are creative and cozy. And you can always shovel snow!
Jupiter forms a Finger of God with Chiron and Ceres as the legs on Wednesday and Thursday. It is time for some deep soul healing. Allow yourself to be nurtured and cared for (or make it a point to schedule some serious self-care into your calendar! Mars and Venus at the last degrees of Pisces can make you feel like a motherless child ~ ultimately we all are motherless children when facing the great universe alone and naked. Self-care and deep nurturing are called for as a comfort or creative expression of desire and abundance. Creativity is inspired this week as Jupiter works with these two planets from the 5th house of self-expression. Ceres in the 10th house invites us to move our creative efforts out into the world. Chiron in the 12th reminds us that from our wounds spring our greatest wisdom as well as our gifts in helping others to heal.
Excellent opportunity to clear out and clean up your home, office and hearth on Tuesday!
Health matters can take a turn for the worst on Sunday as Astraea aspects the Nodes of Destiny by declination. Go to the doctor if a health matter drops into a sadder or more desperate space. Hygiea stations to go direct at 2 Cancer Sunday too ~ marking a sharp shift in what needs to be done. If a friend is nagging you to take care of a health matter would you please listen to them and DO IT!!??
Uranus and Pluto continue to travel forward together, on the road again, separated by about a degree as they approach their final, seventh square on March 15. Their energy will continue to be intense. On any given day, you can be either Pluto or Uranus as you and the world bounce along in all this turbulent energy. Expect more abuses and abusers of power to be exposed and taken down through mid-April when Pluto stations to go retrograde.
We enter a period of frequent day long void Moons because Saturn entered Sagittarius. The last degrees of the various planets are in early degrees in the zodiac. Take the day long void moons and use them to connect with your spiritual purpose on earth.
The Moon has two long void moons ~ Friday and Sunday. Moon in Capricorn has an afternoon off Monday, after accomplishing a great deal in the morning. Aquarius Moon wraps up a number of stories Tuesday and Wednesday prior to the New Moon on Wednesday evening at the very last degrees of Aquarius. Moon enters Pisces at virtually the same time as the Sun does, and so emotionally the two of them bid Mars and Venus a sad and solemn adieu as they leave Pisces the following day. Friday is a big funeral day, void in Pisces. Moon enters Aries Friday night to accomplish quite a bit Saturday. Sunday, the Moon in Aries takes a fritter day ~ take the day to do what you please and express the exuberance of the personal planets Venus and Mars in Aries Fire after a long, soggy, emotional and scattered journey in Pisces. Moon enters Taurus Sunday night so folks can feel more grounded and centered in preparation for the week ahead.
Mars is still a very busy guy this week. In mutable water, he is darting like a little fish all over the heavens. As he’s in the last sign of the Zodiac, he is also ending things as he travels through the last bits of Pisces. Expect lots of goodbyes this week ~ planned and unplanned. Job offers, moves, deaths, breakups~ Mars in Pisces slips into our world and wraps up things! It is all to prepare for his entry into Aries on Thursday. He begins of a new Mundane cycle of 2 years! So if you feel overwhelmed with all you have to do, you are exactly in the right place. He’s busy but slippery so watch for things to slip through the cracks.
Venus wraps up her Pisces journey this week and enters Aries on Friday February 20. As it is a week where we can feel very alone with both personal planets Mars and Venus at the end of Pisces and Sun at the end of the party signified by Aquarius, standing alone trying to figure out what to do next, take time to sit in gratitude for what you DO have, what you DID, who you LOVED, where you’ve traveled and EVOLVED during your life, when you were in a LOVING space, how you can CONNECT with your essential being and why you EXIST on earth.
This is our last week of folks departing as Mars and Venus finish up their respective journeys in Pisces. Older people and those who are sick or with a tenuous hold on life will leave us. It is another big suicide and death week. Connect and send lots of love to folks who are feeling depressed or suicidal or sad ….Mars and Venus in Pisces ends matters as he exits the zodiac’s last sign. Even check in with folks who you THINK are okay but might not be ~ I spoke with a dear friend who relayed to me she’d been thinking about how to kill herself so her children wouldn’t know it was suicide ~ bad enough to lose their mother. I was quite shocked but realized this energy has a very despairing kind of vibe to it. After Thursday night, when Mars enters Aries, we are off like a ROCKET so stand back!
Void Moons in the Week Ahead: When the Moon is Void, it is wise to avoid making important decisions as they tend to be unrealistic, and subject to false starts, errors or unexpected hassles. There is a New Moon on Wednesday at 6:47 pm at 29:59:54 Aquarius. Moon’s closing aspect is a conjunction to the Sun and goes void right after. The New Moon has phases over the next 2 ½ years: The New Moon on February 18, 2015, Opening quarter on November 19, 2015, the Full Moon on August 18, 2016, and the Closing quarter on May 18, 2017. Plot longer creative projects to match the phases of the Moon to evolve over the two plus year cycle. Of course, for shorter projects, the usual 30 day approach works too!!

Commentary: ‘Moonlit Fields, Once Babylon, Are Blooming White’ is an expression of purity, innocence and the fruits of the past. The Hanging Gardens of Babylon were a magnificent structure that long ago celebrated the rule of human culture. The Gardens were said to be enormous structures with incredibly intricate watering systems. They are one of the Wonders of the Ancient World. Whether real or not, these Gardens appeal to the human desire to return to the simple and exquisite life of the garden of Eden, a life of earthly paradise. The myth of an original garden with perfumed trees and luscious fruits, birds and animal life, and rivers of life-giving waters is common to many faiths including Christianity, Judaism and Islam. Moon day Monday February 16, 2015 Moon is in Capricorn and goes void Sextile to Mars at 03:18:06 pm EST. Moon void Monday afternoon. Moon Enters Aquarius at 07:14:14 pm EST. Mars and Venus at the last, last, last degrees of Pisces all week push the ending and releasing energy. Not a lot of extra energy for anything BUT releasing. Venus has lots of health issues too so she may find herself with a cold or a DEEP need to run away and not hangout in the world. Expect lots of extra water. It is instructive that Niagara Falls is frozen ~ that thundering body of water has stopped, in frozen water, and reminds us of the dead of winter energy needing to be preserved and protected. Not much extra to go around! Venus has a fit of jealousy mid-day when she find herself strangely irritated by the world around her. Sun’s aspect to Admetos ends a story. Moon’s entry in Aquarius gets a bit more energy flowing in the world. Moon’s union with Mercury at day’s end brings news that you might find unexpected or strange. Yes, it is true. Mars’s day Tuesday February 17, 2015 Moon is in Aquarius and goes void joined to the Sun. Another difficult night of sleeping full of tossing and turning. Mars activates the areas we are supposed to move on or towards. Today you might find the situations you are in are difficult or different than what you usually experience. Aquarius Moon at such a late degree marks a 30 day and a 2 ½ year cycle of releasing endings for the group and the collective. Right after the void moon, Moon Enters Pisces at 06:48:33 pm EST and Moon goes void sextile to Pluto with power and abundance on Thursday night. These two days are very powerful and transformative. Happy Chinese New Year of the Wood Goat (or Sheep)!!! Today, Mars enters Aries at 7:12 pm EST until March 31 taking positive action and forward movement into a brand new two year cycle. The Mars Ingress has lovely Venus in last degrees of Pisces ruling the North Node of Destiny in the first house, combined with the energy of the crescent Moon in Pisces with Pisces Sun. Mars in the seventh house near the South Node invites us to take advantage of his energy to release the things that block us physically and emotionally. We have until the Spring Ingress on March 20 to kick those last few things blocking us out of our lives. Probably not permanent but in the moment you CAN work together and collaborate. Venus is parallel Chiron adding a feminine nature to the wound. And it can be a very deep soul wound that is activated. Work in the etheric spaces if you can’t work on the physical plane. Juno’s parallel to Sedna invites you to NOT partnership with victimization. Or if you feel like you are being turned into a victim, make sure to step back and say “No victims here!” and then proceed. It is all too easy to fall back into old roles. Take a positive step in a change of roles direction.
Friday Venus’s Day February 20, 2014 Moon is in Pisces and void Friday. Moon Enters Aries at 06:14:06 pm EST and goes void trine to Jupiter. The day is mellow and easy as Pisces Moon floats forward and Venus is at the last degrees of Pisces. Midday, at 3:05 pm, Venus enters Aries to start a woo-eee!! Wild adventures accompany the extreme shift from dreamy oceanic water to sharp, piercing Aries go for it energy. Venus will be in Aries until March 17, so expect excitement and a very severe case of spring fever! Last night, you argued in your dreams and ended situations. You wake up with a sense of was it a dream or reality? Both! The brain in its infinite wisdom uses our dreams and our active imagination to create our lives. Focus your vision and energy in these last bits of Venus in Pisces exaltation towards the life you want to create. Patterns are easily broken today (or made conscious) with Pallas and Mercury’s conversations. Sun stimulates Ceres, activating the separating Finger of God’s leg ~ what are you here to create? What do you want to create? Mars in early Aries can be a bit bossy! So only listen to him if you want to. Moon and Venus connect around 6:30 pm and Moon connects with Mars at 7:28 pm making today a very interesting relationship day indeed! If Valentine’s Day was a bust, have another one tonight! Saturn’s Day Saturday February 21, 2015 Moon is in Aries and goes void Trine Jupiter at 07:36:50 pm EST. Moon is void Saturday night and Sunday. Today you can get oodles of things accomplished and off your to-do list. Moon in Aries is very busy and sets off Pluto and joins with Uranus to conquer the piles, blocks and things holding you back. A good day to break things! Dreams last night wake you up inspired to go out and conquer the world! It might be too much of a good thing if you aren’t careful~ it can easily swing into overdoing. But that tired muscle ache after a work-out or heavy labor can also feel GOOD!
Sun’s day Sunday February 22, 2015 Moon is void in Aries during the day. Moon Enters Taurus at 07:29:15 pm EST and goes void square to Jupiter. Venus links up with Mars to start a quick 9 month cycle modifying on Sept 1, 2015 (Venus will be retrograde at 14 Leo ~ same degree as Jupiter is now!) and ending on November 2, 2015. Venus and Mars ask and invite you to go for what you want ~especially when they are sitting right there on the world axis! Venus and Mars cycles vary because of their orbits~ the next cycle of Venus/Mars runs from November 2, 2015 to October 5, 2107. Health matters swell as the Nodes are activated by Astraea so take all health matters seriously. Hygeia stations direct at 2:14 Cancer and receives a square from Venus and Mars ~ health matters shift rapidly. Saturn is cooperatively working with partnerships and encouraging each of us to follow our passions, desires and what we love ~ Juno in Leo asks us to partner with our heart. Moon in Taurus has a lovely closing aspect of an overdoing square to Jupiter so you can expect abundance Sunday night. Possibility of a fight or hearing sad news tonight at the end of the day.
