Not right or wrong ~ it just IS…

Last week, the Sun and Mercury went into Virgo and a stressed out Cardinal Cross formed with Venus ~ the planet of love, desire and happiness was right in the cross fire of Pluto, Jupiter and Uranus. She took quite a few hits. Sun and Mercury had a field day pointing out all the flaws, faults and problems.  Quite a few folks called, wrote or came for readings in a soggy, teary pile of despair and sadness.

“I am despairing.”  “I hate the choices I’ve made.” “I screwed up my life.”  “I failed again.”

When THAT many people are having the SAME reaction, I know SOMETHING is up which needs to be addressed.

First: You don’t FAIL your life. There are NO grades any more. You are out of school (at least most of you are).  Grades left your life when you stopped school. No “F”s or “D”s in life. Not even Pass/Fail.  You are here. You are alive. You are a work in progress. Maybe you audited the last class but you still LEARNED something. Life is a PROCESS. Chapters end. Change happens. You can’t FAIL your life.

HOWEVER: VIRGO is all about assessment, evaluation and analysis. Virgo looks at the tomato with a critical eye to determine its ripeness.  Not Ripe= left on the vine. Ripe = picked and put in the basket. Over Ripe=made into salsa right away and eaten today! Rotten=left on the ground to make NEXT year’s tomatoes and feed the various critters who like ripe tomatoes as much as you do.

YOU ARE NOT A ROTTEN TOMATO!

Calling yourself a rotting, unconscious nightshade is NOT conducive to happiness. Evaluating yourself in a negative manner is NOT helpful. Virgo, in her higher form, is able to see the flaws YET WORK WITH THEM, correct them, adjust them, suggest considerations for how to get the flaws to show themselves in their best light. Virgo tries to fix things.

Often missed is VIRGO IS CREATIVE too!

Virgo is HIGHLY creative ~ she is the sign AFTER LEO so she’s incorporated all that creative energy of Leo into her being with a healthy, skill filled dose of HOW to do it too. I’d put a Virgo up against a Leo any day ~those Virgo folks know their skills set! Virgo KNOWS how to whip those overripe tomatoes into a delicious gazpacho soup with a dash of lemon and a zesty shot of tabasco. Last week, with all the planets in shifting into Virgo, I said NO FIXING. GO FOR CREATION.

I forgot to warn you about the Virgo planets planning to dump on your head every flaw and problem in your life in a rather nasty, cosmic YOU FAILED AGAIN list of undone, incompletes, missed or blown opportunities, problems, tears, worries and health problems.

So I apologize. Virgo wants to remind you that you CAN CHANGE. You HAVE accomplished QUITE a bit in your life. Let’s look at the good stuff in your life this week.  You can change it… you can, you can, you can. Just like that little red engine that could.

The Week’s Planetary Highlights 

The Star of David is reformed and continues until September 16 when Jupiter pulls away, breaking up the energy. Use the Star wisely and aggressively ~ we don’t get this emotionally creative trine between Saturn, Jupiter and Neptune again! The next trine is 2145 in 132 years!

Sun sets off the Star of David by opposing Neptune ~ awakening and clarify your dreams, sextiles Saturn showing you the result of your work and decisions, trines both Pluto transforming the power dynamic, and the South Node asking us to release our judgments about beauty, love and desire.

Mercury sets off the Star of David by opposing Neptune ~ inquiring about your next vision or dream, sextiles Saturn speaking about the structures you have established, trines both Pluto and the South Node pointing out how you got where you are. Mercury is moving fast so he also opposes Chiron, activating the wound, inconjuncts Uranus inviting us to adjust our perceptions and sextiles Jupiter offering a conversation about relationships in the world.

The Cardinal Cross of Venus, Pluto, Uranus, and Jupiter is activated by Venus twice this week, as she opposes Uranus and breaks up relationships as she highlights desires and squares Jupiter to expand her dreams and over-do it. Venus makes the Cardinal Cross a VERY active configuration. Push for your dreams.  Create! Crosses get things DONE!

Mars enters Leo on Aug 27 2013 at 10:05:01 pm EDT and stays there until October 15, 2013, a total of 50 days. As Sun is ruling Mars, we all have Mars in Virgos for the next 25 days while Sun is in Virgo. Make the action plans. Start that exercise program. Change your diet. Get organized.

Ceres enters Virgo on August 28, 2013 at 06:18:04 am EDT and stays there until November 3, 2013, a total of 68 days. Oh that lifestyle theme again ~ change your food, change your life. Add a daily 100 to your life ~ pushups, stairs climbed, legs lifted, situps, arm curls. Or maybe 68?

Admetos stations at 28 Taurus to go retrograde on August 28, 2013 at 01:13:20 am EDT bringing an end to things or marking a concluding chapter. The ending is firm and permanent.

Void Moons in the Week Ahead: When the Moon is Void, it is wise to avoid making important decisions as they tend to be unrealistic, and subject to false starts, errors or unexpected hassles.  Avoid being concerned with things beyond your spiritual center.  It is time for subjective, spiritual and non-materialistic concerns. Kick back, let life flow and center yourself. Connect into your essential oneness with the Universal Forces.

Moon goes void trine to Venus on Thursday, August 29, 2013 at 00:45:36 am EDT and enters Cancer on Friday, August 30, 2013 at 07:33:45 am EDT. Moon is void all day Thursday.

Moon goes void square to Venus on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at 08:07:34 pm EDT and enters Leo on Sunday, September 1, 2013 at 08:01:47 pm EDT. Moon is void all day Sunday.

So let’s start anew. Go back to last week’s advice: To the best of your ability, practice detachment from outcome. Send the situations causing you indigestion light and love.  Ask how you can create. No more FIXING!  We are creating.  Create love.  Focus on love and creation. Dance like a five year old. Focus your energy. Stand in JOY.  Create in LOVE.

Saturn is returning to old points in our chart.  Saturn in Scorpio speaks to us in a large voice or a quiet whisper in our ear about the process. The Star of David is reformed.  It is asking us to shift our direction toward our vision. To follow the Stars in our individual chart. If it is in your heart, it is in your chart.

It is a three page week which means we’ll be super active to get things accomplished, set up, delivered and done. Again, there are no grades in your life any more. You can’t fail if you follow the call of your heart. Mercury in Virgo is moving super fast, from 5 degrees to 16 so expect to have trouble keeping up with everything you have to do.

Michelle wrote in about my comment last week: Aries Moons leave and walk out rather than being grown up and figuring out how to be in a relationship.  She said: “And I thought I walked away so I wouldn’t hurt folks with my sharp tongue.  Maybe I need to rethink this approach.”

Take time this week, with Mercury in Virgo, to listen to what the other person is thinking or saying. Ask. Listen. You might be surprised at what you learn. Or change how you think. Or take a different approach.

Moon’s day, Monday August 26, 2013 Moon is in Taurus with positive closing aspects of a sextile to Mars in Cancer. Today and Tuesday are GREAT days to get things accomplished. Saturn challenges existing partnerships and routines in a healthy and productive way. Make a plan and get things accomplished. Venus asks you to adjust your concept of relationships as she helps you see the woundedness of the other person or situation. Kindness is called for. Don’t operate out of the wound. Hold it together and stand in a space of love. Venus opposes Uranus so you have a very profound opportunity to change the difficult dynamic before you and shift it into a new position or adjust your approach to it. Mercury’s aspect of brilliance to Uranus invites you to document your new approach and share it with others. You are seeing things clearly and in an unusual way. Sun’s opposition to Neptune clears so you can see things you never saw before ~ or you see them in a different way.  Having dealt with many varieties of Aries all my life, when Michelle wrote “And I thought I walked away so I wouldn’t hurt folks with my sharp tongue.” It was a revelation! My Pisces Moon saw the Aries walk away a refusal to be in relationship ~ but I categorized it as selfish behavior rather than preservation behavior.  Where have you seen things shift this week?

Mars Day, Tuesday August 27, 2013 Moon goes void sextile to Mars on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at 06:59:06 pm EDT and enters Gemini at 07:09:00 pm EDT.  After a night of turbulent dreams, we have a lovely, productive Taurus Moon all day that gets a great deal accomplished. Mercury wakes us up with news about authority figures and changes in relationships. Venus’ square to Jupiter sets off the cardinal cross in an overdoing fashion, pushing us to express our relationship desires and needs in a different manner~ you can’t get it if you don’t ask for it. Gotta put the order to get lunch ~ it is the same with relationships.  Just push, push, push through that to do list. Mars enters Leo tonight for 50 days of creative, action oriented, fixed love energy with a large dash of Virgo productivity, process and procedures.

Mercury’s day, Wednesday August 28, 2013  Moon is in Gemini and also quite productive the next two days with her closing aspect of a trine to Venus. Another tossing and turning, dream filled night. Ah the messages that Mercury is delivering are profound. Write them down so you don’t forget them. Admetos stations today at 28 Taurus. Admetos often marks a shift in the story and an ending chapter, frequently of a medical nature. He’s not the friendliest of the TransNeptunians as he is often present in profound shifts in life direction ~ good or bad. Admetos’ symbol is Mercury with the cross of “Matter” inside of the circle. As Eileen Nauman says in her excellent monograph on Admetos: “Mercury symbolizes the Cosmic antenna that all Admetos people possess. The Cross of Matter means that they can not only ground what they ‘receive’ from their antenna, but manifest it into our third dimensional world. These are world beaters. World builders. Ceres enters Virgo for 68 days. Ceres LOVES being in Virgo, the sign of grain, the harvest and the Virgin with the bundle of freshly harvested wheat in her arms. Today start any kind of healthy life changing behaviors ~Admetos’ station combined with Ceres entry into Virgo completely support them!  It is a busy, busy day as Mercury is all over the place, including trining Pluto to induce the triangle energy to speak up and say it’s truth.  Pallas has an aspect of truthfulness today as it releases and understands old patterns that once worked but no longer seem to be of value. Often we make a vow when we are young or find ourselves in a difficult situation… “I will never ever xyz again!”  That vow grows and grows. Eventually, it becomes a curse. We keep it because we don’t realize it is operating, underneath, deep inside of us. Our computer program of a brain keeps running the vow even as we’ve actually outgrown it. But if we never go back and examine those vows/curses, we keep creating the same story over and over again in our life. The purpose of the Star of David is to illuminate where there are vows that have turned into curses in your life… and to help you change or adjust the vows into a new versions or creations.  Versions and creations that serve you where you find yourself now in your life. Release those old vows that don’t work for you, across time, space, and eternity. Allow them to heal. Jupiter pushes against Admetos’ station, encouraging a shift in our energy. Mercury and the Sun shift their understanding of each other… see it as process not something you passed or failed. Mercury connects with the Nodes of Fate today ~ magic can happen IF you change how you think and what you believe is possible for you. Explore the possibilities. Imagine the alternatives. Take advantage of the Moon in Gemini to explore your options.

Jupiter’s day, Thursday August 29, 2013 Moon goes void trine to Venus on Thursday, August 29, 2013 at 00:45:36 am EDT. Moon is void all day Thursday. However, Moon STILL has great closing aspects so prepare things and get them out the door into other people’s hands tomorrow. Venus connects with a profound energy seeking to launch her out into the world as she frolics with Zeus, the sky god. Yes, the sky is the limit ~ so shoot your arrow high! Jupiter’s opposition to Astraea offers healing information and help.  Sun’s inconjunct to Juno asks for detachment while at the same time it explores options. Pallas’ square to Eris invites partnership energy to express itself in an angry manner. Allow that pattern that you are seeing to settle into your being. You don’t have to do anything right this second but you do need to see it. Mercury’s opposition to Chiron in Pisces encourages a new approach to any news about illness or disease. Get all the facts and understand the details as best you can. Bring a second pair of ears and eyes to help you discern the truth from untruth. Ceres and Venus want to heal the wounds… allow them to minister to you. Or offer to minister to others who need support in healing their wounds.  Mercury has an adjusting aspect to Uranus which offers an ability to take a new approach to an old problem.

Venus’ day, Friday August 30, 2013. Moon enters Cancer on Friday, August 30, 2013 at 07:33:45 am EDT and has a closing aspect of a square to Venus.  Squares between the feminine planets often appear to ask us to either/or choose. You CAN do both you know. You just have to consciously apply to take on both energies rather than favoring one over the other. Another night of wild dreams. Sun’s sextile to Saturn encourages the Star of David to show you HOW to achieve your dreams. Listen to the suggestions of others and try them out. If you don’t change how you approach the situation, it will not change. When you change, it changes. Often people come to me and say “I want him/her to change.”  I say “Nope. Not going to happen.”  We can change how WE respond. Trying to make others change is a waste of time. They are who they are. For a while in New York, there was a very funny off-Broadway show “I love you. You are Perfect. Now change!”  Appreciate the differences. Love them. Bless them. Send them gratitude. Send them love. The differences actually were what attracted you in the first place if you remember back to those early days. Mercury is full of information again today. Gather all news and keep track of it, especially information which will help you heal. You can be irritated tonight in a public way or be near a public fight. Ego wants to express itself. Does Ego actually NEED to be seen or heard? Yes, part of the journey is to notice when Ego wants to assert itself. It often feels it is being asked to diminish. Comfort it. Mercury’s sextile to Jupiter suggests people really want to be listened to. Curl up with a beloved tonight as Moon cuddles with Sun.

Saturn’s day Saturday August 31, 2013 Moon in Cancer goes void square to Venus in Libra on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at 08:07:34 pm EDT. Today, the Moon in sensitive Cancer is going to set off the Cardinal Cross and activate all that emotional and transformative energy. Expect emotional reactions and overreactions, starting bright and early. Venus’ aspect to Chiron causes wounds to emerge quickly and be comforted just as rapidly. It is a rapid fire, emotionally excessive day. Mercury is flying through the sky setting off many conversations and revelations. Tonight there is a lovely healing energy so take advantage of it. Deep emotions around women take place tonight.

Sun’s Day Sunday Sept 1, 2013 Moon is void all day in Cancer and enters Leo on Sunday, September 1, 2013 at 08:01:47 pm EDT. Today is a fun and expansive day after a night of transformative dreams. Sun trines Pluto, activating the Star of David and illuminating where your Ego needs to partner with evolution and transformation. Venus is deeply emotional today because she understands the profound nature of love and connection. Relationships seek deeper expression today so allow them to voice their feelings. Listen carefully to what is said. Mid-day you might find you are irritated with the patterns you see before you but they are in the process of changing too.  We are all messy rooms some times. Mercury is able to understand the irritation or sense of despair that things will never change. Of course they will change. You don’t step into the same river twice… it is constantly moving. You, too, are constantly moving and able to shift the energy if you are aware of it. Focus on what you can create today. No fixing. Sun connects with the Nodes of Fate tonight ~ allow your ego to express itself. Let go of that which needs to leave. Embrace what you want to hold on to. Notice if you meet someone today ~ they can be important to your future. It is also possible to hear from someone you’ve misplaced or lost contact with.
