Weekly Weather September 6, 2010
Our week ahead is a two page week, offering us lots of energy and action as the aspects form in the heavens. Every week I print out the aspects before writing the column ~ when there are TWO pages of aspects, I know we are up for a bit of a wild ride. So fasten your seat belts, the heavens are dancing and pointing out where to do our own cha-cha-cha! Cha-Cha-Cha ~ we dance with the stars!
There is a powerful New Moon in Virgo on Wednesday. The New Moon can be very dynamic and extremely helpful in changing our own habits, routines and rituals on a physical level. The planets in the New Moon chart tie into fixed stars that ask us to be aware that the actions we take under the New Moon CAN cause problems for ourselves or change things radically in ways that are unexpected or unanticipated. It is a New Moon that holds a passel of unintended results or consequences. You want one thing but another thing, close but no cigar, shows up instead. Be quite specific about what you are looking to change under the New Moon. Be aware that the energy of the New Moon is fast moving and a bit bizarre. Be very aware of the actions you take as the ruler of the Sun and Moon is Mercury who is currently moving retrograde.
In electional astrology, where we work consciously with the day’s energy to create or take action, there are cautions against working with a day where planets change signs or station. Under this New Moon’s journey in Virgo, BOTH Venus and Jupiter change signs. Venus, the benefic changes signs from partner and air action oriented Libra, which she loves, into Scorpio, the sign of her detriment or emotional problems of fixed passionate dark swamp water ~ moving from relationships that are balanced and light based into dealing with death, endings and the first killing frost. Jupiter, the benefic changes, while moving retrograde, from cardinal fire action taking Aries into emotional, water changing Pisces bringing his passionate fire and plunging it into an ocean!
Mercury is retrograde so there CAN and WILL be unintended consequences to actions taken under the New Moon energy. No matter how prepared you think you are, you are not going to see it coming. Mercury, the Lord of Tricks, is very literal right now. If you are crystal clear about what you want, unintended consequences be damned, take action. If you are not 100% sure what you want OR if your actions could freak out another person or yourself, stir up a difficult matter or cause problems in some way, please wait a week until both Mercury and Pluto station to go direct and the energy is working in more predictable and well behaved ways.
Because the ruler of the New Moon is cooperating with the Nodes of Destiny, there is an uncontrollable energy to this New Moon.
All week, we continue to work with Mercury, in one of his most powerful retrogrades in many years, as he asks us to sharpen, clarify and be specific about what we want to create. Focus, be clear and crisp. Think more around what you want to release under the New Moon. Yes, I know we think of New Moons as creating. They do create. This one creates by releasing, letting go and changing. Look at the two “good’ planets that change signs on the day of the New Moon. Whenever planets change signs, they release the old signs energy. So the charge of New Beginnings offered by the New Moon is centered around New Beginnings created by letting go of things. Wild eh?
We know when planets change signs, we can expect turbulence. Venus going from Libra into Scorpio is not a pleasant shift. It is moving from the colored leaf changing beauty of fall signified by Libra into the first killing frost of fall marked by Scorpio. Leaves fall from the trees and create skeletons ~ the end of the growing season arrives.
Jupiter is shifting backwards into Pisces, where he is going to restart the story you thought was finished last spring. Expect the story from April 29 to June 6 to reappear in your life and seek resolution. It ain’t over yet! And you thought it was finished! Expect a resurrection of sorts ~ at least until November 19 when it REALLY wants to be finished.
Saturn passed the point of his station from last January 14th, 2010 on Sunday, September 5th, 2010. We are officially into brand new Saturn territory, the degrees from 4:39 to 5:29 are set off this week! Saturn is waking up the story from October 1980 through July 1981 for you to review and replay in your life this week. If you were a little person then, look to the story going on with your parents to see how it is replaying in your life now.
Saturn is moving REALLY fast through early Libra and gets to 17:13 in late January 2011, when he stations to go backwards. Saturn is squaring the Lunar eclipse from June 26th, 2010 this week, setting off the emotional purpose of the eclipse and bringing June‘s story back up again.
Over the next few weeks, Saturn will be offering you a choice about how and what you want to do as he approaches his square with the Nodes of Destiny. Get thinking about what you want or need in your life ~ what structures do you need to support you? What structures or objects are worn out and need to go to the cosmic compost pile?
Because the planets speed up this fall, it will feel like we are FLYING through things. And we will be! Get a good solid base started and settled over the next few weeks, particularly after Mercury stations to go direct at the end of this week. Make the plans this week. Implement the plans starting next week. Saturn in Libra wants us to partner equally or equitably with others to create.
Mercury stations to move direct on Sunday, September 12th. He is joined by Pluto stationing to go direct on September 14th. Two planets stopped in the sky create a great deal of tension over the upcoming weekend. The two buddies are working together in earth to create, create, create. But first they will collapse structures. Expect major news or economic changes as we approach the end of the week as both Pluto and Mercury stop in the sky in a trine to each other. It feels like a “sober up” and “get serious” aspect to my mind.
Moon’s Day, September 6 ~ Happy Labor Day! A holiday in the States, we celebrate our work and our routines with a day off from them. Virgo Sun offers us the opportunity to beautify our home or our life with his aspect to beauty based Vesta in Libra. Clear the clutter. Paint. Reorganize. Tackle that project you’ve been avoiding….It will fly today. Moon in Leo is extra creative with lovely closing aspects of a sextile to Venus in gorgeous, beautifying Libra. Create what you love in your life today. Look for patterns that can be expanded or modified or changed ~ dream the expansion and push off from it to your new destination. Leave those old patterns behind. Look at those old wounds ~ they so don’t sting any more. Consciousness helps. As does knowing they DO that behavior because it WORKS on you. Or used to work on you. It doesn’t work the same way at all any more. Mars wants to clean out the old health issues making this a lovely day to undertake a cleansing fast. Or to prep your healthy meals for the week. Relationships can have stress in the early evening as we start to get ready for the new beginnings starting this week.
Tuesday, Mars’ Day September 7 finds the Moon in Virgo, a dark moon, releasing and getting ready for a new adventure. Moon has solid working aspects with Pluto helping to create after a dream filled night. Write the messages down from the Dark Moon Goddess as she’s speaking to your soul from the dream world. Finances and money have sudden changes and adjustments today as Venus and Uranus fight at the last degrees of their respective signs. Words spoken with out thinking can be very wounding. Take a creative and offbeat approach to issues around the office and your home. Try it and see how

Wednesday, Mercury’s day, September 8 finds us dealing with a very strong and powerful New Moon. Read the column on this site to learn how to work with the energy productively. New Moons are often used in rituals to create things. This Moon is a bit trickier ~ use it to RELEASE things that you don’t want any more ~ release the bad diet habits instead of starting a new diet routine. It is retrograde and has difficult separating closing aspects of an opposition to Uranus. Both Venus and Jupiter change signs adding a great deal of turbulence and unexpected outcomes to the energy of the New Moon and today. Eris, the Goddess of Discord is in a bit of a hissy fit today so people can be strangely emotional and out of sorts, erupting into discord at the least provocation. They will feel you provoked them. Proceed with caution. Venus enters Scorpio, one of her least favorite signs, in which she will spend the next 60 days, with a brief break of 22 days in Libra and then another 40 days in Scorpio! We are going to talk about her 100 Days of OVER the Top Scorpio Passion and that long journey NEXT week. Expect excitement though! Venus also argues with Jupiter ~ not good when the happy planets are having a fight in the sky. Live in the moment today. Be flexible. Tonight words can REALLY hurt. As my mother used to say, if you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all. And I don’t care HOW irritated you are. Some one in the room has to be the adult.

Thursday, Jupiter’s day, September 9 finds Moon moving into Libra sets off the easy part of the t-square at night while we are sleeping. Then Moon sets off the difficult parts of the t-square during the day, stimulating Pluto and Saturn. Normally, Libra Moon is not a big deal but right now she’s answering to Venus in 100 Days of Over the TOP Scorpio Passion. Venus in Scorpio is taking all the Libra planets with her into the passion. As Saturn is in Libra ~ he’s answering to Venus in Scorpio in 100 Days of Over the TOP Passion. As Pluto and the North Node are in Capricorn, they are answering to Venus in 100 Days of Over the TOP Scorpio Passion. As Chiron and Neptune are in Aquarius, they are answering to Venus in 100 Days of Over the TOP Scorpio Passion. You will FEEL the shift energetically as it will be quite profound ~ 100 Days of Over the TOP Scorpio Passion coming into your life! Mars is quite active today boosting, pushing, prodding, kicking the can a bit further down the street. Give yourself permission to stretch and dream today. Sure, obstacles exist but let the dream talk to you too. What is a good dream if it doesn’t have a decent obstacle or two? Mars trines Neptune asking you to work on creating the dream. Neptune is where we seek redemption, find our own version of big or little G God or Goddess for the pagans out there. Today is a new beginning. It also is Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year. Beginnings often take place with dreams imbedded in them. Think of the dreams you’ve had when you got married, had your child, found your job, bought your car or got accepted to the school of your choice. Understand how the dream morphed into reality. And how the reality was ultimately lived out. Today is reserved for the DREAM ~ the impossible, improbable, unbelievable but hey it is in your heart so it MUST be in your chart! If it is in your chart/heart, it IS your natal potential. Give yourself permission to believe it. No dream squashing your own dream!
Friday, Venus’ Day September 10 Moon in Libra continues to answer to 100 Days of Over the TOP Scorpio Passion. Her closing aspect is a union with Mars answering to 100 Days of Over the TOP Scorpio Passion ~ a great day to accomplish things, conquer high walls, climb mountains and ford streams. Dreams are exciting so record them upon awakening. There can be a bit of trouble with working with people stuck in old patterns but you can power right through that block if you find the common ground and the place where you agree. Look for the connection place. Family or friends who you think of as family are NOT places to power right through as they will find that behavior annoying. Be kind to them. Mars sees a way to jump over barricades as Venus understands how she wants to relate in a new way during her 100 Days of Over the TOP Scorpio Passion. Watch for adjustments to heart and vitality issues ~ this is a day when people who can’t take it any more, decide to move on from earth.
Saturn’s Day, September 11. Happy Birthday to ME! I’ve shared my birthday for the past 9 years with 9-11 ~ on the nodal reversal, I am reclaiming it using my 100 Days of Over the TOP Scorpio Passion! Wee-haw! Today is an amazingly complicated day. Moon occults Venus meaning our two feminine energies join up in the heavens, uniting their energies. Unexpected emotions or love matters can surface. Plus Mercury and Pluto are completely stopped in the heavens ~ stopped planets call us to pay attention to them. We’ll be aware of the passage of time and the shifts of energy. Fall always feels like a new year to me ~ partly because it is my birthday but also because we start a new chapter at school or work after the summer of play. Today will feel like that energy is engaged. Mars works with our wounds today to permit us to connect with the on a different level or see them in a new way. When I read for people, I am always amazed at how the natal chart and the early child hood experiences prepare the client for the life and work the chart says they are here for. Today you will understand how your childhood and early experiences prepared you for the life you’ve created as well as the life your are going to create. Remember if it is in your heart, it is in your chart. Wash that sadness out ~ release it and understand the greater purpose. REFRAME the message the universe is trying to give to you. I read for a client last week who’d had a difficult time with her boss. Asked what she’d learned, she replied “Not to trust people.” Digging deeper with her, the soul lesson was to trust her own instincts. Reframe your recent hurts and experience to see what your soul is asking you to learn. If we had the cliff notes, we can pass the test. You get the cliff notes today. No getting sucked into the vacuum of despair. Adjust and see the bigger picture. It might be a bit astringent but write it or look at it like a screen play. What would the reviews say about your adventure? What would the audience members tell their friends when they described it the next day? My friend Marsha always says, “Anne you need to see ….” No more details. Just an affirmation to go. Once I see it, we’ll discuss it. Try this with the difficult story or situation in your life. Improv around it. When actors improv ~ they can never say NO. They have to say YES and move it to the next place, where ever that might be. Avoid NO (or other self defeating words like stupid, dumb, silly) ~ say YES I learned to trust myself!

Sun’s day, September 12 Moon in Scorpio has a lovely closing trine to Jupiter in Pisces. Mercury stations to go direct ~ stopping or slowing communication and transportation. Watch for important news. The principle of love cooperates with the principle of power ~ watch for powerful triangles of energy today. Shine the light on any discord and help it be seen for what it is. Focus on the places you can agree and unite with others. Partnerships feel a bit stressed as the details are not clear. On some level, you don’t have enough information to clear the issues up around the details. It will get clear with time ~ and Mercury and Pluto going direct. Focus on what you are trying to accomplish not the “how” ~ aim toward that to clear road block. Neptune dissolves roadblocks as well as possibly dissolving things preventing endings or dissolving things attempting to end things. It is an odd
energy. If you are supposed to go forward, it will release suddenly and poof you can go. If you are NOT supposed to go in a particular direction, the door will slam shut and be solidly bolted against progress. Either way ~ move along. The heavens have spoken. Cha- Cha-Cha. Partner with what appears. At least for the short term.

Hi mommy,
I’m not trying to scare you but I’m not sure how much of your media is really talking about this. There are some pretty scary things being said about the US economy at the moment and some pretty scary power plays being done by China, India and the Asiatic regions that can have huge, huge effects on the US economy. There are several highly regarded economists that are talking about the total collapse of the US dollar, which would initiate an Argentina type scenario. Now I know a lot of people you’ll hear say that the US is too big to fail but the international world is preparing for what they believe to be inevitable. (and some say Wall street is also by raising the stock market and getting their last minute pay outs) If you’ve noticed the gold, silver and platinum prices have sky rocketed. That’s because China and India have started buying up extremely large gold reserves in order to pull away from the USD being the standard trading rate. China was this biggest backer of the US treasury and as you know the US is in debt to China to the tune of about 1 trillion, Some say less but no one really knows. They were trying to keep the dollar high in order to support their export market in which the US is their largest buyer.
However, because of growth within China and from the developing nations, the US has gone down from 70% to 40% of its export market. Which means the US is no longer their biggest buyer and they no longer need to support it for that reason. The USD has not been backed in gold since Nixon in the 1970’s. Instead it’s been backed by the US government and it’s GDP. Well as you know the US doesn’t export much anymore. The biggest export has been inflation. So in short, the government keeps printing money, to stop the runaway train but the dollar is really not worth anything and the Debt is too high to manage. So that in short is why they’re saying it’s only a matter of time.
There’s a lot more to it but there’s something brewing…. Something that feels really big to me. I just have a really bad feeling lately. Even Tony Robbins put out a video warning Americans. He advises to be smart and put your money in commodities. He said the US needs to detox and it’s going to be a hard number of years.
What I want you to do is hold on to all of your jewelry. Don’t sell off the gold anymore…. If you have money in the bank for savings, buy physical gold and silver and put it in the deposit box. At least temporarily. Look it could be a lot of hype and it could all pass, but why not do some little things just in case. Worse case you have the investment of gold and silver, which you can sell and make a bigger profit than just bank interest rates.
If something does happen in the upcoming year and the dollar does collapse, it will cause hyper inflation and the money could be worth nothing. The gold and silver will be a legitimate currency you can trade. I know you’re overwhelmed with life at the moment but you need to protect yourself if something god forbid happens. The US believes nothing can ever happen to them. Which is the biggest problem with Americans. False sense of reality. 911 could never happen either and it did. Had they listened to intelligence they might have been prepared and avoided a tragedy. So don’t be stupid. I ‘m not saying be one of those people buying tickets to the mother ship that never comes but there’s a balance of doing some smart things just in case. I would tell you to get control over your 401k and put all of your money in foreign investment but I know you won’t. I’m sure I can convince you to buy some gold though. It’s jewelry.
