Weekly Weather September 3, 2007
Get ready for another rocking and roller coastering week on earth! We’ll barely have a second to get used to the feel of Saturn in Virgo, when Pluto and Venus both station to go direct! Plus we are in the midst of that volatile south node eclipse series six week cycle with that very difficult fixed cross forming between Uranus in Pisces, Mars in Gemini, and Jupiter and Pluto‘s midpoint acting as stressors on the Sun in Virgo. Do remember to breath!
Now, Saturn, Venus and Pluto are very distinct energies but because they are all dancing together, it can feel like a swirl of indistinguishable color, passion and intensity. The music is building. Remember from a few columns (July 2nd and 23rd) back that Venus is waltzing or tangoing between Saturn and Pluto? She is going back and forth, back and forth, but in the end she WILL go home with Saturn on October 14th? Saturn just got into Virgo, and he’s announced to Venus that he is tired and wants to go home. He has work tomorrow, his feet hurt from his rarely worn dress shoes and his head aches from all the loud music. However, Venus, still in Leo, is feeling entitled. It is a Party!! Venus in Leo is in the mood for the party to never end. Venus in Leo doesn’t want to leave yet and go home to her routine life yet. Venus says to Saturn, “Oh, okay, let me go get my stuff.” But Venus isn’t going to get her stuff. She wants one more dance! She wants to party! And, she wants to tango with Pluto again. Or something or someone similar to Pluto. It is too soon to go home! Venus wants more party! More fun. Venus is NOT in Virgo yet! Venus is still in Leo ~ she wants laughter, joy, flirts, creation, passion, love, not home to bed and being responsible Virgo!
Venus, Saturn and Pluto’s dance this week remind me of my friends Lisa and Bob. Bob is a great guy. He’s the quiet, silent type. Doesn’t need or want for much but Lisa, good food, often grown in his own garden and to putter in his garage or work on his land. Lisa, on the other hand, is a smoozer, talker, connector, networker, communicator and writer with a zillion friends, buds, folks, family, acquaintances and associates. She doesn’t meet someone to forget them! You are invited into her life as a friend. She is in contact with all of us, regularly. She’s the hub of our wheel of friends from college and probably twenty seven other wheels of people too. Lisa gets juiced and jazzed by being with people. Parties, which she used to be the last to leave when we were in college, are always more fun when she is there.
Bob announces he is tired and wants to leave. Lisa goes, “Okay, I’ll get my stuff and say good bye to people” She heads out for her last hurrah. As she says goodbye to us, she’ll suggest (IF we are people that Bob likes) that we go over and talk to Bob. Which we do. That lets HER talk to yet MORE people as he is “entertained”. Well, not really, he’s NOT entertained by us. He’s placated. He wants Lisa AND he wants to go home. His feet hurt. He is polite. He talks to us. He always asks “Did Lisa send you over?” He nods when we say yes. His eyes never leave Lisa as she moves through the room, sending more and more folks over to talk to him. She, too, never quite takes her eyes off Bob. Lisa watches for when Bob gets cranky. Well actually, she glances at him and turns away so she doesn’t feel guilty about staying on at the party and talking to whoever she is schmoozing with. When she finishes with a conversation, before she moves on to the next person, she glances at Bob. That visual temperature taking from across the room lets her know when it is Time To Go. There must be a subtle signal she sees. When she gets it, she’s crystal clear that it is time to roll. Then, she hustles over to Bob and says “Let’s go!” like HE was the one holding things up and keeping them at the party and she’s been waiting for him for SOOOO LONG! And thus it goes when you are married for years and years and years. You know your mate, love them and let them (or they take) that extra time to get their needs satisfied. It is a dance for two.
The planets are going to be doing that kind of dance this week through the middle of October when Venus finally goes home with Saturn and Lisa goes home with Bob. But first we have VENUS going direct. We have PLUTO going direct. We have the new moon eclipse at 18 Virgo! Venus JUST got told by Saturn it is time to go home. Saturn entered Virgo on Sunday. His feet hurt. Venus is going to fall into Pluto’s arms in a bit ~ she promised Pluto one more dance. She’s going to waltz around the room chatting, laughing, delaying, enjoying and postponing her inevitable departure into the world of Virgo‘s daily routines. Saturn is going to stand there and watch her flirt and connect with every one in the room as he slowly plods into Virgo land and thinks about his warm waiting bed. Be kind to Saturn. Indulge Venus in her desires to get the last bits out of the party before she goes. And watch out for Pluto.
Whenever planets station we have a build up of energy. Energy builds and builds and builds like pressurized areas in our beings. As the planets stop to go direct, we feel their stationary pivot in the heavens as a punctuation mark or exclamation point of energy in the house they are stopping in. This week Venus and Pluto stop in the sky. Planets are not supposed to stop ~ they are the ‘wandering stars’. We are going to notice our Venus areas, love, money, partners, relationships, connections, desires and what we value shift into a new focus as well as an entitlement adjustment in our Libra and Taurus ruled houses. We are going to notice our Pluto area, triangles, power, passion, and transformation shift into a new focus as well as an adjustment in our Scorpio ruled house.
We also have Saturn having entered Virgo a day ago so he’s a bit disoriented after two years of the sunshine of Leo ~ kind of like leaving a movie theater in the middle of the day. It was so dark, your eyes shrink, you and your consciousness were lost in a whole different world of a movie and then, plop, right back into the broad light of a working day as the world hustles and bustles around you, completely oblivious to your reentry issues. Lots of Virgo energy after the creativity of Leo. And a bit disorienting to old Saturn.
We also are in the middle period between two big old eclipses, in a waning or letting go phasal energy as the moon gets smaller and smaller, moving towards the new moon on September 11. These eclipses are ending things, the wheel of fate is spinning, and time is moving on in that inevitable way it has of moving on before you are quite ready for the next chapter.
Plus, we have that marvelous fixed mutable cross forming in the sky which echoes and describes all of the various sorts of havoc and craziness taking place in our world right now. Things come permanently to an end as the new chapter begins. If the eclipses, stations, and sign change of Saturn weren‘t enough, Mars squares Uranus and Mercury squares Pluto as the Sun opposes Uranus. In a regular week, any ONE of those three would be the focus of my column. Now they are a sentence! Oh and Mercury enters Libra. Yet another sentence ~ normally a paragraph or two. The band announces it is their last set. The clock ticks towards closing time. Our new chapter is about to begin. Folks are gathering their things to go. Pretty soon they are going to turn the lights on (Sept 11) and we’ll be back to real world. In the meantime, we’ll be adjusting to our new life structures over the next week. Remember, you are dancing into your new life! Your old Saturn in Leo life is ended! No more Saturn in Leo until 2034!!!
So, no last minute fights before the music ends. Remember to breath. No slugging back the rest of the drink, you h
ave to drive. Excess will be
corrected. Quick over to say so long to that friend you didn’t get a chance to talk with all night. Remember how you go into the bathroom right before you go home and notice how smudged, worn your make up is? It is that kind of energy. Run a comb through your hair. Put on a bit of lipstick. The party is over. Time to go home.
So get your Venus in Leo moving. She has a bit of time before she has to leave with Saturn. Grab those last few moments of joy, chat and laughter like my friend Lisa does. Be aware of staying too long, Saturn and Bob will get cranky. Feel the imminence of the end of the evening as the band plays that romantic song for all to embrace one more time before leaving the magic of the ball. Soon your slipper will turn from glass back to thread bare cotton slippers with coffee stains on them and your pumpkin coach will be a plain old pumpkin again.
So the question for you is: How do you like to leave a party? Are you always the last to go? Are you first out the door after a reasonable time? Do you go off to another party? All those emotions will be up for you too. The forward to bed or another party or the diner for scrambled eggs. The end of the months of work and planning to get to here, to the party. All of a sudden it is the last set of the band and it is time to go home. There is the sense that everyone else is off to their lives too. That the magic moment in time is finished. Yep, it is finished! Or almost finished. Venus reentering Virgo will take care of finishing it off. Almost time for “real” life to resume in all its piles of unwashed laundry, dirty dishes, hair washing, leg shaving, cat litter scooping and grocery shopping glory!
Monday, Mercury squares Pluto means fights or difficult news or separations. Mercury in Virgo wants a deal, he’s been waiting long enough. Pluto offers yet another excuse. Time for a show down. Or clear instructions about what you have to do or not do going forward. Make sure to follow the rules to the letter! Very important to follow the rules, be organized and clear. Mars has a square to Uranus so things can end under this as suddenly as they began. The point was to move you forward. Sun is square to Jupiter, bringing excess criticalness or over doing energy into the situation. Say farewell. The party is over. Your regular life awaits you. Bob tells Lisa it is time to go home.
Tuesday, Venus has an adjusting aspect to Uranus. Venus wants her freedom. Lisa says she’ll be right back, ~ she wants to say goodbye to people. Bob nods. The dance begins. Mercury has an aspect of brilliance to Jupiter. The band announces it is the last set. Now that you know things are shifting and ending, whom do you ABSOLUTELY have to talk to or connect with before you all disperse? Sun has an adjusting aspect with Chiron. Bob settles in to wait for Lisa to wrap it up and come back to him. Lisa scurries off. Quickly, quickly. Adjust, move, who is the most important to talk to? Venus is looking around the room.
Wednesday, Mercury enters Libra. Partner and talk. Focus on what is important, who is important. Send someone over to talk to Bob. Mercury has a few fast words with Saturn. Lisa glances at Bob to see if it is time to go yet. Hustle, hustle onto the next person. Saturn understands it is a partnership but his feet hurt. Saturn wants to go home. Venus in the form of a gift of additional time at the party comes from the love and partnership between those long standing relationships in our lives. Venus with Juno lets us wander a bit longer a field before Saturn says time to go home. But Saturn is shifting back and forth over there. His feet ache. Now his back is starting to hurt from standing all night. He rubs his forehead. And his waist band is tight in these pants. He probably should lose 10 pounds. He wants to get out of these dress clothes and into his bed.
Thursday, Venus connects with something or someone profound and important today. You and Venus don’t have time to handle it right this second, or have a long conversation about it (Bob is waiting, there are other people to see and talk to, the party is almost over etc, etc) but get their business card. Write a note on it about what to do with it. It is important for your future. Tell them you will be in touch shortly. Put the contact information in a safe place. DON’ T lose their card. MAKE sure to call after the 11th and the eclipse energy takes place. Things taking place today are VERY important to your future even if you are completely clueless about what you are looking at. Pay attention. Gather the contact information.
Friday, Pluto stations, going direct, on the Galactic Center. Expect profound information and seismic shocks all over the place. Pluto stations often correlate to earthquakes, volcanos, explosions, and major adjustments in power structures, governments, corporations, our forms as beings on earth. Wars begin. Wars end. You get the idea. At the same time Sun is contraparallel Uranus ~ an opposition by declination. Time to see something you had not seen before. If you don‘t get it now, you will in a few days when the Sun opposes Uranus. Listen and watch things ending, shifting and moving into their new forms. The band is finished with the next to last song. The lights are about to come on. The party is officially over.
Saturn’s day, Venus stations to go direct. Bob is looking irritated. Lisa is moving fast talking to people, not laughing as she doesn’t want to irritate Bob by looking like she is having too good a time. She‘s supposed to be saying good bye. Make it look like goodbyes. Throw in a few hugs. Look sad so Bob gives you more time. Juno enters Scorpio. ~ There are things we do for partners that we would NEVER do if a regular person or stranger asked us. Today is one of those days. But soon we have to move towards the door, meet up with Bob and go home.
Sunday, action, action, action. All of an ending sorts of action. Band finishes the final song. Thanks you very much for inviting them to play at this great party. The lights are turned on, and the darkness dispelled as Mars trines Neptune. Isn’t it amazing how things look so much better in candle light? End of the road for this party. Sun is opposite Uranus in the zodiac finalizing the reality of what you saw a few days ago. If you didn’t get it then, you will get it now. Mercury has a couple of hard aspect today ~ parties come to an end. That is the way it goes. Onto or back to your regular life.
Mundane: I won’t even attempt to predict this week’s world events except to say ugly, volatile and drunk on excess as Mars severs the dream of Uranus in Pisces by square. Sun, in the form of the Virgo cop waiting outside the parking lot for the drunks to get caught driving while under the influence, opposes Uranus in Pisces. Mercury has a square to Pluto so loud verbal or contractual excess in the parking lot will tip the officers in the waiting and watching patrol car about who should NOT be getting behind a wheel to drive safely home. Mercury in Libra is polite, diplomatic conversations with the authorities if they pull you over for questioning. And Venus, Saturn and Pluto all shifting ~ well that is a bar fight over a girl or some desired and obsessive object ~ watch for triangles and struggles between three areas of your, the world’s and our lives as Pluto and Saturn exert and state their preferences to Venus. Of course, we are all a bit drunk on excess, or Leo, or whatever. Reality arrives with Saturn in Virgo ~ reality in our finances, lives, habits, routines and rituals as well as recognizing it a is bit of a drive home to our warm bed. Virgo Saturn will do that version of reality to you.
Now, put that kind of end of the party energy with the waiting police officer across the street into all the forms and structures we have in our world. Do you have an idea how volatile and changeable a week it will be on planet earth? Stock markets, housing foreclosures, finances, power structures, governments, l
eaders, and higher authorities stepping into make sure thing are kept safe out there or finishing up their runs of excess Leo and being stopped. Change, change. Change. Hopefully, you didn’t have too much to drink and the officer will let your car drive right by as you go home to your life. If you’ve been too excessive, expect to be pulled over and checked out. Consider calling a taxi. If you are still holding a bottle of beer, it could be a problem. And what do you think that kind of energy will look or be like in our culture? Going to be a busy news week!
