Weekly Weather September 25, 2006
Well, here we are! Life begins a new, starting this week!! Didn’t you feel the energy shift? As George Elliot says, “It is never too late to be what you might have been.” It is never too early either! Get started working toward it! Now. Do your Saturn. Dance your Saturn. Sing your Saturn. Play your Saturn. Saturn, Saturn, Saturn.
Our week ahead features “Adjusting Energy”. The Universe is going to ask you to make adjustments. No arguing, no tantrums, Adjust. Adjust. Adjust. Figure out your greater goal(s), move toward those goals, welcome and accept in to your life what might not be EXACTLY what you want but is closer and closer to what you want. Continue to tweak your desires, follow your heart, and do your Saturn. That South Node in Virgo is having aspects about wanting perfection! I am telling you, there ain’t no such thing as “Perfect”. (That said by a Virgo Astrologer!) I am NOT asking you to “SETTLE”! I suggest you ask for what you want and keep moving toward what you want. There is a middle ground ~ a space between yes and no. You are getting closer. Stop with the black and white thinking; go for more shades of gray ~ notice the colorations of all those grays.
I read “Being Perfect”, a book by Anna Quindlen. I will quote her as she said, “Do your Saturn” in a lovely way! “Most of the time when we’re giving people advice, we suggest that they take up something or other: the challenge of the future, the work of the new century… I am more comfortable advising people to give up. Give up the nonsensical and punishing quest for perfection that dogs too many of us through too much of our lives. It is a quest that causes us to doubt and denigrate ourselves, our true selves, our quirks and foibles and great heroic leaps into the unknown.
“Much of what we are at five or six is what we wind up wishing we could be at fifty or sixty. And that’s bad enough. But this is worse. Someday, sometime, you will be sitting somewhere. A berm overlooking a pond in Vermont. The lip of the Grand Canyon at sunset. A seat on the subway. And something bad will have happened. You will have lost someone you loved, or failed at something which you badly wanted to succeed. And sitting there, you will fall into the center of yourself. You will look for some core to sustain you. And if you have been perfect all your life and have managed to meet all the expectations of your family, your friends, your community, your society, chances are excellent that there will be a black hole where that core ought to be. I don’t want anyone I know to take that terrible chance. And the only way to avoid it is to listen to that small voice inside you that tells you to make mischief, to have fun, to be contrarian, to go another way.”
That small voice inside you suggesting mischief, fun, or being contrary to the expectations of your family, friends, community and society so you go your own way ~ THAT is your Saturn. Your Saturn on a good day! Not Saturn on a bad day when you are anxious and fearful ~ the wonderful what you are here to do as you have fun building your life good day Saturn!
The beginning of the week is tough as Venus squares Pluto and moves through the last stressful degrees of her least favorite sign, Virgo and dives into the South Node of Virgo. Perfect, perfect, perfect is in the air. Ain’t nothing and no one perfect! Repeat that 10 times! Mars is inconjunct to Uranus suggesting a fall, break, slip or opportunity to make an adjustment in how you partner with what you say you want. It gets easier as the week goes along, with Venus setting off the eclipse degree at the end of the week saying, “Okay, begin, now!”
You know how an orchestra tunes up and it is all disharmonies as they tweak, tweet, blow in and adjust their instruments, practice the hard parts and review the upcoming program? That is the beginning of the week ahead. Then, on Wednesday, the conductor comes out, the musicians all quiet down. Thursday or Friday are the days when the Universe is pregnant, silent and waiting for the baton to fall. The audience is watching. The musicians are watching. The conductor is wiggling around. And you listen to a few hundred or thousand people wait and breath together. And, finally, on Saturday the musicians and conductor begin to play the music. So take your seat, read your program, listen to the orchestra tune up, and get ready for the show to begin.
Please know that the show about to begin is the next chapter of your life. If you are a frog, hop, hip, jump! If you are bird, fly high, glide and soar! If you are fish, swim, swish and dive! Do your Saturn! Or play your oboe, flute, piano, drum, cello, or ring your bell. Whatever. Start making a joyful noise with your Saturn. As hard as you can and as much as you can, do your Saturn. Affirm what and who you are ~ we are each, every last one of us, all Saturn’s children ~ here to do our karmic job and make earth a better place for our efforts. Practice your Saturn all week long.
Monday, Venus argues and fights with Pluto in a square as Vesta in charge of home and security dives into the obsessive South Node. The Libra Sun forms couple of cranky aspects with Neptune and Jupiter. Moon in Scorpio adds extra passion to the day. Mercury in late Libra cooperates and works with Saturn. So much activity in the heavens requests that you carefully and consciously recognize how you are part of creating and contributing to the process or situation that you are NOT so happily involved in! Hear the disharmony of the orchestra around you. Often when confronted with that old canard about “creating our own reality”, folks go “I didn’t create THAT!! They did it to me!” Today, you are probably going to create or get something you “didn’t want” but will get anyway. It will create a sense of “my life always…..” insert your regular complaint about a repetitive, no fun, situation in your life. Now, as Sun in Libra invites you look and see how you DID create it, support it, allow it stop. Take a moment and make a commitment with Libra Mercury to change YOUR response to the situation. Do NOT hit the tennis ball back over the net. For the game to continue, you have to hit the ball back. Stop. Put your racquet down. Walk off the court. Or try for an ace. Or a drop shot or something, anything different. No judgment of good, bad or indifferent. Just stop. Try something new. “It is never too late to be what you might have been.”
Tuesday, Mars has an adjustment aspect to Uranus in Pisces and a brilliant aspect to Pluto. Imagine you are working with a coach as the Universe offers advice. Today, change your behavior! Practice a new style. Try it! Change your swing. Adjust your serve. Pivot your grip. Try a double backhand. Start to run forward a bit sooner. Bend your knees a bit more. Apply the same type of behavior change to the situation from yesterday. A minor tweak is all it needs! “It is never too late to be what you might have been.”
Wednesday, practice, practice, and practice your new behavior skills. Tune your instrument. Get ready for the conductor to come out to start the new and next part of your life. My sister is a great golfer. She never takes a golf lesson before a tournament as it completely screws up her game. It takes time for any lesson to integrate into habit. It takes time for new techniques or skill tweaks to fall into their proper place as part of your body‘s ritual and routine. You will feel a bit clumsy at first. However, you are definitely noticing the new grip, bent knees or pivot has improved your game. All you needed was a minor tweak. In all honesty, you’ve been getting better and better as you practiced your new skill all last year (even if you didn‘t realize you were practicing!). The trines today and M
ercury’s sextile say y
ou have it. Watch how you get that ball over the net. Keep practicing your behavior changes. See ~ you thought it was going to be much harder than it was! You have the new habit now. You know how it is done. “It is never too late to be what you might have been.”
Thursday, Mercury has a brain fart for lack of a better word and loses his mind. Mercury forms a fast moving inconjunct with the node making you THINK you will never, ever be able to do it. Moon is in over the top Sagittarius being beaten up by depressed Jupiter in Scorpio squared by Saturn. The pressure is on. The sweat beads on your forehead. Yes, you will be able to do it. It is not about being perfect. It is about doing the best you can. Take a deep breath and remember “It is never too late to be what you might have been.”
Friday anticipation and anxiety build as Venus triggers the new moon eclipse point. The audience and musicians are hushed. The conductor lifts his arms. Imagine your new technique and practice it in your heart and head. Lots of anxious anticipation energy! Your arms are shaking! Not a lot you can do about the anxiety except perhaps lean a bit forward and shiver in anticipation. Pick up your instrument. Get ready to hop, fly or swim.Time to do your Saturn. Are you ready? “It is never too late to be what you might have been.”
Saturday, Venus enters Libra, triggers the music to swell and the next chapter of your life to begin. Mars joins with Vesta as Mercury sends you a new point of view. Moon in Capricorn offers a great deal of constructive work and activity today. “It is never too late to be what you might have been.” Make a list of your new dreams.
Sunday, as Mercury joins Chiron by parallel and the Moon in Aquarius offer a sense of detachment about the who, what and why of your future, start to move toward your new life as the music builds. Venus settles into Libra and promptly calms down all the Libra planets. Libra planets stop hate being ruled by Venus in Virgo and begin to cooperate with each other in partnership and harmony. Saturn is approaching his trine to Pluto and forming a tightening square to Jupiter. Keep working your Saturn muscles. It will send all sort of cooperative, transformative power to Pluto and merging, creative to Jupiter. Keep pumping your Saturn muscles. “It is never too late to be what you might have been.”
Mundane: Remember that “shocking” news promised by the eclipse? I thought Venezuela’s President’s remarks about President Bush being a devil and smelling the brimstone at the U N podium fell in that category! We watched all sorts of folks DEFEND our President and condemn Chavez. Hey, Bush may be a drunk, crazy, egotistical, megalomaniac devil cowboy but he is OUR drunk, crazy, egotistical, megalomaniac devil cowboy! Unnoticed and unremarked on, or perhaps not shown much on USA TV, were ALL the OTHER 190 leaders and diplomats laughing hysterically, cheering and applauding Mr. Chavez’s remarks. They had to turn down the mikes on the floor of the UN, as the noise was so loud and sustained! People, please, the entire world knows what is going on here!
Two fun UN facts to amaze your friends with: The UN is built on the site of a huge former slaughterhouse in New York City. Great for karmically working with preventing the slaughter of more beings on earth! Definitely an uphill climb! The UN is not IN the United States ~ it is on International Land ~ its very own country! So, for all the uninformed citizens who said, “How dare he come to OUR country and say that about OUR President!” please, he did not come here! He went to the UN.
It looks like the Geneva conventions are going to fall victim to the GOP controlled government as the Senators cave to let the President determine who can be tortured and what torture is. So much for our rule of law and moral authority in the world. We are defending a President’s sadistic behavior beyond the rule of law. Fabulous! And our progressed USA Mars is retrograde for the next 80 years! Hard to imagine that 230 years of our firmest foundations are crumbling and collapsing right before us! Darn that progressed Mars in Libra ~ reversing the rule of law and so quickly too! Is it time to move? Mars rules our fourth house of the structures and foundation of our society and the 12th house of our country‘s undoing and ruin. Our beliefs fall to be eclipsed by a Virgo Venus Libra technicality.
On the financial front, a major hedge fund collapsed on the eclipse. It lost half its value, only a few billion, by betting, incorrectly, on the harshness of the hurricane season. The eclipse had a lovely trine to the USA Pluto in Capricorn in the second house. Promising outsized returns (15 to 30%) and affording luxurious lifestyles to their operators, hedge funds are a rapidly growing and VERY unregulated part of our financial markets. Increasingly, pension funds (yep, that very same money you are planning on for your retirement) are investing in hedge funds. It is gambling, people! One bet lost half the value of a Five Billion dollar hedge fund!?! Margin calls caused the market collapse in 1929 and triggered the Great Depression. Hedge Funds will be the cause of the next enormous market collapse and our next Great Depression. In 1923, there was a tsunami that killed 190,000 people in Japan and in December 2004, there was a tsunami that killed 200,000 people in Indonesia. So, by that reckoning, late 2009-2010 is when the hedge funds will collapse. (We are watching Uranus and Pluto) Get rid of your debts and pay off your house or land mortgage or refinance it with fixed interest rate loans as soon as you can!
