Weekly Weather December 4, 2006

Last week was a bit difficult as Mars squared Saturn. You might have gotten PART of what you wanted but you didn’t get ALL of what you wanted. You were hoping for romance instead you talked about marital arts. You wanted a promotion but got new work, oodles of responsibilities and no money instead. Your financing is coming through but now the movie is going to shoot in China to save costs. You get the idea.

Mars square Saturn brought Part ONE of the form into place. Part Two and the balance are still a bit out of reach ~ beyond your grasp dangling like a juicy bundle of grapes sparkling in the sunshine. Keep on focusing on where you are going and what you’d like to create. The list. The affirmations. The steady plunk, plunk, plunk of crossing tasks off your to do list. The planets are continuing to shift and move forward, with a few more changing signs in the week ahead. Saturn slows to station and go retrograde until mid-April. Saturn is going to move back and form two more very profound oppositions with Neptune ~ shifting and dissolving the various structures in your life. As Saturn opposes Neptune at the end of February and June next year, the sparkling grapes will draw closer or you’ll find a stick or they will ripen and fall to the ground so you can eat them or make them into wine. Remember, these structural changes take time. Don’t give up hope! Just keep your focus crystal clear on doing what you love. Keep doing your Saturn.

Our week ahead has a full moon in Gemini/Sagittarius. Read my full moon column on this site for more information on how to work with the moon’s energy. It is a moon designed for making choices and deliberately strategizing what you’d like. Additionally, we find Mars getting out of Scorpio and into the free wheeling spirited energy of Mars in Sagittarius. Now Mars likes Scorpio where he can be stealthy, subterranean or indirect in getting what he wants. As Mars moves into Sagittarius, he gets much more careless with his words and actions. Yet Mars will be speaking and acting the truth~ even if you don’t much like what he says or does.

Mars in Sagittarius shouts at the least provocation ~ so be conscious and cautious ~ as my friend Dylan says, “Don’t go poking at the crocodile!” when you are near folks who look cranky or irritable. If someone says something particularly snarky to you this week, they mean it. Ignore it. Or listen to them. They’ve been thinking it for a long time and never quite had the courage to say it until now. However, all tempers are at the end of their ropes with nerves frayed and rather jangled. Mars in Sagittarius is literally danger from large animals so expect headline news of animal attacks. One time, when I was at a backyard college graduation party (Sagittarius), the family’s dog bit me. It was a Mars in Sagittarius aspect to my Sun. I’d brought a few of those disgusting, smelly dried cow’s ears for the host’s two dogs. It was danger from large animals ~ as one dog bit me to get the cow’s ears!

Additionally, we have Venus joining with Pluto midweek to start a new YEAR long cycle around actualizing our passions and desires. Venus is in Sagittarius, which she LOVES, loves, LOVES even if it can lead to over doing, over spending, over eating and credit card debt! Right now, Venus is in a balsamic approach to Pluto, ending a difficult year long cycle around thwarted passions, desires and pleasures. LAST YEAR, when she joined with Pluto, Jupiter, their ruler, was in Scorpio. Mars, Scorpio’s co-ruler was retrograde in his least favorite sign of Taurus. Jupiter in Scorpio was entering into a year of arguing with Mars, Saturn, and Neptune. Any way you looked at it, Venus wasn’t too thrilled about that cycle’s ingress chart! As a result, Venus, for most of last year, was a cranky, irritable and none too happy gal. Plus, Jupiter was in a 12th house approach to his own rulership so he was all about endings, releasing, burying, transforming, shredding and finishing up things started back in 1994. He didn’t send much effort to starting new stuff.

Now, watch out world here she comes ~ as Venus enters a fabulous, glittery, sparkly, new cycle with a glorious diamond tiara and bunch of roses in her arms! The Venus/Pluto cycle ingress chart for THIS YEAR finds Jupiter, her happy, jolly ruler quite fat and satisfied in his own rulership of Sagittarius. Jupiter is slapping his hands on his thighs and ready to start a new 12 year cycle. Mars, quite sated from his underworld journey in the Scorpionic depths and despair is ready to party hearty, feels quite frisky and is approaching a conjunction to Jupiter in Sagittarius. Mars joined to Jupiter will expand the overdoing energy of Jupiter! Mercury is in the exceptionally strategic degree of 29 Scorpio, implying all that knowledge you struggled to absorb last year is finally integrating and settling into your being. Our difficult fixed t-square is officially done, finished, and banished to various corners of the heavens now that Jupiter is out of Scorpio. It looks like the only difficulty Venus will have during the year ahead is figuring out how to do all the things she wants to do! She’s got a great trine to Saturn retrograde in Leo so Venus might have a bit to finish up between now and when Saturn goes direct but after that ~ watch our world here she comes!

Last, Mercury enters Sagittarius late in the week and rapidly catches up to Mars and Jupiter. Again, Mercury’s words can be blunt when he finds himself in mouthy Saggy. It is a bit more energy around the truth hurts or you simply can’t take the situation a second more and you HAVE to say something.

Now, as you can see, the news is, for the most part good, especially if you’ve been doing your work and doing your Saturn. The overdoing part for many of us will be the situations where we’ve kept our mouths shut and not said what we really thought. Tact and diplomacy will be in short supply in the weeks ahead.

There is a minor caution ~ primarily offered to those who are NOT doing their Saturn or to those of us who love folks who are not doing their Saturn. The whoosh energy of the t-square is going to be replaced by the overdoing energy of the Jupiter and Mars in Sag. Consequently, out of control behavior is going to be MORE out of control. If a person you know is having an obsessive or addictive issue with a person, drug or drink, AND THEY HAVEN’T been being proactive and working to resolve it, expect them to have a bit of a shock towards the end of the week or beginning of next. DWI, get fired, get dumped etc.

For those of us who have been being proactive and doing our Saturn, the Uranus energy will appear more as a break through or change for the better energy. Uranus in Pisces will start to receive closing square energy from Jupiter, Mars and Mercury. The Universe has been asking us to change in the fixed areas of our lives over the last year or so. Now, the ante is going to go up. If you’ve been doing your Saturn, your work will pay off. If you haven’t been doing your Saturn, as my friend Elizabeth says, “Saturn is going to be in your face, shouting change!!” There is still time to make all needed adjustments. Be brave. Go for and toward your love and dreams. Make sure to do your Saturn if you get nervous.

Monday, the full moon happens as Vesta enters Scorpio, Mercury squares Saturn; Venus squares the nodes, promising movement forward on project begun 18 months ago. Read my full moon column on the site for more information about how to play your cards on the Gemini Sagittarius full moon. Watch for a signal from Saturn. He’s going to pull his ear, or say something to Mercury to tell you what to do and how to proceed. If you’ve been doing your Saturn, it will be a green light. If you’ve been avoiding doing your Saturn, it will be loud red light or car alarm or f
ire siren. Ignore it at your
own peril. Saturn will let you know what to do.

Tuesday, Saturn stations. He’s going to go retrograde for the next few months, until mid-April 2007. Expect the story from the last weeks of the summer of 2006 to start to reactivate in your consciousness. Saturn is going to back up to the degree he was at last Labor Day weekend, bringing up information and issues from that time for you to resolve or revisit. Mars enters Sagittarius today so people are not going to be overly polite and will blurt out what they are really thinking. They may apologize for it ~ but they DID think it! They do mean it! To their mind, it is true! Might not be true for YOU but for THEM it is true. All part of the mirror game of getting clear on our own stuff, their stuff and the world‘s stuff. It is a great day for hearing projection ~ that lovely phenomenon when the other guy accuses you of doing THEIR stuff to annoy them.

Wednesday for the most part is quiet. No aspects in the sky as the moon rolls through the early degrees of Cancer. If you find yourself obsessing, there is NOT a darn thing you can do about it. And that is the thing you need to change over the next few months. It is about YOU not them! They don’t need to change, (or won’t change or don‘t want to change). You are where the change is needed. Do your Saturn. Reread Tuesday.

Thursday, the moon is void all day long. Venus makes her trine to Saturn and her conjunction to Pluto starting a new cycle of figuring out how to get what you want. As Saturn is retrograde and the moon is void of course, you are NOT going to necessarily see it create in FORM until Saturn goes direct in mid-April and retrines old Pluto next July. However, the seedlings ARE planted and in place for a jolly good cycle!

Friday, Mercury enters Sagittarius as the Moon enters Leo and trines Mercury, Mars and Jupiter. It is your life. It is about what you want to do with your life. You only go around once. Make the most of your life. Let go of your fear. Go for your dreams, even if they scare you sometimes. Shoot for the moon ~ you will hit the stars! Stop obsessing about Tuesday and Wednesday. You can’t do a darn thing about it any how! Live your own life.

Saturday has a bustle, busy, interesting kind of energy. Lots of cranky, stressful energy but a few lovely aspects too. Mercury joins with Mars so there can be harsh words spoken or feelings hurt by careless words. It is a good day to learn all sorts of things. Add extra time to your schedule for “unanticipated delays” ~ traffic will be snarled.

Sunday has a few gifts from Venus as she aspects Juno and Uranus. Expect partnerships to create money for you or love interests to pay off or a lovely exciting and blessed creative partnership to be suggested. Say YES even if you aren’t sure HOW you will fit it into your life. Mercury joins Jupiter and so you might have to let go of something that no longer serves you to make room for the next chapter of your life. Do so with hope and a clear heart!
