This is similar to the exercise we did in September 2012 to map Saturn in Scorpio. Back then, we watched Mars roll through Scorpio to anticipate Saturn’s upcoming journey. Now, as is natural with Jupiter’s expansive energy, we have three, count them, THREE planets to watch to see how things are going to move in our world once Saturn starts making the changes in our life.
Our week ahead gets off to a fast start. The Moon has harsh closing aspects most of the week so emotionally, we’ll be in the mood to separate or take our own path. Best to work on your own projects and move them along. Trust that the solitude you crave in the crazy build up to the holidays is a healthy part of the journey. Under-book your calendar this week to accommodate the unexpected changes that will arrive in your life from the aspects to Pluto and Uranus.
Sun and Mercury echo each other a day apart (and Venus’ journey from last week) as they squabble with Pluto and his power struggles or permanent changes, cooperate in change and freedom with Uranus and feel wounded on a deep level from Chiron.
How to work with it? Just know that the HUGE evolutionary changes taking place in society sometimes land a bit hard on the heart. Self care. Nurture. By Sunday you will feel better.
Venus in Sagittarius goes out of bounds on Tuesday December 2 until December 25, 2014. Venus out of bounds in Sagittarius is an overdoing energy ~ especially when she’s answering to Jupiter in overdoing Leo. Expect people and financial matters to be a bit wild and out of control in matters of love, money, passions and desires most of the holiday season. Make a budget and KNOW you won’t be sticking to it…
How to work with her? Already an overdoing energy when in Sagittarius, Venus without limits or restrictions from the Sun tends to rock our world. Of course she IS good for passion, relationships, and those once in a lifetime ah-ha moments of lightening striking a bolt into your heart chakra. So go to ALL the parties in your best, prettiest, or sexiest outfit and make sure to wink at that sparkly eyed person sipping their egg nog in the corner. Venus aspects the Nodes of Destiny and Jupiter this week so watch who you meet on Monday and Thursday especially. NO UNATTENDED CANDLES or FIRE PLACE ASHES! Fire energy is very out of control!
Mars works with Saturn to finalize a deal and enters Aquarius on Thursday December 4 until January 12, 2015. Still answering to Saturn, he’s also responding to Uranus in Aries. Anger can flare out of no-where. Mars in Aquarius tends to be disruptive and disturbs the status quo. His quintile to Uranus at the end of the week brings an unusual offer which you need to consider. Is it part of what you want to do going forward?
How to work with Mars in Capricorn until Thursday night ~ plow through your to-do list. You have amazing energy to get things done. How to work with Mars in Aquarius after Thursday night ~ give him choices. No ultimatums. Ultimatums make Mars in Aquarius C R A z Y!!! Let him choose and think it is HIS idea!
Vesta enters Capricorn on December 3, Wednesday until January 28, 2015 ~ eliminate the excess from your life and your various places of residence or work. Clear out that storage unit. Working with Vesta is easy ~ this is a great energy for clearing clutter and simplifying. Focus on what is important, what brings you joy and get the rest of it out of your life. Good will. Garbage bags. Recycle. Donate. Free-cycle. Homestead or grubstake someone just starting a new chapter who needs your stuff. My friend Mary Jayne used this energy when her mom moved into assisted living. She offered the house furnishings and replenished a family’s entire home. They had lost everything in a fire. Her mother’s furniture became the start of their new life. Clear your space for the new adventures arriving in Sagittarius next year. If you don’t love it, move it OUT of your space. OUT!
Mercury goes out of bounds on Sunday December 7 until January 1, 2015. Complete frankness and outspoken energy enters our world. Liars and cheats get caught, outed and face the consequences ~ especially in the court of public opinion. How to work with Mercury when he’s in his detriment and out of bounds? Speak your truth and only tell your truth! If you are walking on a slippery slope of truthiness ~ be prepared to start slipping down it! If someone looks shocked at what you say, circle back and ask them what they heard… expect more misinterpretation than a mercury retrograde!
Jupiter is stationing to go retrograde until April 7, 2015. He actually stops NEXT Monday, December 8, but we FEEL him starting to stop as of Wednesday, December 3. So the pressure builds. It is a GOOD pressure but a pressure none-the-less. Jupiter’s stopping AMPLIFIES all the planets in Sagittarius, Mercury and Venus out of bounds, and the Full Moon chart this weekend. Just a lot of overdoing energy ~ over emotional, over the top, over excited, over compensating ~ over, over, over! Watch for out of control FIRE ENERGY ~ don’t leave candles or fires unattended!

The Full moon on Saturday December 6, 2014 is at 14: 18 Sagittarius and Gemini. The earlier Moons were New Moon on June 8, 2014 at 18 Gemini and Opening quarter on March 8, 2014 with Pisces Sun and closing quarter September 5, 2015 with Virgo Sun. Look back at the earlier Moons to see the pattern ripening before you now.
Venus in Sagittarius is out of bounds in the Full Moon chart, ruling the Midheaven and Node of Destiny as well as the Fifth and Sixth houses. This is a Full Moon to make progress on!! Progress with a capital P!! Push the energy as much as you can. Saturn is in a weak position, with mostly separating aspects and tucked away in the 12th house (for east coast folks) so he’s not causing many problems, preoccupied as he is with wrapping up his journey in Scorpio. He is the in the house of karma wrapping up and being put away for 29 years. Lots of beginning and visionary energy in this lunation with the emphasis on Fire and Air.
The chart is highly packed with action taking planets in cardinal houses 1, 4 and the Node of Fate in 10. The Lunation lays across the horizon so as the Sagittarius Sun is rising, the Gemini Full Moon is setting in the west. We are laying the emotional journey of the last few years to rest as the Moon sets. We have the opportunity to tell the story in a new way. We are inaugurating the New journey of Saturn in Sagittarius.
There are oodles of Grand Trines in Fire with the Sagittarius planets Mercury, Sun, Ceres, Venus and the Ascendant trine to Jupiter slowing to a station in Leo with Juno and trine to Uranus, South Node, IC and Eris in Aries. The Grand Fire Trines land in the transitional place between the water and fire houses ~ we are literally crawling out of the swampy waters of Scorpio and starting to get warm by the fires on the banks of the swamp. Leo and Aries illuminate the Cancer and Scorpio houses while Sagittarius takes the lead on the Ascendant. Once you’ve gone through the death and ending energy of Scorpio, there is a rebirth of sorts. The resurrection energy of dawn. Sunrise. The calm quiet after the storm has passed. The Morning after so to speak.

Commentary: ‘Two Dutch Children Talking and Studying Their Lessons Together’ represents the need for clarity and for those of like mind to share and communicate spontaneous and creative ideas. The ‘Two Dutch Children’ are discussing and sharing their thoughts, ideas and feelings about ‘Their Lessons’. Commentary: ‘The Ground Hog Looking For its Shadow on Ground Hog Day’, by its reactions and movements, provides clues as to whether winter would continue or spring would come with its warmth and rewards. As ‘Ground Hog Day’ is in February in the northern hemisphere, it symbolizes a time of cold, snow and the stiff breezes of winter. Although more fable than real, the ‘Ground Hog’ is said to be able to sense whether there’s a change in the air. If he feels spring approaching, he gives a sign so others may know and anticipate it themselves. Moon day Monday November 24, 2014 – Moon in Sadge, void in the morning, entering Capricorn at 11:31 am EST. Closing aspect for Cap Moon is sextile to Mercury. Great day to pitch ideas, sign contracts, and form strategic alliances. You can meet somebody important today, for your work or your life’s karma. The night before was full of interesting dreams. Tonight as the Sun parallels Pluto around 5:30 pm EST, you could have had a powerful experience of a triangular nature. A bit of envy happens shortly thereafter that should inspire you to move forward and adjust some of the commitments you’ve made so they more accurately reflect your desires.
Mars’s day Tuesday November 25, 2014 – Moon is in Capricorn with a productive closing aspect of a sextile to Mercury. Lots of dreams last night, wakening you with a start in the morning. As befits the busiest travel day of the year, the heavens are chock full of energy. Do expect delays during the four-hour period when the Moon is void (adjusted for your time zone). Friday Venus’s Day November 28, 2014 – Moon in Aquarius goes void at 12:14pm EST with a closing square to Saturn and is void all afternoon, entering Pisces at 5:03pm EST. The Pisces Moon has a lovely closing aspect of a trine to Saturn. Next three days are productive, smoothly flowing, and gracious. Midday Chiron squares Ceres, suggesting that there’s some principle around caretaking or food that is wounding right now and should probably be replaced with something else. Changing traditions can be hard, but right now is a good time to do it. A volatile argument midday. With the void Moon, whatever you buy this black Friday isn’t going to fit or match and will have to be returned later.
Saturn’s Day Saturday November 29, 2014 –Moon in Pisces with a lovely closing aspect of a trine to Saturn making today and tomorrow very productive in terms of getting tasks accomplished and working with the flow of the universe. Mercury’s parallel to Pluto brings powerful information and dreams to your attention, inviting you to connect and proceed. Pallas Athena aspects the Nodes of Destiny making some important choices about eliminating behaviors that are not supportive of her or you. Great time to release old patterns and not have them return again. In the morning, Venus trines Juno, inviting you to partner and to try new things in ways you hadn’t thought of before. This could be a love opportunity walking through the door or a money or partnership opportunity. Mercury aspects the Nodes tonight, inviting you to try a new way of connecting with people and a new way of seeing things.
Sun’s day Sunday November 30, 2014 – Moon in Pisces goes void at 3:47pm EST and is void in the afternoon, entering Aries at 8:14 pm EST with a closing aspect of a square to Mars. Today the energy is very productive for getting things accomplished and out the door, with Moon’s sextile to Mars and trine to Saturn, encouraging you to work hard. Mercury’s square to Neptune causes all sorts of confusion, possibly angry feelings. Double-check: you probably didn’t hear what they said clearly, or they didn’t hear what you said clearly, and someone went off in a tizzy for no good reason. Mars works productively with Saturn so you can power through your to-do list today. Great energy for letting old things go and leave your life. Pallas struggles with old patterns that seem impossible to change ~ they only are impossible to change if you give them the energy to BE impossible. In the immediate MOMENT, choose differently. Then as each moment presents itself, continue to CHOOSE again differently. Back when I was quitting smoking, the American Cancer Society Program I attended encouraged us to NOT think that we were quitting FOREVER (we were, after all, giving up something we loved). Think for THIS moment, I won’t smoke. At this choice point, I will choose differently. All habits that we want to extinguish or change can be tackled with this one moment at a time approach. So take it today. For THIS MOMENT I am not going to respond in my usual way. Once you redirect the energy, you’ll find there is an enormous welling up of energy mid-day. You’ll have a sense of relief later tonight as you realize you did make a change. And you can continue to make changes. A day of overdoing with hard ending energy ~ so use it to let go of stuff you don’t want any more. Release, release, release. Mercury links up with Mars and encourages some tough talking to energy. So much fire and passion flying around. Take time to plan out how you are going to take care of yourself this week as there won’t be much extra time. Mercury in Sagittarius is quite wild and out of control today…expect unusual communications ~ including some that seem a bit envious. Venus out of bounds encourages over doing and over spending so think twice before laying that credit card down. Do you REALLY need it or are you feeling stressed and spending? Hard news but not unexpected news of an ending today as Mars trines Admetos mid-day. Moon productively works with Venus and Jupiter ~ forming a grand trine in Fire and expanding emotional reactions and ideas rapidly. Sun links up with Mercury by declination so people feel they are correct and have trouble listening to other people’s ideas. Good to isolate and get some productive work done while alone. One is the loneliest number but right now it FEELS right to be one.
Wednesday Mercury’s day December 3, 2014 – Moon enters Taurus at 00:15:57 am EST and goes void opposite Saturn. Closing aspect encourages separation of an emotional nature from things that have provided structure for you. The next two days represent things leaving for the next 29 years of your life. BIG separating energy. Endings are around us. Saturn has a sesquiquadrate to Uranus today so structures that have been in place for many years collapse seemingly out of nowhere. Actually it’s been ready to happen for a while, it’s just time for it to go. In our external world, this is often a bridge or building or other structure collapsing and giving way. Vesta enters Capricorn in a very grounding, clearing-out-space, through the end of January where she’s asking you to clear out and release things you don’t love either in your body or home or office. She’s in the sign of the temple that you want to worship. Make the spaces in your life be like temples that support your soul. Enormous anger energy today with Mars in Capricorn opposite Vulcanus. Expect a whoosh of passion, that is separating and says “I don’t want to do this anymore.” Ceres’ semisquare to Apollon says you can’t go home again. And Vesta’s sextile to Apollon says it’s time for you to make your own home. There can be lots of tears today as well as creative breakthroughs and power struggles.
Jupiter’s Day Thursday December 4, 2014 – Moon is in Taurus and goes void opposite Saturn. Another day of separating, releasing, and ending, as Saturn is traveling through this patch of sky for once in 29 years, and the Moon opposes him, inviting us to release things that no longer nurture us. There’s a bout of envy in the morning as Venus trines Eris. Use the envy or jealousy to fuel your forward motion. Recognize it for what it is instead of bowing to it or hiding from it. Sun’s semisextile to Pluto brings up a bit of a blind spot around power dynamics. You realize that he isn’t the wizard, just the man behind the curtain. Part of Saturn in Scorpio’s journey is to encourage us to see reality with new eyes and the wisdom of psychological understanding. Expect that today. Venus’s trine to Jupiter midday is exuberant, exciting, and fun. Companioned with the Sun’s trine to Uranus she forms a creative energetic Fire trine in the sky right now. The energy for the next three days is back and forth between ideas and reframing and visioning what you desire and want as the two feminine principles argue in the sky. It’s a healthy argument. What you want isn’t what you’re going to get. It’s similar to trying something on in a store, loving it, and buying it three in different colors then getting it home and realizing that one of the ones you didn’t try on is mislabeled – necessitating giving it away or returning it to the store or losing some weight or getting it altered. Adjustments are needed. As Linda says in Death of a Salesman, “Attention must be paid.” Pay attention for the next few days. It’s important to reframe the new information into new ways of seeing it. Mercury’s trine to Uranus facilitates this process of reframing and seeing things in new ways. Venus joins Cupido creating a new group or new energy that is very helpful and positive and allows healing to continue in areas you didn’t realize were wounded. A great day for healing work or reframing expectations. Mercury’s semisextile to Pluto suggests you get some surprising information around a power dynamic you hadn’t realized was in place, while Mars’s quintile to Uranus invites new creative energies to try a new expression.
Saturn’s Day Saturday December 6, 2014 – Moon is in Gemini and goes void Opposite Venus. Full Moon at 7:27 am EST. The Full Moon today takes us back to June of 2013 when new ideas were planted. Now we’re seeing the results of those ideas. It’s a Moon that invites us to look again at the stories we tell ourselves and how they influence or affect our partnerships. Mercury’s square to Chiron in the morning reminds us of the wounding quality of words. While later in the day Mercury’s aspect to Hygeia tells us how we can heal ourselves by reframing or retelling our stories with a different focus or outcome. As all these planets enters Sagittarius . . . Sagittarius works best when he’s talking to you about the potential or dream or story, so take time to explore how the stories you tell yourself about your life help or hinder you. It is time for a new story that reflects all of who you are and includes all the changes you’ve made in your life until now. If you were to describe yourself to someone who didn’t know you, how would you tell your story now? (Leave out the bad parts!) Ideas become our reality. Mercury’s sesquiquadrate to Vulcanus invites us to expand our vision to incorporate the darker energies as forces that allowed us to grow the way we have. Mars’s semisquare to Ceres tonight says, “No, you can’t go home – but would you want to go back there anyway?” Things in the past are best left in the past.
Sun’s day Sunday December 7, 2014 – Moon goes void opposite Venus at 04:52:38 am EST. Moon is void Sunday morning. Moon enters Cancer at 12:35:21 pm EST. Moon in Cancer goes void trine to Saturn in Scorpio. The energy of Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday is incredibly productive. Emotionally process, handle, and release changes. Rocket through your to-do list these next three days as Jupiter stations and the Moon in its rulership is incredibly supportive of your getting what you want based on all the work you’ve done the last two and a half years. Make an enormous to-do list and rocket through it the next three days. Juno’s trine to Ceres encourages creative partnerships while Saturn’s opposition to Admetos ends a situation forever. Yes, forever. You really are done with it and that’s a good thing. Mercury goes out of bounds today until January 1, 2015. He’s in his detriment but answering to Jupiter stationing in Leo. A profound pulse of energy around communicating directly, frankly, and straightforwardly but also really focusing on a very scattered but driven pile of things to get accomplished. We like him out of bounds but we do have enormous realizations when he’s out of bounds in Sadge. Get a good night’s sleep because the first two days of next week will be rocking.
