Full moon Scorpio Sun and Taurus Moon at 2:23

October 26, 2007

0:51 am EDT

The full moon takes place almost an hour after midnight for the east coast of the United States. The Taurus moon is directly overhead, lighting our dreams with a future vision of where we are going.

Venus, the ruler of that full Moon in Taurus, is in Virgo, having just finished a union with Saturn and diving into the South Node of Karma. While Venus doesn’t like being in Virgo much, her energy is getting magnified to see the problems in a clear and balanced manner with Mercury retrograde in Libra. Mercury and Venus are in mutual reception meaning they have an extra special communication channel set up between them. It also means you can move them back and forth between locations ~ kind a swap energy system that the universe sets up ~ so Venus is in Libra while Mercury is in Virgo. Swapped Mercury in Virgo just dipped into the South Node and joined with Saturn. The Lunation Mercury has a sextile aspect to Pluto so Swapped Venus has a sextile aspect to Pluto. It is as if the planets put on the other planet’s costumes and roles to see the world from their perspective. I also believe it softens up the Venus in her fall in Virgo as she is a bit happier in creating beauty and balance (not so many problems to fix ~ or at least she knows what to do to fix them) and it makes Mercury more precise and articulate in his methods of communicating and achieving balance and beauty while in Libra.

Saturn just finished dipping his energy into the South Node of Karma. The events of the past few weeks should be clear to you. Things are crystallized and ready for the next phase. You may not know exactly where you are going but you are not going back to the old ways or former life. Its ended and done on some level.

The chart is a splash chart so energy is flying all over the place. The energy is not focused on one point or process, it is exploratory in nature and ready to step out into the bigger world. Remember we are finishing up a 13 year cycle of Jupiter joined to Pluto in late Scorpio, getting ready for a new one to start in December. So the flying around mutable form of the energy supports that clean up, pick up, clear out, get ready, time to go to the next place version of the energy.

We are also getting ready to enter Pluto in Capricorn for the first time since November of 1762. Pluto has a 248 year cycle so no human alive on Planet Earth has experienced this energy. Saturn in Virgo is in charge of that Pluto in Capricorn for the first couple of years as we collectively absorb and start to experience Pluto’s cardinal earth energy.

Essentially, the ending energy of a Scorpio Sun and Full moon in Taurus reminds us that in every ending is a new beginning. While the endings are certainly taking place around us, the beginnings are seeded in them. Pretend you are a doula or midwife and help the process of departing and beginning a new take place. There are many areas in your life where you can be a doula or midwife to facilitate the energies transformation. Focus on those to help the world move forward ~ or at least YOUR world moves forward.

Mars in Cancer is still out of bounds and will be for the bulk of his upcoming retrograde journey until April 2008. Mars freed from his normal restraints of following the path of the Sun offers us each a unique opportunity to step out side of ourselves to take actions freely or bravely without needlessly worrying or fretting about the consequences. Mars in Cancer seeks to be free through the pursuit of his security ~ but when freed from bondage, either gets MORE security conscious or LESS security conscious than “what is normal”. On this full moon, the Sun in Scorpio is answering to Mars in Cancer and co-ruler of Pluto in Sagittarius. I encourage you to take the risk to move toward the life you’d like.

Don’t be fearful. If something is calling to you, it is probably your path (yes, it might be your path even if it scares you a bit on those dark days when you worry what will become of you). Go look at your fears. Check them out. See if you want to include the fears as a motivator for your life, in some form, going forward. Perhaps try a version of life that encompasses the fear but lives bravely none the less ~ you know, that old saying of “Feel the FEAR and do it anyway!”

Out of Bounds also means Mars can be a bit over the top when you encounter it in your daily life. We are ALL going to be feeling the fear of loss of security with Mars in Cancer. It will be in our culture, in the news, and burbling around the edges of our lives. Folks who are not aware or who don’t seek to live consciously as they inevitably evolve through their lives will definitely be feeling the fear even more. All of us may very well may be acting from the “lower” forms of the detrimental placement of Mars in Cancer. Mars gets very nervous when he’s in Cancer.

Don’t fall for those FEAR tricks of Mars in Cancer. Hold your head and heart in the light. Understand that fear is how you are controlled. If you are afraid, your adrenals pump fear hormones through your body. You want to run. You want to quit. You want to stop trying.

Well, if you don’t try, you will lose. If you do try, you might lose. But at least you can say you tried. Fear is part and parcel of what is in the air right now. Fear controls us. Don’t be afraid. Remember the kind of Mars energy you are working with ~ shy, skitter, cranky, crabby or fierce mother bear protecting her cub or home sick seeking security energy. Take any fearful feelings down to their source ~ that will help you get clear on what you are supposed to be releasing as well as what you are afraid of. Then, hold your own hand, be brave, and take the needed or necessary actions to face and deal with the fear.

So, what to do? Know that under the full moon with the recent Saturn and Venus dip into the South Node that things always seem darkest before the dawn. It might be a cloudy or overcast sunrise but sunrise is around the corner. We are at a profound time of shifting into a new reality as Saturn shifted into Virgo last month and Jupiter and Pluto are both shifting into Capricorn in two months, and Jupiter joins with Pluto to start a new 13 year cycle about our belief systems. We always feel the energy before it arrives as the planets approach the changes that are so profound to our world. We are starting to feel their energy now. Saturn and Jupiter are generational and societal planets ~ they speak to what we want to create in our cultures and world. Pluto is a trans-personal and transformational planet without parallel in our universe whose entry into a new sign, Capricorn, always heralds profound changes in the areas ruled by the ringed lord of karma.

So be brave. Be bold. Seek to organize and build Virgo and Capricorn words, your routines and life direction, more Virgo and Capricorn words into what your dreams are whispering to you. You learned what was most important to you while Saturn was in Leo. Now make that most important part of you a part of your daily life. Build your best life. It is never easy. But start one step at a time, to move towards your dream. It will materialize before you.

The Sabian Symbol for 3 Scorpio Sun interpreted by Lynda Hill is NEIGHBORS HELP IN A HOUSE RAISING PARTY IN A SMALL VILLAGE

Commentary: ‘Neighbors Help in a House Raising Party in a Small Village’. They come together to help each other out and to get to know each other better. By acting as a community, rather than as separate individuals, small, large, or even very difficult projects can be undertaken and completed more quickly and efficiently. People bring their individual talents and expertise with them. The sharing of these experiences will build community values and friendships. However, there needs to be a careful watch on how some people contribute, as unskilled labor can end up costin
g both time and money.

< p>Oracle: In this situation, great things can be achieved if everyone works together. Any efforts directed towards giving value and stability to one’s community will be rewarded in some measure. Friends and those close to you can help you in any endeavor, big or small. Having faith in those around you can help bring a sense of belonging and relationship to your life. Sometimes a home or a community needs to be built or renovated in some way, with people coming together and everyone putting in their share of dedication, commitment and hard labor. There can be a feeling that there is so much to do on the domestic scene that other considerations have to be put on hold for the time being. People must all have a higher sense of purpose, otherwise some may work at cross-purposes, undermining people or even entire families. Is there a need for people to assist you because someone in your life has left behind their responsibilities? If you are in need of ‘Help’, making a wish for assistance to arrive may bring a bigger response than you expected!

Keywords: Cooperation. Real estate deals. Community concerns. Buying or building houses. Renting apartments and homes. Needing help to find shelter. The agreement of neighbors to maintain community harmony. “Raising the roof”. Parties. Dormitories. Having to consider lots of people. Match making. Community halls. Understanding what it takes to make a village of people. Communal governance or being blocked by rules, laws and regulations of bureaucracy. The

Caution: Taking advantage of generosity. Refusing to cooperate in group endeavors. Building bigger and better things. Bickering over who does what. Not trusting people’s input.

The Sabian Image for the Taurus Moon interpreted by Lynda Hill is NATURAL STEPS UP TO A LAWN BLOOMING WITH CLOVER

Commentary: ‘Natural Steps Up to a Lawn Blooming With Clover’ implies ‘Steps’ that are inviting, promising and easy to climb. It feels as though they’re leading to the promise of beauty, greenery and repose. They are ‘Blooming With Clover’, which shows there is a reward at hand when those ‘Steps’ are taken. Bees love ‘Clover’ and ‘Lawns Blooming With It’ ensures that the bee will make honey and therefore life will be sweet. Clover has long been believed to mean good luck, prosperous circumstances and luxurious surroundings. Also, the expression “he’s in clover” or “living in clover” comes from the belief that if you had plenty of ‘Clover’ for your cows to eat, they would produce good milk, providing nourishment for everyone.

Oracle: This Symbol shows that a time of fulfillment and completion is close, but there is still some small effort to be made to attain what you want or need. You must take the ‘Steps’, even though they may be simple, to achieve what you want or to arrive where you want to be. There is definitely a need to put some effort into getting what you want but it’s not going to be too difficult or hard going. Be on the alert for laziness and a “come what may” attitude. Regardless of what others are doing keep going the way you are, following your natural intuition and you will find, or achieve, what you have in sight. Rewards can be just a few ‘Steps’ away. It may be worth remembering that this landing in the ‘Clover’ may only be temporary, as there will be new things to do and further things to strive for. You may not have found your ‘Pot of Gold at the End of the Rainbow’ just yet, but you are most likely on the right path.

Keywords: Hopefulness. Inspirational possibilities. Gradually enlarging one’s vision. Harmony. Seasonal changes. Running around on grass. Bare feet. The beauty of greenery and flowers. Stability on the path. Steps that invite one on to bigger and better things. Abundance, nourishment. Making small efforts that can lead to large returns.

The Caution: Looking for the easy way out. Not making the effort to find what is just a few steps away. Being lazy when one should be going for the objective. Temporary success. Expecting everything to be laid out before you.
