12:35 Libra Moon and Aries Sun

We find ourselves with an assertive and very clear Libra/ Aries full moon on April 2, 2007. It features Mars in Aquarius ruling the bright and brilliant exalted Aries Sun while lovely Venus in Taurus rules the luminous and glowing Libra Moon. Full Moon’s always point out the dichotomies and back and forth nature of our world. We feel strung between the two poles of light that help our planet see, go around our lives, creating the seasons and the ocean tides.

The gentle light of the fixed earth Taurus love filled Libra Moon calls to our softer parts while the detached and vibrant, fixed air energy Aquarius ruling the Spring Sun in Aries asks us to focus on our patterns and problems with a wisdom we don‘t normally have. The energy of the Sun and Moon whisper to us. It feels that all things are possible on a delicious, gentle Spring day. And, in truth, all things ARE possible.

I just lost you didn’t I? All things ARE possible? Please! You live in the real world. You are dealing with the reality of your life which includes your kids, your spouse, your parents, your in-laws, your siblings, your dog, your job and your boss. All things ARE possible? I would be singing a different tune if I spent time with you and lived in your life!

It is a trick of the heavens that makes us feel oppositions represent opposite choices which we have to pick between the opposite choices. One planet on one side of the zodiac calls to us. We like it better. We feel much more comfortable with it. THAT planet becomes our buddy! We back up, stand next to it and put our arm around our favorite planet’s shoulders. Then, together, we look across the zodiac at the planet opposite to the planet we like and want to hang out with. We don’t want to do or play or be with that other planet! It is a NASTY planet. We don’t like it or its behavior. We decide to “give” that planet to someone else. Then the other planet suddenly becomes our kid, our boss, our spouse, and our life. The other planet become the badly behaved parts of our life. Those ‘other’ people play the role of the BAD planets in our life. We like OUR side and our preferred planet very much. THEY are mean, nasty and bad (or depressed, non-performing, cheap, lying, angry, leaving, playing around, stealing, drugging or not doing what you want them to do) and not a nice planet at all.

Oppositions are tricks! Bear with me for a bit more and I’ll show you how. Suspend your mental arguments. Listen.

Think about how a stringed musical instrument works ~ your basic guitar, violin or cello. The strings are anchored at one end ~ firmly placed into the body of the instrument on a holding mechanism called the bridge. The strings run across a sound hole. The strings run up the handle or finger board. The strings go across a nut and get tightened by tuning pegs. We look at it as a complete instrument. We turn the tuning pegs to tighten the string to the appropriate note or sound. We place our fingers on the finger board and make the sounds change to create music.

Oppositions between planets are like stringed musical instruments. The tension that exists between the two ends of a string allows the string on a guitar to make music. It is the same premise that governs the energy of the opposition between two planets in your chart. The kind of music you make depends on where you place your fingers relative to the planets’ tension with and to each other. The TENSION IS NECESSARY FOR THE MUSIC TO HAPPEN!

You can put your fingers on the bottom, near the sound hole or anywhere you want up the neck. The tension between the two ends of the string or the two planets AND HOW YOU PLACE YOUR FINGERS is PART and PARCEL of how an instrument makes music or takes action. Move your fingers around to see how the notes change depending on where you put your fingers.

Now, think of the situations going on in your life right now. There is a string or two out of tune, plunking a sour note into your world and into your song. But the OTHER strings are perfectly fine and able to make music! Focus on those strings! Play those strings! Try to tune the out of tune string if you have a pause or a moment. DON‘T take the fact that a string is OUT OF TUNE personally! Imagine if you were in an orchestra on stage and one of your strings goes out of tune. You wouldn’t play it. When there was a pause for your section, you could try to change or tune the string to get it back in harmony. If the string refuses to tune, keep playing the other strings. The other strings are perfectly fine and in tune. Besides, who wants to get off stage and leave the orchestra? Play! Play and have fun with the strings that are in tune!

Often when we look at our lives we fail to realize the tension that exists is for the express purpose of making music! Without tension, we have no sound. Remember plucking at a string with no tension? Remember how it doesn’t make a sound? Remember how as you tighten it, the sound gets clearer and stronger and louder? The tension between the two points and your finger’s actions make the music. The tension between the two planets and your choices (or actions) makes the music in your life. Of course, TOO much tension can cause the string to break. But that is another column!

Right now, while Mercury and Uranus in Pisces are inconjunct to Saturn in Leo, so there IS an out of tune string (or two) in your instrument and your life. Nothing much to do about it right now. You have music to make with the other strings. When you have a pause in the music, tighten up the out of tune string. Or replace the out of tune string. Or keep playing around the out of tune string until there is a rest or pause, lets say mid-April when Saturn stations to go direct! If a string breaks, get ready to replace it. No yelling at the broken string. The broken string is working on its own process! Understand tension, the purpose of tension, the purpose of oppositions. How you play with oppositions are what produces the music in your life and your world.

I know, perhaps it is time to practice different chords and learn a new song. Again, that is another column. There is time for leanring a new song. I might add, the time for learning a new song is coming very soon. In the meantime, just add a couple of minutes to your practice time every day. Start to learn a new song. You don’t have to keep playing the same old, same old, song over and over and over and over for the rest of your life. That would be SOOOOO boring! Learn a new song. Ignore or try to tune the out of tune string. Play with the rest of the strings that ARE in tune! Have fun with your full moon!

Libra moon at 13 is the Sabian image of CHILDREN BLOWING SOAP BUBBLES. Lynda Hill’s expansion of the imagery is

Commentary: ‘Children Blowing Soap Bubbles’ is a wonderful image of playfulness and fun. The ‘Children’ are having fun ‘Blowing Soap Bubbles’, they love to watch how big they can make them, how long they can last and how high they can go. The swirling colors of the ‘Soap’ along with the fact that they can pop at any moment add to the fun and the fascination.

Oracle: It is through fantasy, simplicity and imagination that you will find the best solution. Saying things for the sake of saying them, doing things for the sake of doing them, or doing things with no real thought of the outcome is fun, and perhaps what’s needed to lighten things up-as long as nobody is offended, led astray or hurt in the process! This is not a time to be too deep and meaningful, for it will be in fleeting moments of pleasurable wonder that you will find the answer to what’s needed. However, this can also show someone not being “real”, not taking things seriously and not wanting to take the responsibility for any outcomes. Perhaps there’s a feelin
g that the things that are b
eing said aren’t substantial-more like mere cartoon captions. Fantasy can intrude on reality and what’s being said can sometimes be forgotten in a minute. It’s almost like these issues didn’t ever exist. Sometimes, however, something that is said in a fleeting moment, a mere throwaway line, can have a permanent and positive effect on others. Whilst there is likely to be fun and joy here, there may need to be a consideration of whether it will produce anything substantial, permanent or real. If this situation is one of short-term rewards and enjoyment, it may be wonderful, but relying on anything real being produced may be unrealistic and disappointing. Whatever, enjoy the moment, and the display of fun while it lasts.

Keywords: Spending time being creative with children. Drama. Carefree or superficial. Finding joy in pure abstractions. Captions in cartoons. Pollyanna attitudes that can lead to fun or nowhere. Not caring about the future, only the moment. Rediscovering the simple joys of life. Toys and playing. Soap and bubbles. Comic book heroes. Being easily amused.

The Caution: Never growing up. Frivolousness. Daydreaming. Resenting people who don’t have serious work. Upset over the loss of things that don’t have lasting substance. Not meaning what’s said. Making light of the serious. Moving on without completing anything of lasting value. Dislike of chitchat. Gullibility. Impractical behavior.

It’s fun being a kid. Bradford Arthur Angier

One of the most obvious facts about grownups to a child is that they have forgotten what it is like to be a child. Randall Jarrell

It isn’t the great big pleasures that count the most; it’s making a great deal out of the little ones. Jean Webster

The Aries Sun at 13 is the Sabian image of A BOMB WHICH FAILED TO EXPLODE IS NOW SAFELY HIDDEN FROM DISCOVERY. Lynda Hill’s expansion on the imagery is

Commentary: ‘A Bomb Which Failed to Explode’ shows potentially explosive energies around which haven’t gone off yet that may now be ‘Safely’ defused. Things are “safe” from detection, but dangerous elements are possibly still within. Handling ‘A Bomb’ needs to be done with extreme care and caution. That the ‘Bomb’ is ‘Now Safely Hidden From Discovery’ shows it’s still potentially explosive, but has somehow been made safe. The duration of the apparent calm depends on whether the “defusing” is done with attention to all of the details involved, no matter how small.

Oracle: It is important to ask whether this situation has been defused or is still likely to ‘Explode’. Unexploded ‘Bombs’ can be like grenades that are ready to go off at any moment, spraying everyone with shrapnel. The ‘Bomb’ is often something of an emotional nature, but can also be the suppression of a truth that has emotional side effects. There may be time to eliminate the impending explosion before it is discovered, bringing relief and release. If, however, things remain charged up, the result could be depression or internal anger and calling in the “bomb squad” may be necessary. This could mean the help of friends, family, and assistants. Calling in your own emotional, mental or spiritual ‘Bomb’ squad allows you to take control of your emotional nature. If a ‘Bomb’ is discovered, it can point to the guilty party who will have to explain their behavior. Did you plant this ‘Bomb’ or did someone else? Take time here to reflect on rash emotional decisions or situations that, if ‘Exploded’, could damage much more than was intended. Getting everything under control and safely out of the way will reveal how you can handle things. Act with integrity. People involved can learn a lot from how they react.

Keywords: Pressure valves. Getting away with something. Tantrums and frustration. Tempers that simmer. Explosive behavior. Bombs, explosions. Sudden and forceful events. Intelligence organizations, CIA, FBI, ASIO, etc. Valuable lessons of self-restraint. Relief from problems. Discharging nervous energy.

The Caution: Suppressing stress or illness. Doing inappropriate things and thinking the secret safe. Repressing emotions. Undefined anger. Pressure cooker energy that needs to be released slowly. Explosions damaging more than expected. Activists. Deception behind one’s back. Clash of ideals.

Anger will never disappear so long as thoughts of resentment are cherished in the mind. Anger will disappear just as soon as thoughts of resentment are forgotten. Buddha

How much more grievous are the consequences of anger than the causes of it. Marcus Aurelius

“I lose my temper, but it’s all over in a minute,” said the student. “So is the hydrogen bomb,” I replied. “But think of the damage it produces!” George Sweeting

Though friendship is not quick to burn it is explosive stuff. May Sarton

I do not like this word “bomb.” It is not a bomb. It is a device that is exploding. Jacques le Blanc – French ambassador to New Zealand

I want to reframe the imagery of the bomb that didn’t explode as a string that didn’t break. I like my imagery better! Of course, Pluto just stationed and Jupiter is stationing next weekend as Mars in Aquarius comes along to pluck the cosmic strings of Pluto. Remember we are in charge of HOW our instrument is tuned or NOT in tune with the rest of the orchestra!
