The front half of the week is very, very busy and full of major, major changes. The back half of the week we process what went on at the beginning of the week emotionally. Next weekend we pick ourselves up and conquer our individual worlds and to-do lists. Or we sit home and cry. An interesting, action packed and emotional week indeed!
Uranus dives into the South Node of Destiny. This is an aspect that happens once every 15 years. The next time it takes place is 2030. Uranus is super charged with his ongoing square to Pluto so we can expect fireworks where he is concerned. The map below shows where the conjunction is angular and expected to be active ~ we can expect these areas of the world to feel the dive of Uranus into the releasing, ending energy of the karmic South Node. Additionally, wherever you have 12:56 of Aries/Libra feels the releasing energy. Any planets at 12:56 will be activated by this energy of letting go ~ easy or hard releases. Lots of things, people and connections will be unexpectedly ending under this energy. Tell your loved ones you love them!
Mundane aspects, those events occurring in the world, always take place somewhere in our charts. The “good” part of the story is Mars is in Pisces united with Neptune which promises to “soften” the energy from fire explosive and war like Aries to deep water, emotional and gas ruling Pisces. Mars rules Aries and Scorpio so the South Node and Uranus are both answering to a watery ruler united with the Ocean of Neptune in Pisces. I am guessing a tsunami if the line through Hong Kong, Shanghai, Indonesia and the Philippines is activated. Greenland, the land of Fire and Ice has that volcano just itching to erupt. The lines through populated areas in South America, Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa will be more man-made eruptions ~ gas, terror or religious fundamental explosions of releasing. We each will have a deep karmic release somewhere deep in our chart’s emotional core ~ remember that Uranus Pluto square wants you to evolve and change. Expect a “pulse” of evolutionary and probably VERY emotional energy.
Right before Uranus dives into the South Node, Mars links up with Neptune starting a new two year cycle of energy at 5:55 Pisces. Watch for where the 5:55 Pisces conjunction takes place in your chart. That space is where you are to start working on your new dream. Saturn in Sagittarius is pushing you forward, squaring Neptune inviting the dream to manifest. This fall we will really be working with the energy in earnest. The energy of this week with Mars starting something with Neptune and last week as Mars activated and squared Saturn is a “teaser” for the mutable T-square or mutable cross energy of fall 2015 ~ as the heavens add Jupiter in Virgo into the mix.
The heavens pile it onto our heads and shoulders by having the Sun enter Aquarius for 30 days of detached, group or tribal based energy on Tuesday. We need to spend time and catch up with our clan! The heavens add a New Moon at 0:09 Aquarius, initiating a cycle that lasts for 30 days as well as 2 ½ years. Mark your calendars for follow-ups to the New Moon energy as it makes the opening quarter, full moon and closing quarter aspects on October 30, 2015, July 19, 2016 and April 19, 2017 respectively.
Finally, last but not least, Mercury stations to go retrograde at 17:05 Aquarius on Wednesday ~ the Sabian Image is “A Man Being Unmasked at a Masquerade”. Lynda Hill’s interpretation of the energy of the Sabian Image taking place in the middle of all this OTHER energy is simply too juicy to leave out. Mercury’s station at the degree of unmasking promises all sorts of revelations and information surfacing or coming to light in our lives. Combining the unmasking energy with the releasing energy of the South Node/Uranus letting go of 15 years of energy, Mars/Neptune union (which can also be deception) and dreams, a New Moon and the general craziness of the world right now, we can anticipate a life altering week!! Hold on tight! Or not!

Commentary: ‘A Man Being Unmasked at a Masquerade’ shows the inevitable outcome for anyone who is participating in a ‘Masquerade’. He can get away with wearing the ‘Mask’ for a period of time, but eventually circumstances will lead him to reveal himself sooner or later. This could happen voluntarily or involuntarily. He may decide that it’s time to reveal who he truly is in his own time, or he may be forced to lift the ‘Mask’ against his own wishes.
Oracle: Sometimes life uncovers ‘Masks’, intrigues, cover-ups and mysteries so that the truth may be revealed. Things may look better or worse in their true light. What is revealed may be beyond most people’s expectations with a very happy result. On the other hand, there can be real disappointment as one’s true identity, and even the way one looks, becomes unveiled. Secret motives may have a purpose, but they almost invariably become known in time and pretending to be something or someone that one isn’t can lead to painful realizations when the truth comes out. Lies or cover-ups being revealed can lead to big changes in relationships. You may find that this confronts you now. The first concern may be for the embarrassment and difficulties that can arise, but it’s probably too late to worry about that. With this Symbol, the truth will be revealed and exposed sooner or later. The question is: Are people being true to the truth themselves? Are things being covered up? If they are, sooner than later it will begin to come to light that things aren’t as they’ve seemed. Is it possible in this situation to forgive and forget? If needed, psychotherapy and other forms of healing can bring issues to the surface so they can be faced.

In the Mundane world of events, Bill Cosby’s Mars/Uranus midpoint is 17:01 Aquarius receiving the station of Mercury in the house of groups, tribes and the public’s hopes and wishes ~ Mars in Scorpio rules sex (among other things) and Uranus in Taurus rules unusual food (among other things)… combine them and we have the story of unusual food (or beverage) and sex. I just love midpoints!! It will be interesting to see what happens with the various allegations against him this week. Finally, Venus opposes Jupiter ~ this is an aspect that happens every year. This year, it joins in with the general chorus of energy taking place on Monday… Venus separating from her relationships with the king, Jupiter. Definitely A N O T H E R leaving energy. At the end of the week, on Sunday, Venus aspects the Nodes of Destiny and Uranus as we go “ahhhhh” and relax from one of the more profound and change oriented weeks of our lives.
Mars in Pisces until February 19, 2015 makes the Aries and Scorpio planets softer, more pliant, emotional and deeply sensitive. We can feel overwhelmed emotional intensity flowing through our being. Take extra time for self-care. Mars in Pisces is SOOOO sensitive. You may find yourself crying or deeply emotional ~ especially Thursday and Friday when Moon is in Pisces. Imagine fish diving, dipping and swimming in the fluid, moveable, flexible water. Pisces seeks to unite ~ understanding we are ALL connected on the little blue and green planet we call earth…. Look at ALL the BLUE!!!
While we are focusing on Uranus this week, remember, Uranus and Pluto continue to travel forward together, on the road again, separated by about a degree as they approach their final, seventh square on March 15. Their energy will continue to be intense. On any given day, you can be both Pluto or Uranus as you and the world bounces along in all this turbulent energy.
We enter a period of frequent day long void Moons because Saturn entered Sagittarius. The last degrees of the various planets are in early degrees in the zodiac. Take the day long void moons and use them to connect with your spiritual purpose on earth.
All week, the Moon has productive and pleasant ending energies. Monday’s Capricorn Moon joins with transformative Pluto and is Void all day Martin Luther King Day. Tuesday there is a New Moon in Aquarius bright and early. Tuesday and Wednesday, Aquarius Moon has closing aspects of a gentle conjunction to loving Venus. Thursday and Friday feature a dreamy, drifting Pisces Moon sextile transformative, grounding Pluto. Friday, the Pisces Moon is void all day ~ a snow day? Home with a cold day? Saturday and Sunday have an active Aries Moon with a closing sextile to Venus in Aquarius ~ oodles gets accomplished! Or you stay in bed and pull the covers over your head as Mars in Pisces rules the Aries Moon ~ sleep heals!
There will be lots of departures of people hanging on by threads or who are sick or have undiagnosed things like heart conditions or aneurysms. Connect and send lots of love to folks who are feeling depressed or suicidal…. Uranus on the South Node has very poor impulse control and just wants to get up and leave! Freak accidents and unexpected turns of fate too!

Commentary: ‘An Old Adobe Mission in California’ is a symbol of man’s ability to take natural materials from the environment to build something lasting and enduring that protects, sustains and nourishes the community on every level. The ‘Old Adobe Missions’ were built in the early days of California in an attempt to bring civilization to this wild area. Although these ‘Missions’ hold a certain romance in history, people have polarized perspectives of their actual significance. There’s the romantic colonial version of altruistic Spanish missionaries and soldiers laboring to bring religion and European culture to the backward native peoples, and then there’s the revisionist version: white intruders subjugating and persecuting the Indians, indoctrinating them with religion, killing them off with strange new diseases and obliterating their culture. Somewhere in the middle, the truth will most likely be found.
Oracle: Sometimes it’s easy to assume that one’s beliefs are right and that others need to be shown the “real truth” or a better way to live their life. You may find yourself on either side of this issue. Efforts sometimes need to be turned toward creating the infrastructure to pursue our beliefs and way of life as this can enrich everyone’s lives. Moon day Monday January 19, 2015 ~ Martin Luther King Holiday in the States. Capricorn Moon goes void joined to Pluto at 05:51 am EST. Moon is void in Capricorn all day Monday. Today has OOODLES of action and aspects. Moon sets off Uranus and Pluto so dreams were troubling and turbulent last night. Venus argues with Jupiter so love and relationships are not particularly happy right now. They need to go their own direction for the time being. Say you love the person EVEN if they are driving you crazy right now as the next few days are VERY turbulent and full of change. Health matters are squishy ~ so pause before proceeding as Venus aspect Hygeia and Sun squabbles with Chiron. Structural issues about the body come to your attention. Mars is opposite Black Moon Lilith so folks are NOT in the mood to be subservient. In fact, they are pretty cranky about the whole idea of following someone else’s rules for behavior. Uranus is answering to Pisces Mars so there is a gentle softness to the detachment of the Moon. Similar to a doctor giving you a difficult diagnosis, you are able to take action to fix it or heal now that you know what is going on. Venus sextile to Eris offers a bunch of angry dreams last night that get you up and out into the world with a different sense of who you are. Sun’s quintile to Uranus invites a different approach to understanding the world. Mercury stations to go retrograde at 17:05 Aquarius and through the sign of Aquarius until February 11th. Double check communications, orders and all the various and sundry things ruled by Mercury. Back up that computer! Watch out for butt dialing and emails that go astray and cause problems. You know the drill. Reply all with a snarky comment instead of a solo email to your buddy. The merry mischief maker is causing a bit of trickster trouble with all things under his realm!

Moon sets off the Uranus and Pluto in the morning encouraging expansion. Moon in Aries connects with old friends today as she talks with Mercury and expands her horizons and knowledge learning stuff as she canoodles with Jupiter! Snuggle down and settle in or expand ~ either or both are supported. It’s a great day to get a jump on your taxes too! Or organize your finance as Venus and Mercury are connecting productively. Venus works with the Nodes of Destiny and helps us connect on a deeper leve. A story comes to an end this afternoon ~ you are ready to let it go. So let it go! Uranus encourages you to understand that releasing and forgiving or letting go allows room for new things to enter your life. Let it go. Let it go. Uranus connects with Pallas and invites a deeper connection and understanding of patterns that lead you and help you create the next chapter of your life.
