Weekly Weather November 28, 2005 to December 4, 2005
Our week ahead features Mercury and Mars stopped in the sky. Mercury is stationing to go direct next Saturday at 24:46 Scorpio, near the degree of our Scorpio/Taurus November 15th full moon and on the Uranus/Saturn and Sun/Jupiter midpoints promising big news of endings around our leaders and changes in our lives. Medusa’s head is getting triggered! Remember to fight with your shield as a mirror, strategically! Try not to take her on directly. Mars goes direct on December 10 so he creeps along this week and gets very, very cranky, picking arguments and acting like an angry bull in a china shop. Its one of those weeks when your life feels like you are watching a tv soap opera and waiting for the cliff hanger part. In the meantime, every other character in the darn series shows up and jabbers on and on while you wait and wait and wait for the characters you want. You might as well go get a cup of tea and a cookie as they are NOT going to appear until RIGHT before the break for commercials! And then, there are only seconds of furthering the story line you are obsessing over! Don’t you just hate when they do that? Do pay attention to the other vignettes unfolding before you. A new plot line appears. However, most of us will be so anxious over what is happening in the story we are obsessing about that we won’t even NOTICE the new story in front of our very nose. Watch your Taurus and Scorpio houses for glimmers of the next big story in your life. We are in orb.
Monday, Mercury, Uranus and the Sun are very active, indicating communication difficulties, misunderstandings and a touch of chaos. Authority figures can feel dissed by errant behaviors or comments and return to lash out at you on Wednesday or later in the week. Do not cut off your nose to spite your face. Be quiet. Be strategic. Think of your long range goals. Of course, if you absolutely can’t take it any more ~ well just remember they are Medusa and just aching for an opportunity to turn you into a stone statue. And Uranus is involved suggesting sudden events ~ like tripping or slipping ~ just as you are about to cut her head off. Be careful out there! The Scorpio moon suggests we take everything WAY too personally and mistrust intentions. Maybe they are JUST an unconscious idiot?
Tuesday, clean a closet or call a friend to complain. They are going to say, “And what did you do to provoke it?” Look at your role and understand how if YOU change, IT or THEY will have to change too. So often we moan and complain about the other guy not changing. Nope, they are not going to change to suit our desires. They are who they are. You can accept them and work with their flaws OR get over it and leave OR some other option you haven‘t thought of yet. I encourage you to explore the option you haven’t thought of yet. What is Plan C? Or Plan D? Or Plan E? Change. Be strategic. Use your shield. Get that strategic Scorpio moon energy working! Now come up with a nicer version!
Wednesday is a stay in bed day. You won’t be able to but will wish you could have pulled the covers over your head by sundown. The moon is void most of the day in Scorpio and in a balsamic approach to the Sun. Sun argues with Mars, Venus argues with Uranus, and Mercury argues with Mama. The issue is security vs freedom, Scorpio vs Sagittarius. You are not going to figure it out just yet. Write it all down on a piece of paper and put it under some object from your mother or your past. We‘ll reread it later in the week when it will be clearer.
Thursday, Mars is in a slamming around the room aspect with Pluto. You know when some one keeps slamming things around? When you notice and ask, they say that “NOTHING” is WRONG in a very loud voice. And you both know that “SOMETHING” is WRONG. That’s why they are slamming and stomping around. So, leave them alone. Or go help ~ do the dishes or take out the garbage. Mars wants something. He is not able to get it without a big old pile of stress and strain and perhaps a broken dish or three stomps and snorts. Angry bull in a china shop. He’s feeling very stuck, trapped, enraged and obsessed. This is the part where if Mars looks around he might see the open door. But, Mars is NOT quite at the point of understanding HIS behavior has to change for the story to turn out differently and the china to stay in one piece. Fortunately, there is a new moon in Sagittarius lighting up Uranus, Saturn, Neptune and the Sun. Illumination is coming!
Friday, go read the paper you wrote on Wednesday. Put it back under the object from your past. The moon is void most of the day, so just be quiet and think about it. Or go for a jog or walk in the fall wind. Look at the dead leaves. Everything ends.
Saturday, go read the paper you wrote on Wednesday. Tape it up on your bathroom mirror. Read it again. Read it out loud. Look in the mirror. Use that Mercury parrallel Neptune energy to figure out what you need to know. Put on a song from your past ~ listen to the words carefully. Read or watch a story that makes you cry. Do you understand this is not about you but about some old stuff that you are ready to let go of? So just put the old stuff down. You do not have to carry it around with you any more. Free up your arms to embrace the new things you want to grab on to. Sun’s trine to Saturn and the Aries nodes of destiny suggest you GET it today. And just as Mercury stations on that full moon of illumination. It is a VERY IMPORTANT lesson!!
Sunday, Mars is opposite Jupiter as Mercury sextiles Venus in Capricorn. Mars rules Jupiter’s Scorpio energy. Here is when the new story thread appears and starts to unfold. Watch for it. And, figure out some way to save what you’ve learned this week so you can reflect on it while you are stuck in traffic for the next few months. I suggest you reinforce the lessons learned ~ maybe tell a few friends or put it in your jewelry box? It is a literally a multi-facted diamond lesson created by your life experiences. And there is even MORE to come next week. Don’t you HATE cliffhangers…..
Mundane: Thought I would share a few observations on predictive work and my perspective as a predictive astrologer. Astrologers look at history, the current sky, recent events and watch for correspondences. We then apply our understanding about what the sky indicates to forecast the future. When I read for a person, I will ask about earlier times and events in their lives to understand how their history contributes and illuminates the current astrological patterns appearing in the sky to the future in their life. Essentially, a predictive chart reading is a type of detective work. I am a decent detective with Saturn in Scorpio in my eighth house aspecting oodles of stuff in my chart. I notice stuff other people might miss.
We will start with the World Trade Center 9-11 attack and the mundane echo to a little remembered explosion in Halifax harbor, Nova Scotia, Canada 84 years earlier. Uranus, the planet of explosions, has an 84-year cycle. Halifax featured modern transportation vehicles, boats instead of planes, volatile explosive cargos, a crash, fires, explosions, mass exodus, dead and wounded, and falling white stuff ~ that time snow instead of concrete dust. I quote “At 9:05 on the 6th December 1917, a munitions ship exploded in Halifax harbor, (Nova Scotia, Canada). This explosion was so vast that it killed over 2,000 people and completely flattened two square kilometers of northern Halifax. A mushroom-shaped cloud rose kilometers high and 3,000 tons of the splattered ship rained down on the area. The Narrows were boiling with the slashes of shrapnel. Next came the pressure wave, which washed up the shoreline and rocked the ships. Smaller vessels were overwhelmed and sunk. The whole Micmac Indian encampment up river was washed away. The harbor was heavily populated; a rising hill gave an excellent view of the ship on fire. Naturally, there were many spectators, which resulted in high cases of blindness/eye injuries among the thousands of wounded, as glass windows shattered. After the blast, the rain of shrapnel, and the destructive wave, came the fires. Being a Naval port and Garrison town, there were many ‘disciplined and organized’ rescue workers available. There was a massed exodus. By nightfall another factor was to contribute to the final death toll; the worst blizzard for years.” To my Scorpio Saturn, the explosion in Halifax sounds “similar” to the explosion at the “Port” Authority’s “World” “Trade” Center, as Halifax was a major deep water “trade” “port“ where ships around the “world“ sought safe harbor.
Next up is Y2K. To most people’s minds, Y2K was an overblown media event as “Nothing Really Happened” when the clock ticked quietly into 2000. The reason nothing really happened was thousands and thousands of IT people, dollars and the companies who used computers checked and reprogrammed millions of computer modules and programs to accommodate the date change from 19– to 20–. I flew all over America converting date functions in inventory, accounting, and asset management systems. We all worked very hard, testing, revising, eliminating and rewriting programs expending hours of our lives so an enormous problem was averted worldwide.
Therefore, the question becomes “Did Y2K happen?” The answer is both yes and no. No, as no major event marked Y2K while Yes, as we all worked extremely hard to prevent “it” from happening.
Next up is bird flu. It may happen. It may not. If we talk about it, it is not to spread fear. It is to have us pay attention to what is going on. Currently people are expending energy and taking actions to prevent “it” from happening. All the world health organizations and governments are paying attention. A recurrent plague may have already been averted back when that woman quarantined people with SARS and sent out an alert to world governments to do the same. That was the 84-year cycle exactly. Alternatively, a new plague of Asian bird flu might occur. On the other hand “nothing” may happen except we will test and kill millions and millions of birds around the world. Kind of like we did to all those computer programs, test and kill them, before Y2K, to prevent Y2K, to avert Y2K so nothing really happened. The energy described by the stellar patterns is still experienced.
Titanic, the movie, occurred 84 years after the real Titanic sank. Do you remember how big the movie was ~yet no ship sank? Nevertheless, we heard Celine Dion singing in every mall in America. If I predicted in 7 years we would have an 84-year Uranus recurrence of the USA stock market crash of 1929, what would you do? Sell your stocks in 6 years and stuff your money in a mattress? Hang on and lose it? Split the difference ~ cash out part and leave part in the market? Or watch out and pay attention to warning signs to decide what to do as the time approaches? What did you do about the “internet dot.com bubble” before it burst? Were you watching the Uranus and Neptune conjunction in Aquarius ~ surely a sign of delusion and craziness around Aquarian ruled objects like computers, Neptunian communities (sounds like a chat room to me) and companies with illusions of products and enormous profits. Did you sell before Mars came along to point out and puncture with a sharp stick that Uranus and Neptune had parted?
All astrological (or any) information does is offer us opportunities to make conscious decisions about how we want to live our lives and help inform the choices we choose to make or not make. We bring our own stuff ~ fears, anxieties, hopes, dreams, wishes described by our individual charts to dance with the stars. We, each, individually, decide whether to choose fear or love. We decide how to live our lives in the swirling cosmos around us.
