Weekly Weather November 23, 2015

Happy Thanksgiving Day!!!  What are you grateful for?

thanksgiving3

Our week ahead has three main events: Jupiter setting off the September eclipse degree for the first of three times on Monday, November 23; Chiron stationing to go direct at 16:56 Pisces on Saturday, November 28; and the first of three Saturn Neptune squares taking place at 7:02 Pisces on Thanksgiving, Thursday, November 26, 2015. The Saturn Neptune square takes place right after Neptune stationed last week on Wednesday November 18 at 7:01 Pisces. For purposes of the universe , a few days is NADA. Think of the events as linked in time and space as well as noting the recent entry of the South Node of Fate into Pisces.

WATER!!

We are awash in emotional, salty sea WATER!! Lots of Pisces ocean energy. Lots of feeling abandoned and alone energy. Lots of merging with the other energy. Lots of soul work, Spiritual work, Dream work and feeling the need to connect with the rapture for redemption. Lots of psychic impressions, feelings and connections ~ inner, outer and intra. Lots of see the cosmic union and interconnectedness of all souls. Lots of paranoia, sadness and despair from the lower realms of Pisces. Seek out folks or situations you find comforting! Lots of yearning to go merge with eternal consciousness.

Pisces is perhaps the most complicated sign of the zodiac. How does a fish explain the oceans depths to folks who live on land and breathe air? Look at the beach and folks dancing on the edge of the shore, jumping in the waves … then extend your eyes to the ocean laying behind them… how vast, wide, deep, peaceful and unknowable. It is sometimes calm, sometimes violent. It is constantly moving. Constantly changing direction, in or out, ebb and flow. How deep. How uncharted.

Saturn in Sagittarius’ square with Neptune in Pisces is the first of three squares. The next two are June 17, 2016 at 12°:02 and Sepember 10, 2016 at 10°:24. Put those dates in your calendar for followup information or events around what happens this week. Saturn in Sagittairus asks each of us to put a visionary foundation under our dream(s). If you are older, think back to what you did in 1989, particulary November of 1989 when these two planets of manifesting your dreams met up at 10 Capricorn and you started your current journey.   Other dates from this HUGE cycle are the opening square, offering you a test of the decision you made in 1989 ~ June 25, 1998, October 31, 1998 and April 6, 1999. The Opening Trine which inspired you to take the leap of faith and harvest your soul’s work ~ June 25, 2001, January 23, 2002 and April 1, 2002. Then there was the Saturn opposition to Neptune when you were tested and asked if you wanted to leave or stay ~ you saw your dreams clearly ~ flaws and all ~ very clearly ~ on August 31, 2006, February 28, 2007 and June 25, 2007. Then your life choices were affirmed with the closing trine of an additional harvest on October 10, 2012, June 11, 2013, and July 19, 2013.

If we look back at mundane or world events, the Berlin Wall fell in November 1989 which started a series of events resulting in the reunification of Western Europe and the Eastern Bloc. We saw people cheering in the streets celebrating the fall of the “Iron Curtain”. The Iron Curtain, among other things, prevented emigration. Of course, some people whose lives were involved with the government that was collapsing were home crying! Now, at the psychological integration point, of the Saturn/Neptune cycle, we again see a mass emigration with calls for border restrictions in Europe. Jupiter in Virgo brings mass emigrations and/or diasporas due to wars or hurricanes or similar catastrophes. We have Republicans vowing to build a wall along our southern, not northern, border and restrict emigration.  Saturn in Sagittarius rules foreigners. Neptune in Pisces rules the Oceans ~ literally seas of immigrants and sea journeys are involved with foreigners! We see the psychological paranoia of the square versus the euphoria of the conjunction back in 1989. We are older, wiser and perhaps a bit more weary in the ways of the world.

On our own interior level, we need to look where the structures that we’ve built are being psychologically tested and challenged. We need to NOT react from fear but from a humanitarian, gentle and loving place. We need to be kind to ourselves and the others in our lives. We have to decide what we want to let in or keep out. What do we want to support or pull the support from? Walls collapse. Oceans ebb and flow. What dream do you want to put a foundation under? Put the two planet energies together and think about what vision of your life you want to build up. What part of your life do you want to pull down or release to others for their use or recycle into the world?

When the ocean comes in, it carries away the sand castles built on the beach. Oceans win. Dreams win over the structures that try to hold them back. We’ve all seen what tsunamis can do to buildings…. Watch for the hint of a Tsunami in your life as the Ocean tries to change the Structure of Saturn in your life. Go willingly. You never struggle against a rip tide! Look for a change in the current and swim WITH it not against it.

Supportively, both Sun and Mercury square Neptune and join Saturn this week on Sunday and Wednesday respectively. So pay attention to emotions and the structures of your life as your Ego and Communications connect with the Saturn Neptune square! Expect lots of ah-ha moments. With Saturn involved, there can be news of endings or no not that way!

Chiron’s station to go direct at 16:56 Pisces on Saturday November 28, 2015. His station retrograde on June 24, 2015 at 21: 33 Pisces. He entered his shadow on March 2, 2015. Events from those periods will be active in your life as he pushes each of us forward. Chiron’s mythology involves being an orphan and abandoned as a child. Putting Chiron’s station in the middle of this muddle of Neptune’s station direct, Jupiter sets off the September eclipse degree and Saturn’s square to Neptune means the Universe wants you to have an emotional experience ~ breakthrough or breakdown. You might find yourself bursting into tears about the dreams not pursued or happening in your life. Take the grown up part of you and help the sad, crying part of you dry those tears!

Finally, Jupiter will trigger the September 13 Virgo eclipse degree three times. First trigger is on Monday November 23 with February 22 and July 21 to follow. Mark these days in your Calendar to see an expansion of the eclipse energy in your life. It was a pretty potent eclipse inviting you to expand your life and heal old wounds, with a bit of a health component to it.

Take time this week to connect with your inner soul. Meditate on the dates above of the earlier Saturn/Neptune events that have shaped your life and our world. You can approach the meditation in a few ways ~ look at where Pisces is in your chart and do something related to that house. Doing the Pisces house automatically connects you to your favorite version of Pisces. Or look at the ruler of your 12th house, your chart’s natural Pisces house, and do something related to that planet by sign and house placement.

Void Moons in the Week Ahead:  When the Moon is Void, it is wise to avoid making important decisions as they tend to be unrealistic, and subject to false starts, errors or unexpected hassles.  Avoid being concerned with things beyond your spiritual center.  It is time for subjective, spiritual and non-materialistic concerns.  Kick back, let life flow, and center yourself.  Connect into your essential oneness with the Universal Forces.

There is a Full Moon on Wednesday, November 25, 2015. The Moon carries us back to May 2014 and March 2015 when the events we are working on today started and had an action taken!

The Sabian Image for the Gemini Moon is HOLLY AND MISTLETOE BRING CHRISTMAS SPIRIT TO A HOME.

Lynda Hill’s interpretation of the Image is:

Commentary: ‘Holly and Mistletoe Bring Christmas Spirit to a Home’ is a wonderfully warm and inviting image. The ancient Druids of Britain regarded ‘Mistletoe’ as sacred and believed it had both magical powers and medicinal properties. They referred to it as the “heal all,” although now we know the berries can be poisonous, so care needs to be taken with them. “Kissing beneath the Mistletoe” is a tradition that has developed over the years as we have built barriers to more spontaneous expressions of affection. It is almost as though the ‘Mistletoe’ and the ‘Spirit of Christmas’ have become an excuse for us to be able to show our feelings. We have developed these types of rituals to compensate for what has truly been lost. ‘Mistletoe’ was so sacred to the Druids that if two enemies met beneath a tree on which ‘Mistletoe’ was growing, they would lay down their weapons, exchange greetings and observe a 24-hour truce.

Oracle: ‘Christmas’ represents a time when we can reconnect with loved ones, family, or, in a larger sense, humanity, to discover the strengths and joys in the cultural and religious bonds that hold families and people together. However, we don’t have to wait until a special celebration, such as ‘Christmas’ to feel close to friends and family. The openness that the ‘Holly and Mistletoe’ represents should be carried in our hearts always and not restricted merely to a few days of the year. Realizing how important those near and dear to us really are we should put in the effort to reach out to others at any time. It is not just about acknowledging these bonds, but also affectionately embracing them. ‘Mistletoe’ is said to represent regeneration and the restoration of family life. Perhaps it is time to bring that ‘Spirit’ of peace and reconciliation into the home and the family right now, regardless of the time or the season.

Keywords: Social celebrations of the spirit. Returning to basic joys. Remembering past celebrations of family and social cohesion. Kissing under the mistletoe. Using simple gestures to remind us of larger realities. Warmth, joy and anticipation.

The Caution: The use of superficial tricks. Performances to achieve the appearance of happiness or familial ties. Neglecting family. Excluding others because of religious beliefs. Rituals that have no depth or true meaning. Loneliness. Not being in the spirit of things.

I saw mummy kissing Santa Claus underneath the mistletoe last night. Song lyrics

The mistletoe hung in the castle hall, the holly-branch shone on the old oak wall. Thomas Haynes Bayly

The holly and the ivy Are plants that are well known Of all that grow in the woods The holly bears the crown. Anon

Love is like the wild rose-briar; Friendship like the holly-tree. The holly is dark when the rose-briar blooms, But which will bloom most constantly? Emily Bronte

A good conscience is a continual Christmas. Benjamin Franklin

The Sabian Image for the Sun in Sagittarius is A LITTLE CHILD LEARNING TO WALK WITH THE ENCOURAGEMENT OF PARENTS.

Lynda Hill’s interpretation of the Sabian Image is:

Commentary: ‘A Little Child’ is shown ‘Learning to Walk With the Encouragement of Parents’. The ‘Child’ needs the support of the ‘Parents’ in order to learn how to do many of the most basic things. The ‘Child’ needs guidance, love and encouragement in order to grow and have faith in his or her own abilities. Sometimes we have the ‘Encouragement’ and support of our elders, other times not. The ‘Parents’ can’t be there all the time to catch the ‘Little Child’ if it falls, so the ‘Little Child’ must learn to master the steps that are needed in order to become an independent and confident adult.

Oracle: You may be moving into a new phase of learning that, despite all your previous experience, is surprisingly difficult. Patience and step-by-step progress is needed now. There may be those around you who don’t take your difficulties seriously, but the struggles to make progress will finally pay off, enabling the situation to move forward. This Symbol pictures a new situation that has to be tackled in a new way. You may feel nervous about taking your first steps towards what it is that you want to accomplish. This may have something to do with the need for increased independence and while it may be exciting, it can also be nerve-wracking. Adopting creative methods and having an open mind and heart will help guarantee progress, even if it’s not always easy. ‘Encouragement’ and praise from others often helps to bolster the persistence that’s needed to move past this ‘Learning’ phase. True independence from outer circumstances takes time to learn and achieve. Being patient and not judgmental or demanding in this situation will bring rewards.

Keywords: Making genuine progress or always tripping over. Instinctive determination to get on with the job. People taking delight in the smallest progress of things. Baby steps leading on to big things. Trying out and accepting one’s individuality. Help from authorities. Seeking guidance and advice. Feeling mother earth under your feet. Parental assistance. Walking on new ground.

The Caution: Relying on skills that are not yet mastered. Not taking the initiative to put one’s self forward. Putting your self at risk rather than accepting help. Acting like one is incompetent in order to draw sympathy and/or help. Always meddling and “assisting” when one should perhaps just be on the sidelines, encouraging. Knowing that someone is going to “trip over” and not offering help.

A toddling little girl is a center of common feeling which makes the most dissimilar people understand each other. George Eliot

Life is just a short walk from the cradle to the grave-and it sure behooves us to be kind to one another along the way. Alice Childress

We are all novices. Only the dead have nothing left to learn. Anon

One step at a time is good walking. Chinese proverb

We spend the first twelve months of our children’s lives teaching them to walk and talk and the next twelve telling them to sit down and shut up. Phyllis Diller

Children, you are very little, And your bones are very brittle; If you would grow great and stately, You must try to walk sedately. Robert Louise Stevenson

Parents who are afraid to put their foot down usually have children who step on their toes. Chinese proverb

Moon’s day Monday November 23, 2015 Moon is void in Aries Monday Morning. Moon enters Taurus on Monday, Nov 23, 2015 at 11:26 am EST and goes void Trine to Jupiter making the next two day very productive and abundant. Busy to-do list days. Jupiter triggers the September 13 eclipse so we have to deal with emotions or health matters that seem to roar up out of the ethers. Be brave. Moon in Taurus says things will turn out okay. Figure out who your tribe is and arrange to spend time with them over the weekend. Venus is opposite to Uranus so unexpected changes, endings and divorces can take place…there is a sense of being just “done with it!”. Watch for who doesn’t come to Thanksgiving… problems in that relationship! Clear out and release things from your life that you don’t need or feel subservient to. Tonight a dream is filled! Or verbalized! You get what you are supposed to get as Mars approaches his sextile to Saturn ~ don’t like what you got? Time to change your approach to make Saturn in Sagittarius soar!

Mars’s day Tuesday November 24, 2015 Moon is in Taurus and goes void Trine to Jupiter at 8:27pm EST. Moon is void Tuesday night. A rather potent day of activity! Mercury speaks of deep things and asks you to face the underworld or darker spaces in your being. Don’t be afraid. You have to face them to see them. Vesta’s dives into the South Node inviting release from everything that doesn’t fit any more. A bright bit of laughter or merriment as you share memories of happier times. Mercury unites with Saturn bringing a bit of solemnity to the situation. Make a vow and keep it!

Wednesday Mercury’s day November 25, 2015 Moon is void in Taurus until a bit after Noon. Moon Enters Gemini at 12:16pm EST and goes void Trine to Venus. The busiest travel day of the year arrives as Saturn squares Neptune so expect weather or water delays while traveling, especially in the morning. Bring a book! There is a lovely Full Moon at 3:20 Gemini/Sagittarius. It carries us back in time to the New Moon at the end of May 2014. Last night dreams were full of action so make sure to write them down or talk about them with someone. Lots of emotional processing and busy busy once the Moon enters Gemini. Mercury’s square to Neptune causes further transportation delays, communications snafus or hold ups that are almost comical. Taking place on the world axis, there can be another Terrorist attack or heightened paranoia about one. Expect delays. If you meet a cutie while traveling, make sure to get their number ~ Mercury’s union with Cupido suggests you are connecting with your tribe (and you are traveling to unite with them). Nodes aspecting Admetos suggest this is the last holiday with the same folks… things will change permanently this year. Celebrate joyously with a touch of sadness. Mercury works well with Ceres and Mars encouraging the children and younger generation to step forward and help create the feast! Pallas’ contraparallel Eris invites you to see the envy and jealousy for what it is. Not much you can do about it except feel a little sad!

Jupiter’s Day Thursday November 26, 2015 HAPPY THANKSGIVING!! Moon is in Gemini and goes void Trine to Venus at 10:36pm EST. Moon is void Thursday night.   Moon in Gemini makes Thanksgiving a congenial holiday provided the Saturn/Neptune square is approached graciously! Not too many cocktails or it can shift into fighting, melancholy or tears. There is a very large dollop of remembrance of Thanksgiving holidays past. Partner and play with people you enjoy! Saturns square to Neptune can cause folks to want to bail and stay home. Mercury bids farewell to an old love, person, tribe or story today. Be gentle with those who are sad.

Venus’ Day Friday November 27, 2015 Moon is void in Gemini on Friday morning. Moon Enters Cancer at 2:27pm EST and goes void Square to Venus. Avoid buying things in the morning on “Black Friday” as the void moon means that it won’t fit or they won’t want it or it isn’t right. Wait until the Moon enters Cancer. Cancer Moon is void square to Venus so you can over spend today and Saturday too! Dreams last night were pretty potent and powerful. Pay attention to any messages in them. Mercury’s quintile to the Nodes of Fate bring a brilliant idea to your attention. Make sure to work on it! It is a good pajama night or party night depending on your mood!

Saturn’s Day Saturday November 28, 2015 Moon is in Cancer and goes void Square to Venus. Another opportunity to overspend, over do and over eat. Woo-hoo ~ we are in the best of company! Moon in Cancer is family oriented and sentimental today. Chiron stations and turns direct at 16:56 Pisces stimulating an awareness of being alone, adrift in the sea and urging, compelling a need for healing. Take time to sit quietly today on the Cancer Moon and nurture yourself. In the holiday season, we often forget to take care of ourselves we are so busy giving to others. Venus opposition to Eris combined with Juno’s contraparallel to Uranus suggests folks are going to be in the mood to complain about what, exactly, you haven’t been doing to nurture them. Or what the world hasn’t been doing to nurture them. It has that kind of energy. There is an awareness of solitude and aloneness combined with a touch of envy. Time heals wounds but right now it seems like that will be a long time coming. Self nurture is important on days like this. Call up people who are a bit blue or down and connect with them. Venus is biquintile to Chiron offering a novel approach to healing, if you decide to approach it.

Sun’s Day Sunday November 29, 2015 Moon is in Cancer and goes void Square to Venus at 7:46am EST. Moon is void all day Sunday. Moon Enters Leo at 7:48 pm EST. Long lovely void moon days invite us to rest, relax, kick back and do nada. Not a great day for shopping as whatever you buy won’t be right. So research but no purchasing. Make a delicious warm stew or soup to enjoy with some cornbread and a fire place. Snuggle up with a delicious book and cup of hot tea. Soak your feet. Have beauty day and apply masques to your face, eat popcorn and giggle at old romantic comedies or childhood movies like Toy Story. A couch potato day that so nurtures your soul. Sun’s square to Neptune invites a long, luxurious nap or dreamy day listening to cool jazz on the stereo.   Moon enters Leo tonight and brings merriment and laughter. It is going to be a busy holiday season so early to bed!

If you have things you would like to see added to the Weekly Weather column 2.0 or lessons you’d like included going forward, please take a few moments and send me a note. Thanks! Anne             [email protected]
