Weekly Weather November 21, 2005 to November 27, 2005
Week Two of our really big shew starts! Saturn stations at 11:19 Leo on Tuesday echoing and waking up last week’s Mercury station as well as the Uranus station from last June. In June you finished or completed the initial stage of a major project. All summer long, the project paused, stalled, revised, edited and tweaked itself. Now, this week, is the time for your project to venture out into the world after Saturn stations! Can you hear the announcing “da-da” of the trumpets? Excellent, fabulous, good, bad, indifferent, or horrid reviews ~ regardless of what any critics say, the project will take on a life of it’s own. It is time for it, or rather YOU, to go out into the wide world and shine with a light on your very own heart‘s deepest desire. Your project will start to move out into the world. It will enter into other people’s dramas, lives, and possession now. Saturn in Leo says our heart lights can be repressed, depressed, blocked, oppressed and held back ~ we have to work very hard to shine. Remember, it is only hard work if we don’t like what we are doing!! We willingly spend hours of time doing the things we love! So Saturn is asking you to figure out WHAT YOU LOVE to do and suggests, firmly and clearly of course, that you let yourself have a bit of fun and go do it!
Part of last week’s drama as you faced your fears and hopefully slayed that Gorgon’s head in your life (or at least poked out one of her eyes!) was to get you feeling brave, bold and strong as well as to help you understand that often our worse fears are of our very own devising. You are so much wiser now. You were younger way back then! Remember there isn’t an either/or black/white contrasting choice ~ there are multiple versions of reality ~ many shades of gray. That either/or business is what got you where you are now. Try a couple of shades of gray instead until March while you are stuck in our cosmic traffic jam.
The Sun enters Sagittarius four hours before the Saturn station Tuesday. The Sun parallels Mercury Wednesday and joins with Mercury retrograde on Thursday. It is a week when we profoundly “GET IT” ~ see definitions for illumination, wisdom, the proverbial light bulb going off under Mercury in your astrological dictionary! Mercury, lord of communications, messenger of the gods, playmate, con artist, liar and trickster is exceptionally busy with his buddy Athena all week. Strategy, strategy, make sure to use Athena’s wise insights about the situation unfolding in your life as she dances with Mercury and enters Sagittarius while the trickster Mercury saunters retrograde back into Scorpio. Ask yourself : Does it matter? Really? Does it matter?
Hate to remind you, but did you notice how it is tied to old issues (hint: Fall 1982 to Spring 1983) that you THOUGHT you were done and finished with? No whining. You can be done and finished! You have to change, accept it and move along to the next part of your life. Just look into Athena‘s shining shield, understand that it acts as a mirror of and for your current life. The mirror will help you slay that old Medusa with her writhing snakes. Perhaps you might walk away, for a day, a while or perhaps forever? You don‘t have to kill Medusa as long as you know HOW to kill her if you want to. The entire point of the traffic jam is to recognize you have CHOICES ~ various shades of gray! In the broad spectrum of Athena’s strategies, understand you have many, many options. You do not have to keep doing it the same old, same old way, like all those silly stone warriors before you did! You have options! No turning into a stone statue for you! Besides, nothing is black and white in nature. Why do you think YOUR life is any different from nature? Take off the red filter on your eyes!
Last but certainly not least, Jupiter in Scorpio approaches a fabulous closing abundant watery, emotional trine to Uranus in Pisces all week, culminating Sunday. The trine is the first of three Jupiter to Uranus trines occuring during the year. The next two are May 4th and August 29th. Closing trines offer us opportunities to harvest the crops and results of our life, actions and efforts. Think back to what you planted during the last Uranus and Jupiter conjunction, around February 15, 1997, in the Aquarian house in your chart at 5:55 degrees ~ five the number of change and movement! The seeds from 1997 ripen and yield a harvest all year, starting now! Pluck the low hanging, juicy fruit first!
Monday, expect potentially shocking or electric news as Mercury squares Uranus. The Sun sextiles Chiron for the last time. Chiron is leaving Capricorn for 50 years so pay attention to today‘s events as the Sun lights up the lessons of the father and deep soul wounding. Something you’ve worked very hard on comes to a close. The closing sextile says it is out there, complete and finished. You’ve done your job and can move onto the next phase of your life and evolution. The signs of Capricorn and Scorpio suggest the message is final, perhaps a bit sad but complete. Please know that whatever happens, the karma is totally finished, paid off and paid back. Debt free! The chains that bind fall away.
Tuesday, the Sun enters Sagittarius and expands rapidly into the abundance of the holiday season, the end of fall and soon the beginning of winter. Almost four hours later, Saturn starts to move again and begins to roll backwards toward 4:22 of Leo. Issues from August 20, 2005, when Saturn passed 4th degree, entering his shadow, come to call in your psyche again. You are not going to be able to solve problems until Saturn turns direct on April 5, 2006. Traffic Jam. Just go do something fun. Or call and friend and complain. And, THEN, go do something fun. Traffic Jam until Spring 2006.
Wednesday the moon is void in the morning but makes a closing quarter aaspect to the Sun, at 1 Virgo, reawakening July 31, 2005, yet again as well as completeing our 2 ½ year lunar phase relationship. Now marks the culmination of projects begun on August 27, 2003, tested on May 27, 2004, and illuminated on February 24, 2005. Sun joins with Mercury by parralel today, suggesting you hear information that is exuberant, positive and pleasant if a bit excessive.
Thursday, Thanksgiving actually has nice aspects even if your mother gets on your nerves and there is too much food in your tummy. Double or triple check the oven temperature, recipe ingredients, guest list and scheduled travel times as Mercury is quite busy, retrograde and aspecting Neptune by quintile and arguing with Venus and Vesta. It‘s one of those days when you‘ll forget the salt or burn the pecan pie or forget to make the gravy for the mashed potatoes. It is possible that whatever the mercurial problem is CAN be improvised around, about or with. If life hands you lemons, make lemonade or use butter or sour cream instead of gravy!
Friday, our Virgo moon suggests you can make a major dent in any list if you start bright and early before she goes void at 1:09 pm, EST. Pluto joins with Ceres at 23 Sagittarius suggesting we be extra careful with the family crystal and serving pieces as we put them away. Something is ending and beginning around family matters today. Even if you know it might be for the best, it is still very difficult emotionally. Get alone time to cry if you need to. It is a wound that is not going to heal for a while.
Saturday, Mercury enters Scorpio retrograde and joins Pallas as she is about to leave Scorpio and enter Sagittirius. Planets joining at the last degrees of a sign are often quite stressful energies that kick up the signs energy ~Scorpionic energy in this case~ that suggests wise words around transformation are helpful if quite painful. Sometimes the truth hurts. Mercury sextiles Chiron in a closing sextile integrating the events from the Sun’s aspect to Chiron on Monday. Words are important. Listen. Pay attention.
Sunday, Jupiter trines Uranus as Pallas enters Sagittarius. Such a harvest of emotion and feeling as the moon in Libra reminds us of the importance of relationships, partnerships and the people in our lives. On days like this I always remind myself that to everything there is a season under heaven and count my many blessings.
So back to our beginning. Have you figured out that Medusa is YOU? We are always so much harder on ourselves than anyone else is….so gaze at yourself in a mirror and figure out what you want to do with that head of snakes starring back at you. Medusa is your own creation! Did you know Athena used Medusa’s skin to make her aegis ~ a chastity tunic worn by virgins? Death was promised if the aegis was removed without the owner’s consent. Every aegis had a prophylactic Gorgon mask set above it and a serpent concealed in the leather pouch or bag waiting to bite all who dared enter without permission. Athena’s aegis is sometimes described as her shield ~ the same mirror shield used to kill Medusa. Medusa as a symbol asks us to undergo a scorpio type transformation to lose our virginity forever. Once we’ve agreed to remove our aegis, we can then use it anew as our very powerful shield. It is designed to protect us! Facing our fears has a funny way of making them transform into things of beauty. Claim your heart’s desire and go for it. Unlock your aegis!
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your loved ones.
