We have a once in a life time event taking place this week. Uranus takes 84 years to go around the zodiac. This week Uranus starts a new 84 year cycle as he enters Aries on Saturday. We all are at a crossroads in our life. Choose wisely. Pick that which feeds your soul. Go for and toward your sense of “I really want this!”
Sometimes, as planets get to the end of a zodiac cycle, we actually say “I really DO NOT want this!” If you find that is the case in your life, let the thing you don’t want leave your life. Create the space for what you DO want to come in by clearing out the thing you no longer want. Empty spaces create openings for the new to rush in. Nature abhors a vacuum….
This week is a leaving taking week. 84 years (or the subset of how ever old you are) is coming to an end. Again, as I’ve been writing the past few weeks, Uranus, a highly unstable planet, is at a highly unstable and very unpredictable degree ~ the last degree in the zodiac.
Have you ever stood at the edge of a high diving board? Or at the top of a cliff looking at the ocean water below? Or climbed to the top of a rock that juts out over a deep swimming hole in a lake? Imagine standing on your tippie toes, wobbling, wiggling and squiggling ~ moving as the wind blows and you contemplate diving into the water so very far below you. That is the energy of the week. You are going to jump on Saturday.
Have you ever been whale watching when a whale breached, jumped up and then crashed over into the water, breaking the energy and stillness of the ocean’s surface in a whooshing slam and crash of explosive energy? That is the energy of the week, the whale is going to breach before Saturday.
Uranus has anxiety about the changes before him, even if he is looking calm on the surface. He’s wrapping up 84 years of experience and getting ready to start another 84 years. THIS WEEK!!! Get ready! Get set! A new 84 year life cycle begins! A new 84 year life cycle begins in your chart in the house where your hopes, dreams and service to the collective community of humanity takes place.
For some people, this energy is simply too unstable and leads to break downs, break throughs, break ups, break a parts or break into pieces. If you know someone who is having trouble with the unstable energy, assure them that they will feel much, much better in a few more days. You have the gift of astrology that lets you know when the energy is going to shift, peak or end. They don’t. But they do have YOU in their life to offer that wisdom. So encourage folks to think of what THEY want. Suggest they not fall into the throes of feeling victimized or martyred by the energy. Pisces energy can make us feel undone or like we are swimming and drowning under the pressures applied.
Usually when the collective is undergoing a change of energy like this, we have a person or situation step forward to illustrate the energy. We get to watch the energy step forward in human form or via the events in the world. Last summer, Mel Gibson’s tirades at his baby’s mama Ms. Grigorieva were released when Uranus briefly entered Aries. Now, Charlie Sheen is demonstrating for us the energy’s unraveling, addictive, clarifying, erratic and yet crystal clear kind of energy. Mel Gibson even is giving support to Charlie Sheen! Uranus unites us with our fellow change agents even as it changes us. And we are witnessing Jupiter in Aries and Uranus at the last degrees of Pisces erupting in various forms in Egypt, Tunisia, Libya and the rest of the middle east. Servants no longer want to be servants ~ people don’t want to suffer any more.
We have Mercury changing signs this week, entering Aries, to start a new year long cycle. Right before he enters Aries, he delivers some rather shocking or surprising news to you on Wednesday as he joins up with Uranus. Mercury is the messenger of the Gods so watch what the heavens say to you about your path via the news you receive. Expect news or information in the form of shocking or surprising news.
Pallas Athena, our ‘smart pattern seeing’ planet helps us see our patterns with a very shocking and clarifying energy as she enters the sign of Aquarius and flies 20,000 feet above us. When you look out the window on an airplane, you can’t help but notice the patterns that form on the ground below you ~ the nestled clusters of houses, the roads dividing fields of growing crops, the rivers flowing and making natural separations between states in the union, the various hills and valleys of the land serving us as literal landmarks of how we create patterns even when we are simply building roads or plowing fields or making nests for ourselves.
This week, Athena, aspecting the shift of Uranus into fire, gives us a breath taking overview of how it all works. Watch carefully for her to show you. Listen for her to whisper in your ear “See? Do you see?” No recriminations if you never saw before~ you weren’t ready to see before now!! However, ONCE YOU SEE, you can’t go back to the way it was before. You can never go back. You SEE! The Rashomon effect of understanding the way it all interrelates is now part of your being. The clues fall into place and you “get” it.
The Uranian planet, Hades, is stationing and turning direct this week at 28 Gemini ~ on the South node of releasing and square to Uranus at 29 Pisces. Hades is kind of a super Pluto ~ dark, powerful and very strong, he can bring us into some very dark places. The dark night of the soul so to speak. Remember that after every dark night, there is a sun rise. A dawn. If Hades stations and releases a dark energy from your being, or a very old story that is part of your past, that is another way this energy can surface. Often Hades makes us realize how we are tied to the story from our past. How we relive, redo, repeat it… Now Hades asks each of us to let the story go. To give it credit but allow it to slip away as part of our story.
Remember when you were really passionate or upset about a situation in your life and you wrote it down in an impassioned letter or note to someone? And you saved the note. Or a copy of it. Years pass. And clearing papers, you find the note, reread it and suddenly the passion of that earlier time erupts. Your passion can seem almost embarrassing or so far, far away or it can come flooding back like it was yesterday. The mind is funny like that… suddenly the memory is triggered and active again ~ right back in time and space to the earlier moment like it was happening again. Hades combined with Athena will do that to you this week ~ surface a passion that you thought you’d dealt with and ask you to remember and deal with it.
There are a number of Fingers of Gods forming in the heavens this week ~ Fingers of God in the sky offer us choices of how we want to proceed. They describe moments of fate in our lives. If you have a Finger of God in your natal chart, you will have a natal excitation this week, meaning you get to pick a fated path. For the rest of us, we also face fated choices of how we want to proceed. Choose wisely. If you don’t know WHAT to choose, sit quietly and allow your heart to whisper to your. Your soul, if offered a bit of space, wants to speak to you. Listen to your heart. Be kind. Act with compassion.
Moon day, Monday, March 7 Moon in Aries is moving fast and speeding us along into the next phase of our life. Mercury has a working aspect with figuring out what we want to end or part with. We’ve been having wicked dreams lately about all sorts of things and last night was no exception. Make notes about your dreams as Neptune at the last degree of Aquarius wants us to start to sum up the last 14 years in preparation for his move into Pisces next month. So much to do, so little time…. Notice the patterns that you can adjust physically. We’ll be working with changing them in the next month or so. Mars has a brilliant aspect to Saturn so you have some kind of breakthrough mentally about your Saturn story ~ think back to 1981 and to December 15, 2010. The story finishes next fall on September 1, 2011. Neptune’s communication with the North Node of Destiny helps make you align with your soul’s journey. Often at major crossroads, like this week, we reconnect with our inner path. This is such a week.
Tuesday, Mars’ day March 8, Happy Mardi Gras ~ fat Tuesday, as we celebrate the last day of fatness before our 40 day period of Lent begins. I always loved Lent as a kick off period for new habits ~ which often stuck as permanent. 40 days takes us through a full lunar cycle to actually seed and start a new cycle. Psychologist report that it only takes 21 days to make something a new habit so with Lent we get almost two 21s! This Lent, falling a few days after a new moon and right as Uranus changes signs to start a new 84 year cycle offers us a radical opportunity to shift our behavior into new directions and forms. Venus is cooperative with Pluto suggesting triangles and dramas proceed easily out of your blind spot. Watch out for them. They are in your blind spot. Again a day with oodles of energy as Mercury at the last degrees of Pisces gets loaded up with Uranian excitement. Mercury and Uranus are buddies but sometimes too much of something is simply too much of something! Moon moves into Taurus mid-day ~ around 12:52 pm and has lovely closing aspects amid the crazy energy so the balance of the week is productive if a bit wild. Make adjustments to your grander thoughts ~ don’t dismiss them, just bring them back down to reality. Neptune and Uranus at work can tend to blow them up in a big way. Mars and Mercury connect with the Nodes newly entered into Sagittarius ~ suggesting to us our next heroic journey. Sagittarius North Node wants our life to having meaning now that we’ve grown up and accepted we are the adults running our own life. Sure you might have had a rotten time as a kid or lost at love but are you going to let those old stories run your future? Or are you going to get on your horse, Don Quixote like, and charge off on a new quest to fulfill your dream. (Cosmic Suggestion of the Planets ~ it is time pick the getting on your horse even if you might be tilting at a few windmills in the quest to live your best life! Definitely choose the vision of change instead of letting the old stories continue to run your future! WE GET TO CHOOSE with the square of Mercury to the Nodes. With Mars in a quintile to the nodes, we actually see how we get in our own way and understand how we can change it to get a different outcome.
Mercury’s day, Wednesday March 9 Moon exalted in Taurus can make this one of the best or worst days of your life. Mercury joins with Uranus bringing amazing, inspiring, electric or shocking news that shifts your vision of things. So if Mercury joins with Uranus every year ~ what makes this annual union so different than the other years? Uranus at the last degree of Pisces square to the Nodes of Destiny. Either you get it today or it slips off for 84 years into the sunset. It is a shift ~ a very big shift! Yep, that important! So watch what you figure out today. Most important information coming into your consciousness! Mercury enters Aries so we are in the mood for new ideas, connections and to say what we need. I gotta be me is the theme song of Aries. So watch your communication skills point you towards asking or saying what you need. Uranus’ aspect to Pallas at the edge of Capricorn allows you to see patterns in things that you never saw before. Watch carefully that what you are accusing the other of doing is not YOUR own issue. See the pattern before you. For example, if every time you get into a fight with a friend or partner, the relationship ends in recriminations, anger and finality, maybe the problem is YOU not them? The common denominator is YOU in relationship to all those OTHER people. And for whatever reason, the same thing happens over and over and over in your relationships. Maybe it is YOU, not them? The universe wants us to see our patterns, good or bad, that create our experiences. The good ones you want to keep. The bad ones, well, you are at a crossroads now. Keep them or change. (hint: Pick change!). The point of the patterns is we can use them OR change them to get some thing different. Uranus wants us to change. Nodes move opposite stationing Hades so a permanent ending is very possible today. The ending is needed for you to move on to your next chapter. Don’t be afraid of it. Just under stand that the ending helps the new beginning begin. Venus is working with Eris and Sun with Pluto so there can be some mighty nasty stuff surfacing today. Like a pus filled boil on the back of your neck, it needs to be lanced so it can drain and let the infection out. Take infections VERY seriously today as they are quite problematic or can become a major problem and spread rapidly.
Jupiter’s day, Thursday March 10 Moon in Taurus offers us a gentleness amidst all the crazy swirling energy. At least your FOOD tastes good! Jupiter is in high emotional focus so watch your dreams upon awakening. He’s working with Venus and offering a detached vision of how to proceed. Pallas enters Aquarius and flying at 20,000 feet sees the pattern with detached compassion. She’s strategic, effective and smart. Detach and look clearly at the situation before you. Emotions can be swamping or volatile as Jupiter adds energy to them and Moon squares Neptune today. The emotions can be illusionary to get you move on. Their swell of energy allows you to separate and float/flow in a new direction. You can look at your family of choice or the group that you hang with as a bit deluded. No worries. All part of the process. Clean your own windows before you throw stones at another person’s glass house….
Friday, Venus’ day March 11 we arrive at last at the last day of Uranus in Pisces! It shifts today at 7:49 pm EST. So today is completely wild. Moon in Gemini answering to Aries Mercury makes tongues sharp and decisions sharper. Dreams are rocking so note them upon awakening. We are jumping from the ocean of extreme sensitivity, martyrdom and merged energies into the fire driven energy of passion, individuation and I gotta be me. Aries can also be anger so if you find your self responding in anger today, it is that Aries energy trying to assert itself. We will need to get adjusted to it over the next few months to get our fire legs after being at sea for eight years with Uranus in Pisces.
Saturn’s day, March 12 Moon in Gemini makes us toss and turn all night as we fight in our dreams to make sense of the new energy. Again note dreams upon awakening. Today is another potent day as Hades, a Uranian planet stations to go direct at 28 Gemini ~ square to Uranus and right on the south node. Things can leave today too. Things that are old, past their time or unable to continue will want to end or leave us. This is tough energy to work with.
