Happy New Life. The eclipses are over! The eclipses are over! Time to move forward with the next chapter of your life, complete with the knowledge and changes wrought in your world by these eye opening, information delivering, life changing eclipses. Deeply ingrained ideas and emotional habits were challenged, evaluated and addressed during the past 10 weeks starting around May 15. Whatever the eclipses revealed was to help you release part of your old life and move toward your next big chapter of the rest of your life. It is now time to move on. It is time to evolve!
This week, Uranus stations at 4:33 Aries pausing to ask us how we are evolving. Uranus will officially be in Aries for the next 8 years AND he is starting a new zodiacal cycle complete with profound evolution. He will go backwards for the next five months, looking over the things he started to change, blew up or accomplished since January when he entered Aries and last summer when he spent several months at 0 Aries in the Cardinal t-square.
In honor of the Uranus station, I was reading Richard Tarnas’ book, “Prometheus the Awakener” ~ a book about Uranus and the changes he brings in via sudden information, ideas or inspirations. Tarnas believes Uranus should be properly renamed Prometheus in honor of the Titan who brought fire to man and showed us how to harness the warm, power and visionary ability of fire. Think about how much fire and heat adds to your life ~ especially during those cold winter months. Try to imagine the world without harnessed fire, huddled in animal skins in a cave hoping the winter would end before you froze to death. Prometheus brought humans fire in defiance of the other gods’ directives. Prometheus was a rebel. He focused on the needed or possible changes and implemented them, regardless of the consequences.
It is useful to remember Uranus is the higher octave of Mercury so the South Nodes traveling through Gemini during this time are asking our lower mind, our daily thoughts, those fixed ideas, and that routine mindless chatter or the repetitive emotional responses to move to a higher ground. Uranus and the South Node are asking our ideas to evolve and change. The Nodes invite us to travel from the childlike Gemini mind, inquisitive and asking “why?” of the adults in the world to the higher mind of Sagittarius ~ where we become the authority, teaching, wisdom seeking, expanding our vision of what is possible and sharing knowledge with others interested in learning.
During the past few years, the previous eclipses were in Cancer and Capricorn. And last week, we had the last eclipse in Cancer on the South Node for the next 19 years. The Cancer/ Capricorn eclipses asked us to grow up and become the adults in charge of the place and our world. Now the Gemini/ Sagittarius eclipses are asking us to look at our ideas from childhood (the ideas that we often don’t question but simply “believe” because we were told that was how it was or should be). The Gemini/Sagittarius eclipses are asking us if those ideas and thoughts still work for us. Do they mean the same thing they used to mean?
Especially now that WE are in charge of the place and running the show after the Cancer/ Capricorn eclipses asked us to grow up and take over. Do we still believe what we were taught? We are the grownups now. (How did THAT happen?) What will we teach others as our beliefs? As we ARE in charge now, do we want to keep thinking the same old thoughts without questioning them? Do we want to have NEW thoughts and DIFFERENT ideas that lead to NEW visions, behaviors and creations? Do we want to evolve our thoughts about our life and the choices we’ve made?
The universe is turning to us and asking each of us to own our own part of the situations we find ourselves in. The situations in our lives were created based on the beliefs we held and the behaviors that grew from or supported those beliefs. Yes YOUR beliefs. There is no more opportunity to blame your brother or sister or mother or father or childhood. You are in charge of your life now ~ not them. No more saying “I didn’t do it ~ he did!” Now WE are in charge. Now WE each have to be aware of and responsible for what we make of our lives. And it all starts with what we believe is true ~ the idea, the thought, the words that echo in our ears over and over again. What is your truth? That Sagittarius North Node wants you ready and able to explain it when you are asked. What is YOUR truth? Not your family’s truth. Not your employer’s truth. Not your bosses’ truth. Not your friend‘s truth. Not your religions’ truth. What is YOUR truth?
It is time to move towards the Sagittarius North Node and expand our life, vision, philosophy, beliefs, concepts. We have to take a visionary approach to our life and our own ideas. It is time for us to evolve.
Uranus was last in Aries in 1927. Think back to what was going on in 1927 and notice all the changes and the profound evolution in ideas, information, communications, technology and how we connect with each other. Back in 1927, sound was just coming to film. It had been black and white and silent. It was a 1927 silent, romantic comedy file which tells the story of a shop girl who sets her sights on the handsome and wealthy boss of the department store where she works. Because of this film, actress Clara Bow became known as the “It girl” Dorothy Parker famously quipped about Bow’s character: “It, hell: She had those.” At first, the sound films incorporating synchronized dialogue—known as “talking pictures”, or “talkies”—were exclusively shorts. The first feature film originally presented as a talkie was The Jazz Singer, released in October 1927. A major hit, it was made with Vitaphone, the leading brand of sound-on-disc technology. Sound-on-film would soon become the standard for talking pictures. By the early 1930s, the talkies were a global phenomenon. People went to the movies to watch the newsreels of foreign events as television was not even a thought form yet. Radio was JUST starting to be deployed around the world. Now we can watch things live, instantly, via personal recorders held in our hands. We see around the world on our handheld information devices. Evolution!
We sit now at a similar threshold of evolution. We can put our hands on virtually any sort of information from any where in the world. The question before us is what are we going to DO with all this power of knowledge available to us brought courtesy of Uranus and Mercury over the past 84 years? How are we going to use it to fuel our next evolutionary stage, starting RIGHT NOW in our life? Think of how much the world has changed and evolved since 1927. How much have you changed and evolved?
Tarnas pointed out that Mother Nature doesn’t “judge” whether one of her creature’s inevitable evolution is good or bad. It just is. Things, animals and people evolve. That is how the world works. Mom Nature doesn’t look and say “Wow boy did I screw up on that creation!” She just continues to move forward assuming all evolution is part of the process of the world spinning and evolving. And so it is. While there are days when we might want to crawl back into our mother’s womb, we can’t. We get to go forward to the next step, age, year, situation or chapter of our life.
However, people often want to freeze things, or stop the inevitable changes that come with time. We can’t stop evolution! We can cooperate with it. With each revolution of earth, the heavens mark another day in our lives. With each day’s sunrise and subsequent sunset, we experience forward motion in our life. As Tony Kushner wrote “The earth spins forward.” And WE spin forward too!
You can, of course, sit down and rest. You don’t have to charge forward just this second. You can continue to process the changes that have taken place in your life and where you are right now. But evolution beckons. It calls your name. It sings to your heart. It whispers in your ear. It vibrates the planets in your natal chart. It is time to move to the next chapter of you becoming you. It is time to move toward what your natal chart promises you can be ~ your natal potential. It is time to put down roots and encourage your heart’s visions to grow and bloom in your life.
So no harsh judgments of your own personal evolution thus far. No being mean to you. Hush the harsh voice in your ear. Just know you are right where you are supposed to be based on the choices you made so far in your life. You can always change. That is why we HAVE evolution as a major part of our life. You CAN evolve. You ARE evolving! And this week, as Uranus stations at 4:33 Aries, you get to see just how far you have come. And, even better, you get to plan where you want to go next.
The Sabian Image for the Uranus station is A WHITE TRIANGLE IS SEEN; IT HAS GOLDEN WINGS. Australian Astrologer Lynda Hill writes in her Sabian symbol book, “A White Triangle’ with ‘Golden Wings’ is a spiritually uplifting image. It implies the possibility of being able to raise yourself above the ordinary, using your natural gifts to find a new perspective into what’s going on. What’s needed is an uplifted view to expand your scope of awareness. This is a beautiful Symbol that indicates that you don’t have to feel stuck in the present situation – you can rise above it to something more spiritual, beautiful and joyful. It can picture an eagerness for spiritual integration. At this time there may be a need to not ground your visions, but allow them the free flight of imagination. However, the drive for spiritual integration or the longing for ecstatic experiences can cause a feeling of being out of touch with reality. It is important to persevere through any feelings of disorientation until a new sense of balance is discovered – then the grounding of your vision (or situation) can take place naturally. Use your imagination and remember to integrate the three agencies: body, mind and spirit. ‘A White Triangle With Golden Wings’ is a wonderful image or mandala for meditation. Drawing it on a piece of paper and hanging it up on the wall may well bring some amazing insights into the situation or the question that has brought you to the Oracle. Seeking harmony will cause things to move, sometimes in a very surprising way! Keywords: Inspiration and zeal. Feeling elevated and inspired through spiritual or creative agencies. Flying to a greater perspective. Taking off. Purity of thought and expression. Angelic form. Creative imagination. Self-transcendence. Finding new dimensions of experience. Illusions of sight. Visions.”
Uranus stations often produce earthquakes and seismic activity. As Uranus is in Fire, we might have a nice volcano eruption too! And of course, out of control fires that spark out of seemingly no where!
In addition to Uranus’ powerful station, our week also features Venus entering Cancer and moving through that difficult cardinal t-square. She follows in the steps of Mercury two weeks ago, Sun last week and Moon over the weekend. The gal in charge of our desires is tossed to and fro as she attempts to emotionally process all the recent changes.
Sun forms a fast moving Finger of God asking us to choose how to redo our home or nest in light of our recent family or group changes. Sun also is a bit depressed by the news from Neptune ~ or maybe stressed by his recent disillusion. Tweak the dream(s) and encourage them to change and evolve too!
Mercury in early Leo also travels through the t-square but he is in the mood to REFRAME or SHIFT his vision of the story from two weeks ago when he was a bit emotional about the news he received. Now he takes a “To hell with THEM! I have to watch out for myself and take care of myself. I can‘t fix them. Nor do I want to any more. Time for MOI!!” So listen to Mercury’s advice and let his Leo fire burn off the sad and emotional feelings due to the changes. Leave them behind you, eating your dust. Shake that dust off your sandal and get out of town.
Mars in Gemini still has hope that things will change. And they MIGHT. Until he gets into Cancer at the end of the month, he’s talking, spinning and trying to get the situation to change. He’s also triggering the eclipse from June 1 to remind you exactly WHY you wanted to change things in the first place.
Jupiter and Pluto have an earth trine, the first of three, between Taurus and Capricorn. The next two are October 28, 2011 and March 13, 2012. Think back to when they joined up in December of 2007, at 28 Sagittarius to see their story of creating great abundance or transformation spiritual or inspiration starting to ripen into a tangible form. Include the story from the December 21, 2010 eclipse at this degree to add richness to your interpretation. Working with an earth Trine for the better part of the year with these two planetary brothers can bring to life amazing things in our life as they both can create amazingly well. Harness them productively.
Again, because of so many planets in early degrees, we have some LONG Void Moons to plan, dream, and work with the creative energy of the Moon when she kicks back, laughs, reads a delicious book and enjoys a tonic water with lots of lime wedges by the pool. Kick back and enjoy yourself. OR work on those mundane, reorganizing, processing, boring but still needs to be done kinds of projects that you’ve put aside for just this type of cosmic occasion ~ day long void moons. Yummy day dream times!

Monday Moon day July 4 ~ Happy Birthday America and Uncle Cliff! A holiday in the states where wonderful food is consumed as fireworks explode over our heads! Mmmm. Moon in Leo is void all day until 9:15 pm EDT when it enters Virgo. The last aspect, on Sunday was Leo Moon sextile to Saturn in Libra offering productive energy to complete tasks involved with partnerships. Venus enters sensitive Cancer today for a three and a half week journey making all significant and not so significant relationships extra emotional. Our desire planet has no words but many emotions swirling around in her. Words may well fail you ~ so touch instead. A hand on the arm or a gentle hug on a rough day does wonders. Time to assess the family or the groups that you’ve chosen to assemble in your life. Do they all still make sense? If not, make plans on how you want to change your approach. See the pattern for what it is ~ it seems to be a change in how YOU’ve evolved. Venus has a trine to Neptune offering a new, feeling of “Now that I’ve experienced the eclipses, how am I going to….”. Mercury trines Uranus at 4:33 Leo/Aries asking us to work with the changing ideas and the new vision we have. Fire trines are energetic. This trine is taking place at the degree of the station so it will put wings to words. A great day to write innovative, explorative and evolutionary things and ideas.
Tuesday Mars Day July 5 Back to work we go, tanned, well fed and content on a productive Virgo Moon day with lovely closing aspects of a sextile to Cancer Sun. Virgo Moon forms a fast moving, day long grand earth trine with Taurus Jupiter and Capricorn Pluto allowing you to get a great deal accomplished today. Mercury in Leo squares Jupiter suggesting the ideas, while flowing and abundant, might take a bit longer to implement than you originally thought. No worries, just write them on your to-do list for later. A brief argument can erupt around 3 pm when Gemini Mars is a bit more critical than Moon in Virgo can take. Virgo Moon needs gentle suggestions ~ anything else is perceived as criticism. So gentle with those words. Mercury’s feelings can be hurt ~ even if you WERE just telling the truth. South Node works with the Goddess of Discord to help you be annoyed enough to change things. Or release things. Or move towards a new vision of what you want. Notice the discordant feelings and determine how you can shift them into something else. Mercury’s ideas have an adjusting aspect to Pluto in Capricorn so you HAVE to make some kind of ego, mental or psychological adjustments to the changes that Pluto is requesting of you and your world. Gotta EVOLVE! The Lord of the Underworld and Profound Transformation awaits your evolution!
Wednesday Mercury’s day July 6 Moon is void all day today in Virgo making it a great day to organize or restructure your physical reality or environment to suit your evolving needs for change. Mars in choices trines Saturn in structuring reality offers you a few ways to accomplish what you want to do. Just go for it and see how you feel after it is done. Mercury in Leo wants to release from old illnesses or situation that are unhealthy for it. Today is a great day to start a health program or release yourself from bad old habits. Mars separates by declination from the Family that you’ve created, the groups you are associated with or the situation you’ve not been able to quite end. Today, the heavens have your back in announcing changes or separations from things that you’ve been with for a while. See the changing patterns and work with them. Evolve. Mercury has harsh words with the Nodes ~ yes, they REALLY DID MEAN what they said. That said, it is THEIR reality. You can’t do anything about THEIR reality. You can only live YOUR life and stand in your own reality. Pay attention to the messages received. They might well have a twist to them but decipher it to the full meaning. I remember a man saying to me “Well I am going to marry her because she is a good catch.” As I was friends with the woman, I sought clarification. “Do you mean ‘catch’ as in catching a fish?” , I asked, rather incredulously, yet hoping that the answer would still be a no. “Yes, I mean as in catching a fish.” he answered self satisfied with his analogy while I was a bit horrified that his marital decision making rested on a rather Ernest Hemmingway “Old Man and the Sea” Piscean correlation!
Thursday Jupiter’s day, July 7 Moon in Libra is SO BUSY TODAY. A rocking and rolling day from the moment your feet hit the floor of your bedroom. Moon in Libra rolls through our Cardinal t-square as Venus in Cancer rolls through her square with Uranus the day before he is stopped in the heavens. Evolution! Time for the next chapter to begin. We will be bounding from one emergency to the next ~ a changing and evolving day. Moon’s last aspect is a square so separations are the ultimate result. Jupiter trines Pluto for the first of three trines making the changes all very solid and results oriented. Venus is restless in her home environment and wants to keep shifting things around. Take action after you listen to the good idea from a maternal figure in your life or a wise creator type. Ceres is at the last degree of Pisces activating her psychic abilities ~ and yours too. What does your instinct tell you about the situation? Mars works successfully to elucidate and illuminate the patterns before you . You TOTALLY get it. You are right where you are supposed to be. Now, to CHANGE that, you have to evolve. Mercury is also working with Pallas by declination. Pay ATTENTION to what goes on today. The patterns are revealing what you need to see. The communications are revealing what you need to know to evolve. And yes, it MIGHT mean you have to separate from what makes you feel nurtured and safe to go into the world. You can do it. Time to evolve. Go to the next step. Discord is instructive ~ note where it comes from, emotionally, dig down. See it as instructive not destructive. It will inspire you to change. You’ll probably get a “NO” on a project, person or situation today. Look at your dream and see if it actually is that big of a loss.
Friday Venus’ Day July 8 Uranus is stopped, building the tensions. Moon in Libra is void, another all day Void moon. So yesterday’s stuff runs the decision. Stuff today is more window dressing or saving face ~ both of which are important. Venus trines Chiron so feelings are rolling high and strong even if the information received is wounding or healing. It is an old button that is being pushed. Let them buzz it. Don‘t react. Know this is one of your evolution points. Mercury pushes off of Pluto by declination. Normally they get along ~ heck Mercury gets along with everyone. Mercury escorts souls to Pluto’s realm and is the only god who can enter the underworld and return unscathed. But today, even Mercury is appalled at Pluto‘s blatant grab for power and ruthlessness. Back to around February 7, 2010 and December 8, 2010 to see the initial parts to the story… it has been brewing since then. Sometime revenge is a dish best served cold. Stand back. Sun joins with Hades indicating a dark energy is rolling through the story of jealousy and revenge. Change to a new environment that you like better. Venus is also opposite Pluto as she moves through the t-square ~ time to let the obsession go. If it is coming back, it will. But if not back by today, it probably is gone for good. Let it go. Evolve. Sun trines Hygeia suggesting everything needs a good scrub to make it feel better! Give yourself some private time today in or near water to let the troubles dissolve. Mars trine to Zeus is two faced ~ yes it was nice what they said but everyone knows the reality is quite different. Move forward. Evolve.
Saturday Saturn’s day July 9 Moon in Scorpio is calculating and quite strong with her closing aspect of a trine to Sun so today is another rocking and rolling day of big accomplishments. Uranus stations and turns retrograde. So while the change is NOT unexpected, it is startling. The planet that causes revolutions and evolutions is busy, busy, busy. Venus and Jupiter are chatting about all the changes that are taking place and putting their emotions on the table ~ you should too. People remember how you make them feel while they might forget what you actually said or did. Today is one of those memorable days. Express how you feel and what you desire to the Big Guy or to who ever you find who wants to listen to your story. It is time to evolve. You can do it consciously and with gusto! The heavens are rooting for you! Take a big picture approach to looking at your future ~ imagine it 5 years, 10 years, 20 years from now. Talk visions and decades and dreams. See you dreams from 1981 and how they have come or not come true. Have you thrown yourself whole heartedly into pursuing your vision? What dreams remain unfulfilled? Do you want to rededicate yourself to partnering with the unfulfilled dreams? Or, perhaps, are they old dreams that no longer speak to your soul? Are there NEW dreams that whisper in your ear? What are they? The heavens stand ready as Uranus the planet of evolution and revolution stops and turns to you, gently asking, “So now what little buttercup?” I use the image of buttercup flowers ~ so very gentle, tiny and brilliant yellow. You are supposed to hold buttercups under your chin to see if you are loved. They always reflect yellow so the answer to every question of “Am I loved?” is yes. The universe wants to co-create your dreams with you. It is alive, vibrant and calling out to you to pursue the path you love. Imagine the universe supporting your dreams ~ they wouldn’t be in your heart if they weren’t in your chart. Jupiter working with Kronos reminds us that life is short. Mars joined to the Sun by declination reminds us that we have to act to make our dreams come true. Mercury partnering with Saturn asks you to look back at how your childhood created the you standing in the mirror. Now applying those lessons consciously to your next chapter, what do you want to partner with? Cans you see the patterns and how the child hood you had conspired to bring you to this point in your life? No right or wrong. Just evolve. Don’t judge it. Understand it was the perfect stew to create you. You are now being set free, in a sense, of that child hood. If you want to be set free. Or perhaps better is you are being asked to see how your past created your present. Change in the present creates a different future. Saturn has an aspect of brilliance to Chiron ~ those wounds or experiences we have while young create the person we grow up to be and guide our work in the world. You CAN change if you apply consciousness to the energies before you. Evolve. Evolve with consciousness.
Sunday Sun’s day July 10 Moon is Void all day in Scorpio offering a restful day to process all that went on last week as the Sun trines the Moon ~ emotional release and processing. Saturn trines Pallas in the middle of the night so note your dreams upon awakening. There have been some whopping big old visionary dreams lately as the universe is using all channels to communicate with you. See the patterns in your life. Mars works with Hades so it can feel a bit like you have to wander into hell to make the changes or perhaps you are taking action to LEAVE hell. Either way, go for it. You can do it. Clear and release. Let Mercury explode with his communications so he’s not holding it in any more. He needs to express and process. Let him. Neptune works with Hades too offering deep emotional releases and process. Evolve. You can do it. It does mean you have to change. You can change. Sun and our consciousness has a fast moving Finger of God today to Vesta and Cupido ~ look at the nest you’ve created for yourself and your family or group of choice to see how you can use them to move forward to nurture yourself and your next chapter. That Finger of God exists to point the way to your next evolutionary step. Adjust the home and the groups to support what and where you want to go. Listen to the whispers in your ear about how to connect and relate in new or inspired ways ~ move towards that. Listen to your heart. Evolve.
