The Eclipses are coming! The Eclipses are coming! This set of eclipses promises to be a doozy!!
Last week’s Full Moon officially started Eclipse season! Over the next week, as the moon wans and approaches the New Moon Solar Eclipse, we will be releasing, releasing, releasing. The Eclipse chart is a HUGE releasing chart so expect lots and lots of endings over the next weeks.
The last few weeks were full of angry energy. It seemed the entire world was crabby, crabby, crabby!! This week we have to be conscious and careful of not being or acting like a victim OR rushing into save someone where it isn’t warranted or needed. No more saving. No more victim. Man or Woman up and be clear about what you can and can’t change. You can’t make someone change. You can’t fix other people. They have to fix themselves, provided they want to. You can only change yourself. You will only change if you want to and consciously move towards it, step by baby step.
The eclipses take place on the axis of Virgo and Pisces, the savior and victim axis in the heavens. Pisces sees the soul and can be the victim. Virgo sees how things can be improved and likes to save things. Or vice versa. Pisces like to sacrifice themselves for the other. Virgo suffers trying to make the other better. That is old and releasing and going away and letting go and no longer equal! The lopsided, asymmetrical relationship is done. Time to let it go. Open your hands and let it go!
The Nodes of Fate combine with the Virgo and Pisces energies and ask each of us to take a different approach. Yep, no more same old, same old. Time to try something changed, altered, dissimilar or unlike what you usually do. A new approach. You are not the same old you. So do it differently! Act altered!
At the same time, as the eclipse energy builds, the REST of the planets gather around to send their considerable energy into the mix of the eclipse. Sun and Moon are at 18:55 Pisces. Jupiter is at 18:13 Virgo. Saturn is at 16:10 Sagittarius. The Nodes of Fate are at 21:47 Pisces/Virgo. Pallas Athena is at 16:11 Aquarius. Uranus is at 18:41 Aries. Chiron is at 20:54 Pisces. Pluto is at 17:04 Capricorn. These planets are all clustered between 16 and 21 ~ a considerable and concentrated dose of energy.
The eclipse takes place at 18 degrees is a Karmic number ~ it adds to 9. It was the same degree of the Sun on 9-11. If you have planets or midpoints between 16 to 21 degrees, they will hook into this eclipse big time! If you have planets at those degress (like I do), you can anticipate a MAJOR event happening in your life. If you don’t have planets there, you will watch MAJOR events happening around you in the world.
In Bernadette Brady’s book “The Eagle and the Lark,” she describes this family of Eclipses as follows: “This family of eclipses is concerned with endings or separations. Thus, when it affects a chart individuals will find themselves dealing with a parting. This parting can be anything from a friend traveling overseas and the saying of goodbyes to the end of a relationship with a loved one, which could bring much anguish or grief. However, the pain of the separation is lessened by encountering new situations which lead to very positive outcomes.”
Sun and Moon in the compassionate sign of Pisces is all about service, servitude, compassion and taking care of others. In a lower form, it can be about being a victim or sacrifice. Pisces planets see the souls of other people ~ which can be a good or bad thing ~ The problem is Pisces expects what they see to be reality! Often accused of wearing rose colored glasses, Pisces see the world through a colored lens. Pisces can go to the ocean depths and only returns when it calms down. As the Sun and Moon are on the bottomless South Node of loss and letting go, expect that eclipse energy to dive, dive, dive into the depths of your heart and your chart. You will be diving into deep and profound emotional depths.
It will be easy to be overwhelmed with all this energy flying around. So act like a Fire Monkey when overwhelmed ~ climb or run up to the top of the nearest tree and watch, carefully watch! From that position of conscious, careful watching, decide what, if anything, you want to, need to or can actually do. In many instances, there will be nothing you can do but be present to the situation and a witness to the people involved. In some instances, YOU will be the one involved and folks will be present for you.
Sun meets up with parenting and nurturing Ceres. They want to start a new chapter around home, self, nurturing and self care. Allow the changes to take place. Make space and time for your own personal self care! You need extra coddling. Underbook appointments in your calendar so you have room for emergencies. Limits get set on Sunday when Sun squares Saturn and they get into a tussle about who is right. Agree to disagree!
Mercury is quite annoyed on Monday as he gets irritated by news or lack of response from someone or something. Take a deep breath. They are having their version of crazy too! There is a firm ending this week as both Mercury and Mars aspect Admetos, wrapping up situations that have gone on way too long! Mercury enters Pisces on Saturday March 5 and spends 16 short days in the watery depths of feeling ~ just long enough to make you think you will never stop crying!
Venus is following Mercury and making the same aspects as Mercury did this week and last. Venus works productively with Saturn, Pluto and Uranus in the middle of the week ~ helping us get clear about what we desire and want. Venus is inconjunct to Jupiter and the Node of Fate ~ a health matter can require direct attention. Over the weekend, she’s a bit crabby though!
Mars enters Sagittarius on Saturday and is all fired up, all over the place and inspired and incendiary until May 28. Stand back world and take a deep breath. Things are about to get even faster and MORE crazy than they already are!
Uranus is in a bit of muddle this week aspecting Juno, Vesta and Pallas ~ the feminine is confused, confusing or deeply emotional and also in the mood to blow things up!! Expect tears and break ups as part of the eclipse energy. Or just a wild form of chaos as the center falls away and doesn’t hold any more!
Juno stations to go retrograde on the world axis of 15 Scorpio on Wednesday forming new AND ending old partnerships, relationships and marriages. This is a classic violent energy about lost relationships unfortunately so no fooling around if partner is prone to violence.
Jupiter continues to travel tightly through the sky with the North Node of Fate bringing all sorts of new connections into your life! You are also RELEASING your old life through the South Node of Fate in Pisces. You may find you have reunions or connections with people from your past to say goodbye and reminisce about the good old days. Collect those business cards. Make sure you can find the person later when you want to work with them. We are starting a new 12 year cycle and a new 19 year cycle of connections so think back to 2004, 1992, 1980 and 1968 as well as spring 1997 and 1978! Similar stories are bouncing around your life now!
Jupiter has an adjusting aspect to Uranus over the weekend, introducing a new way of thinking about things or approaching the world. Try it! You will like it!
If overwhelmed this week by the cascading, releasing and shifting energy, take comfort and spend time in Piscean activities that sooth and transport you to a clean and clear emotional space. Or be like a fire monkey and climb to the top of the nearest tree to watch the world below you dissolve into chaos while you are safe and sound!
Void Moons in the Week Ahead: When the Moon is Void, it is wise to avoid making important decisions as they tend to be unrealistic, and subject to false starts, errors or unexpected hassles. Avoid being concerned with things beyond your spiritual center. It is time for subjective, spiritual and non-materialistic concerns. Kick back, let life flow, and center yourself. Connect into your essential oneness with the Universal Forces.
