As you probably noticed, the Weekly Weather column has been missing in action the past couple of weeks. The eclipses hit this astrologer’s family pretty hard. Pluto galloped forth from beneath earth and, well, we all know about Pluto. He tends to be difficult to ignore ~ kind of takes over the room and sucks the air out of it! When Pluto squares the Nodes of Fate during an eclipse, exactly, he’s sure to cause major mischief. And Uranus diving into the South Node was no picnic. So please add my sister Mary to your prayers. Prayers help when dealing with Pluto. Thank you.
Okay so when we left off two weeks ago, the South Node New Moon eclipse was approaching at 29:27 Pisces on March 20. Into the giant releasing , letting go, swirling, merging time and space vortex of the last degree of the last sign of the zodiac, we released a major 19 year cycle (or perhaps a 38 year or a 57 year cycle). It was done. The heavens said it was time to turn away from your old life and release, gently, kindly and purposefully the old, outworn life and start to move toward a new chapter.
It has a Christian slant but Joel Henry’s description of the eclipse speaks eloquently of the 29 Pisces eclipse energy.
“This solar eclipse in Pisces at 29 degrees promises an opening of the heart and an elevation of our ability and capacity to love, forgive, empathize with and become more compassionate as the Christ energies continue to uplift all those who have “eyes to see and ears to hear”. ‘Spiritually surrendering’ will be the name of the game for the next six months as the stage has been set for our outer lives to walk into, welcome and embrace a new way of operating in the world that is much freer and at the same time gentler. If there are any blocks or barriers to becoming softer, assuming a more passive stance and looking through the lenses of brotherly love and compassion, you can expect these to dissolve as we step into Christ’s return energetically within our bodies and psyche’s. At this time in our evolution, people who are consciously transforming themselves will be able enjoy a boost of relaxation and a releasing of lower ways of operating via ego, power struggles and limiting fixed mental constructs. The energy of the heart will take over our consciousness which will pave the way for other’s to be awakened to these new, yet old forces of the cosmos. This is truly a magical time as things that have been holding us up for years will magically melt away with the Neptunian vibration of dissolution. Trusting the heart’s desire may not come easy for some and we will still see the rejection of heart-based principles in our world at the same time it will be safe for spiritual people to open up and transcend current limitations and beliefs that say it is unsafe to show our true colors of compassion, love, tenderness and affection, despite what we all see on the news. The mutable vibration of Pisces flows past all limiting hard structures held in the heart. It transcends. Will you go with it? All are welcome.”
The 29th degree of Pisces marked the arrival of the Christian era as the precession of the solar system moved backwards from 0 Aries into Pisces. For the last 2100 years, the symbol of the fish and the barriers presented by oceans have ruled and guided us on earth. Now as we slip from Pisces into the Age of Aquarius, symbolized by the glyph of electric current, we’ve connected the entire earth into a giant web ~ we can watch morning traffic jams in Hong Kong or learn instantly about a plane flying into an Alpine mountain in France as the desperate pilot pounds on a locked cockpit door and passengers scream. The change is upon us.
After the release of the New Moon Solar Eclipse into 29 Pisces, we move into the ANGER or ACTION energy of a sky full of fire!! Mars in Aries was burning just below the surface of that Pisces eclipse of loss and letting go at the last degree of the last sign of the zodiac. Mars ruled the sky as all the planets reported into him as the boss of the heavens. I know my chart was ON FIRE as the Sun and Moon in Aries set off the Uranus/Pluto square the weekend of March 21. Mars in Aries ruled the heavens for 10 days, through Tuesday March 31, when Mars entered Taurus. The Nodes of Destiny were split ~ Mars ruled the South Node where all the action was taking place as Venus, quietly in charge of the North Node, invited us gently (did we listen?) to move toward love.
Suddenly, the entire energy of the heavens shifted as Venus in Taurus took over the heavens on March 31. Now the heavens were reporting to HER, the queen of the sky, in Taurus, as Venus ruled Mars in Taurus. Venus was flying high as an evening star as the crescent moon moved past her the previous week ~ you couldn’t miss her if you looked up at the sky after sunset. We felt the energetic shift towards peace, love, inclusion and kindness as a tentative nuclear deal was negotiated with Iran and Indiana’s governor faced economic (Venus rules money as well as love) and business backlash over his ‘religious freedom’ law. We ARE moving out of the Age of Pisces into Aquarius ~ an inclusive sign!
So here we are two weeks after the Pisces eclipse and two days after the Full Moon Eclipse, with ANOTHER HUGE week ahead of us. I know, I want to crawl into bed and sleep for a month too! Yesterday, on Sunday, Sun squared Pluto so we looked Pluto right in the face. Monday Sun and Uranus meet up bright and early! Expect explosions and breakthroughs! But they want to be kinder, gentler explosions and breakthroughs as Venus rules the sky. It is all about love, value, desire, money and what we want or need to go forward. And you don’t need much but you DO need to be clear about your vision of what you want to do, and where you want to head. The Universe is supporting you!
Mercury repeats the Sun, Mars and Venus’ journey as he trines Jupiter, dances with the Nodes of Destiny, squares Pluto and joins Uranus in the first part of the week. So we wrap up the story of our evolution. You have a mental or emotional breakthrough as Mercury connects with these planets. It is time to speak your truth, whatever it maybe and move toward it with sturdy steps.
Mars gets set free from partnerships that are finished on April 7 and starts moving toward his new dream next Sunday.
Jupiter stations at 12:35 Leo on Thursday, April 8 ~ forward to your new chapter! Jupiter is illuminating your Leo house inviting you to expand your life and shine in a new way.
Pallas enters Capricorn on April 8 making her strategic insights practical, down to earth and profound.
Venus enters Gemini on Saturday until May 7 and meets up with the Nodes of Destiny on April 7 offering some tough choices.
Eclipse seasons are big departure time periods. The Sun and Moon link up with the Nodes of Fate and Destiny, inviting us to change our paths and course correct our lives. The next two weeks as Moon wans in energy will bring many departures or news of leavetaking. Release, release, release. It is time to leave earth, the job, the relationship, or the situation that has outgrown you (or vice versa). People who are elderly, sick or with a tenuous hold on life will leave us. It is another big suicide week if folks don’t have a vision of where they are going. Send love and connect with folks who are depressed,suicidal or sad.
Monday and Tuesday have a Scorpio Moon which invites us to decide how to proceed and asks us to choose between love and nurture as Moon opposes Venus. Moon is Void Tuesday night. Sagittarius Moon on Wednesday and Thursday has lovely closing aspects of a trine to Aries Sun with Moon void Thursday afternoon and evening. Moon in Capricorn Friday and Saturday has a square to Mercury suggesting serious negotiations. A void Cappy moon Sunday morning moves into an Aquarius Moon Sunday afternoon with a working sextile to Mercury creating a place of agreement.
Void Moons in the Week Ahead: When the Moon is Void, it is wise to avoid making important decisions as they tend to be unrealistic, and subject to false starts, errors or unexpected hassles. Avoid being concerned with things beyond your spiritual center. It is time for subjective, spiritual and non-materialistic concerns. Kick back, let life flow, and center yourself. Moon day Monday April 6, 2015 Moon in Scorpio goes void Opposite to Venus. Today and yesterday were probably two of the more important days in the next 30 years. You are putting together the next chapter of your life after the evolution demanded by Uranus and Pluto. Lots of dreams last night kept you tossing and turning as you tried to decide how to partner. Mercury trines Jupiter to ask for guidance from a wise counselor and support in the moving forward. Sun’s union with Uranus bright and early in the morning kicks the lights on so you can see clearly what and how you have changed over the past few years. You don’t see the world with the same eyes. Now that you’ve gone through the Uranus/Pluto square as well as these eclipses, things are different. Mercury’s quintile to Ceres encourages you to accept the nurturing and ideas being offered to you. Venus’ union with Sedna invites some mourning at how you’ve suffered and yet done nothing wrong. Life is sometimes like that. Today there is a realization that even if perfection was an option, it would not have worked out. Mars argues with Saturn and isn’t sure how he wants to proceed. Neptune’s sextile to Astraea brings a note of sadness to the day. Mercury connects with the Nodes of Destiny so notice the meetings or people you connect with or take place, they are fated and somehow tied to your future life. Make sure to get their number! You meet and walk away from Zeus seeing him clearly. Saturn’s square to Vesta says you can’t go home again. It isn’t there anymore.

Dreams were full of toss and turn energy as Venus argued with the Nodes of Destiny ~ pay attention as Venus is ruling both ends of the Nodes. She wants us to understand the magnitude of the choices before us. The intense story of the Pluto Uranus square continues to evolve as Mercury in Aries approaches his square with Pluto. Speak your truth. Pluto and Mercury are actually buddies as Pluto appreciates being told the truth and honesty when he is behaving properly. However, TODAY they are NOT getting along as Mercury has probably caught Pluto doing a bad thing. There are good Plutos and bad Plutos. Time for more folks doing the bad version of Pluto to get caught and found out. No more subservience to a bad Pluto and yes it means you might have to leave or adjust the tribe you’ve been part of. Mars square to Juno invites a change in partnership or relationships. Hang out with those who actually support and sustain you. Mercury’s square to Pluto invites harsh words or emotional upsets too. Mercury is fleet of foot and has the goods on bad Pluto. Now we have to see what he does with the information he has. Venus’ contraparallel to Pluto invites the feminine to stand up to bad Pluto (or good Pluto) and say what she wants. Venus rules Money and desire so that should be a mighty INTERESTING conversation indeed!
Wednesday Mercury’s day April 8, 2015 Moon enters Sagittarius at 01:09:19 am ET and goes void Trine to the Sun. Today Jupiter stations and turns direct, activating the story from September 12/13, 2014 and December 8, 2014. The story wraps up on July 6 when Jupiter passes the degree of his station in December and finishes things up. Jupiter in Leo is all about justice for all. Watch for shifts and expansions in the Leo ruled areas of your chart. Time to shine!!! Mercury joins with Uranus after his argument/conversation with Pluto yesterday. Time to move forward towards freedom, evolution, chaos, change and a brand new deal! Inspiration is in the air. Mercury’s opposition to Zeus ~ straight talk to the king is important. Ignorance of the law is STILL ignorance and no excuse for bad behavior. It needs to be fixed. Mercury’s parallel to Uranus offers a new perspective on the matter. Pallas enters Capricorn making strategic energy very prominent, structured, disciplined and profound until January 22, 2016 (There is a Pallas retrograde in there!) Allow yourself to dream big and put some infrastructure (at least in your head) under the dreams, strategies and visions…
Jupiter’s Day Thursday April 9, 2015 Moon is in Sagittarius and goes void Trine to the Sun at 01:42:52 pm ET. Moon is void Thursday afternoon and evening. Today we go forward with a HUGE WHOOSH!!!! As Jupiter pivots and tips forward into the future, the Leo house is every chart is invited to shine in the way it knows best. Vesta’s inconjunct to Juno invites us to adjust our partnership with whatever doesn’t serve our soul. Sun’s sesquiquadrate to Saturn inspires us to take a rather stressed action towards our dreams our future. Hang on because the ride can be a bit bumpy and wild but good. Health matters can flare suddenly ~ no fooling around here ~ go to the doctor’s IMMEDIATELY ~ especially if the head area is involved. Mercury faces off with Zeus ~ normally they are buddies but today the message is NOT what Zeus wants to hear. That said, he will go along with it because the consequences of NOT going along with it are much bigger. Moon’s trine to the Sun says it all works out the way it is supposed to. While the story might seem bigger than YOU right now, it serves a larger purpose which will be revealed to you down the road a bit (Sept 2015). Mercury’s semisextile to Chiron does encourage a bit of introspection about your own or the other guy’s blind spot. We all have blind spots in our 12th house ~ it is part of life. Right now, your blind spot can actually help you proceed and understand what went on. Venus sextiles Vulcanus so financial or love areas can feel like they are a volcano erupting. Mercury’s sesquiquadrate to Saturn says the papers are a bit stressful but a needed component of what you have to do next. Venus joins Admetos tonight marking the end of a story and freeing you to move forward to the next chapter. It is finished and done. You are free to go forward in your life. You may not know where you are going, but off you go. No looking back.
Friday Venus’s Day April 10, 2015 Moon is void in Sagittarius. Moon enters Capricorn at 08:47:50 am ET and goes void Square to Mercury so the work is finished except for dotting the “I” and crossing the “t”s. Sun’s union with Mercury makes everyone feel they are getting what they want and need. Combust Mercury is a good and bad thing ~ we sometime fail to double check or listen to the other. We fail to listen at our peril. So pay attention to what is being said and if it disagrees with what your understanding of the matter or deal is, stop and double check. Make no assumptions with combust Mercury’s. You THINK you are right and the hubris of overlooking the details is where the problem lurks. So listen and double check everything. Uranus opposes Zeus ~ time to rebel and break free from the last bits of subservience to the king ~ especially if it is a BAD king. No more silence in servitude. Mercury’s semi-square to Vesta invites us to move into a new position or role with our home. Mars sextile to Hygiea suggests you might have a stress related breakdown so no fooling around with health matters. Take a few days and go to bed, relax and enjoy your life. Your long Uranus/Pluto square is over! You are free! You’ve evolved!
Saturn’s Day Saturday April 11, 2015 Moon is in Capricorn and goes void Square to Mercury. Dreams are full of imagery and impressions so make sure to record them upon awakening. Mercury links up with Eris bright and early so there can be some discord or problems. They are both on the world axis so you don’t necessarily want this fight to go public. Sun’s union with Mercury by declination echoes yesterday’s combust Mercury so pay attention to what you hear and perhaps more importantly to what you are not interested in listening to. Venus enters Gemini until May 7, 2015 lightening everything up and creating a more flirtatious and laugh prone energy. Now that Venus is in Gemini, we’ll have more choices and options. Venus’ adjusting aspect to Pallas invites us to undertake a new health regime, work schedule or beauty program that sustains our energy in a supportive way. Moon in Capricorn joins with Pluto and squares Uranus today wrapping up the eclipse energy as well as the recent Uranus/Pluto square story. Next week Pluto stations to go retrograde and separate from a hard aspect with Uranus for the next 30 years. Wrap it up and learn the lessons of the heavens! The world is wild and crazy and you need to take care of your health to be able to function in it. No more burning the candle at both ends! You have to take care of the temple that houses your body! Mercury’s stressed out energy with Neptune suggest frayed nerves which need a rest from the recent craziness of the eclipses. The eclipses are leaving! The eclipses are leaving! Venus’ sesquiquadrate to Pluto reminds us that every choice we make has a price ~ intended or not ~ and a consequence. Choose wisely now. Venus’ aspect of brilliance to Jupiter now moving forward with a whoosh encourages you to take to the dance floor and dance like no one is watching! I hope you dance!

After another night of interesting dreams with messages for your soul, you wake with a sense of anticipation. Mercury contraparallel to Neptune want you to focus on the deeper message underlying the dreams. Mars’ working aspect with Neptune invites you to push off toward your dreams and start working on them actively. Time is passing by. Suddenly, you feel like you don’t have enough time to get things done. Moon’s aspects to Venus and Saturn encourage you to indulge in group activities and laugh as the earlier wounds of the eclipse ebb and flow a bit. Mercury’s trine to Cupido helps you find your new tribe. Sun’s union with Eris tonight helps you notice some jealousy or envy energy that you hadn’t seen before. Harness the envy and use it as a fuel to move yourself in a new direction if you are feeling it. If it is coming at you from someone else, notice that maybe you need to value yourself more in this area! Choose to partner, strategically, with what you love or where you want to enhance or grow your life.

There was a Lunar Full Moon eclipse on Saturday April 4, 2015 which stimulated the Uranus/Pluto square and culminated and wrapped up the story from October 2013. Need I say more? What a week we have ahead of us! Wowsa! Sun squares Pluto and joins with Uranus activating that Uranus/Pluto square summoning up your ego strength one more time! Mercury trines Jupiter, squares Pluto and joins Uranus telling a tale of passion that needs telling. Jupiter turns direct on Wednesday bringing justice to all deserving it. Mercury and Sun strike a deal on Friday. Venus enters Gemini on Saturday until May 7th making the liars run for cover and allowing deals to be struck. Mars sextiles Neptune on Sunday sending us toward our new dream!
