Radical Change: Saturn in Aries, Gemini New Moon

Hi everybody,

Can you feel it? Big change is afoot.

Saturn entered Aries on Saturday, May 24th, crossing this particular patch of sky for the first time since April 7, 1996. He’s not only dipping his toe into a new sign, but crossing the World Point of 0 Aries and beginning a whole new whirl around the Zodiac, which will take him about 29 years to complete.

The God of Karma will be dancing in Aries till the end of August, then he’ll retrograde back into Pisces for the fall and winter, reentering Aries for good and for true in February 2026. Expect structures to crumble (or burn!), re-form, and then crumble again between now and then. We’re in a moment of upheaval with regard to institutions and authorities. We’re struggling to prove that we have learned our lesson and are ready to build something permanent.

Saturn doesn’t really like being in Aries. It’s the sign of his fall, opposite the sign of his exaltation in Libra. In the lower form, Saturn in Aries says, “Might makes right.” In his higher form, he celebrates the power of the individual to govern their own fate, fighting bravely for truth, justice, and (if we’re lucky) maybe even “the American way.”

We’ll be working with Saturn in Aries for the next two-and-a-half years, and I am teaching a webinar this Thursday to help you navigate the changes. In the webinar, we’ll also be talking a bit about Neptune’s journey in Aries, which he entered on March 30th.

Neptune, too, has a retrograde dip back into Pisces coming up: but apart from that, he’s in Aries for the next 14 years. Like Saturn, Neptune is on the cusp not only of a new sign, but a whole new cycle. Saturn and Neptune will dance with one another till February 20th, 2025, when they’ll “get married” at the World Point of 0 Aries.

In addition to these sea-changes, there’s a bright and sparkly New Moon tonight, Monday, May 26, 2025 at 11:02 PM Eastern US time. The Sun and Moon will meet up at 6 degrees Gemini, approaching a conjunction to Jupiter at 26 Gemini. Plant LOTS of flowers under this energy. If you don’t like them later, you can always rip them out.

I’m flying back from NORWAC today, so our monthly New Moon Manifestation Circle webinar will be held tomorrow, Tuesday, May 27th. Join us to learn more about the energies of the month ahead, and how to make the most of them. Hope you can join us!

Big hugs,

Anne

P.S. If you’re in New York City on June 10th, please join me (and host Danny Larkin) for a special edition of the Big Apple Astrology Meetup Group! I’m teaching a mini class on the Minor Grand Trine (a.k.a. “talent trine”) of 2025. There is also an online attendance option! In-person admission is “pay what you can,” or donate a minimum of $5.65 to join the livestream.
