The Sun and Moon met at 8:24 AM this morning at 28 degrees, 21 minutes Libra, which falls in the Twelfth House of the chart cast for Washington, DC. Find the image below! This New Moon is bringing up our memories and dreams of the Saturn-Pluto conjunction at 28 Libra that occurred towards the end of 1982 and early ’83.
Both as individuals and collectively, we are reckoning with the past. The Mercury-Mars conjunction in Scorpio (which perfected early this morning) reminds us that, to grow in strength and wisdom, we have to put our money where our mouth is. Honor the commitments you have made to yourself and other people. These are times for being brave.
The chart also features a Finger of God with the Moon and Sun in Libra at the apex, aspecting both Uranus in Gemini, and Neptune in Aries plus Saturn in Pisces plus Ceres in Aries. That makes for a total of SIX planets in this Finger of God, well above the requisite three. There’s a big story being told, and a big mystery laid out for your unraveling. Why does this feel so familiar? We have been here before. But NOW we have the benefit of hindsight.
There is also a Grand Trine in the early degrees of the Air signs: formed by Pluto and Pallas Athena in Aquarius, Venus in Libra, and Uranus in Gemini. This aspect takes us back to the mid-1960s, when Pluto and Uranus met in Virgo. Protests occurred then that changed the world and we can do it again.
Altogether, this Libra New Moon marks out a highly potent time for self-reinvention, living one’s values, and getting things accomplished. Make some time to do your New Moon ritual!
