Full moon December 4 2006

12:43 Sagittarius Sun/ 12:43 Gemini Moon

It is a full moon of making choices. Time to make a choice between your various options. Time to make a choice so you can move forward. Time to choose what you value or love the most, put it in your pocket and ease on down the road to your future. Time to give yourself the possibility to believe you HAVE your very own unique future. Time to step briskly into the next phase of your life. It is time on our glorious full moon! Time for you to boldly go where your heart calls you to go.

Our full moon chart features a bucket configuration with the Moon in Gemini acting the handle. The handle is approaching the 90 degree mark, suggesting you are going to have to take the bucket, heart in your hands and move toward an UNCERTAIN future. Whatever guarantees you’ve sought or are seeking are NOT 100% clear or assured right now! Never mind. Don’t worry about it. Step out boldly. Move toward what your heart desires. The Universe is not in the mood to tell you how it is going to turn out (just yet). You have to believe in the possibilities. You have to take that leap of faith. You aren’t going to know how it turns out until next September any way! Life is not found in guarantees. Life is found in our choices. Choices we choose when feeling scared and brave and trembling, torn between fear and love. Choices we make with an open heart without knowing how the story is going to turn out.

If we head back in time, our current full moon’s cycle began at the new moon of June 6 2005. We were about to finish up a story around our family of origin as Saturn was in the last degrees of Cancer. We were able to see our family’s belief systems clearly. We understood how our family’s belief systems around security, caution, fear, anxiety, safety, love and nurturing helped to create us. We knew we faced choices about what WE wanted in our life versus what “they” (our family OR our friends OR our OWN expectations of what WE thought THEY thought was right) wanted for us. We were in the place of being actually ready to explore our choices, more often than not, out of a place of deep frustration with our current situation.

We moved forward into Saturn in Leo. For the past 18 months, we’ve been learning just what a big old scaredy cat we actually are! We may make Wildebeests run for their very lives but they are clueless critters! We aren’t brave. We aren’t scary. We aren’t even in the mood to eat a Wildebeest! Heck, on a very BAD day, we’ve made the Cowardly Lion in the Wizard of Oz look like the bravest, boldest and most ferocious lion there ever was! Now stop. Take a deep breath. Wash your paws and whiskers! Think about the GOOD days! On the GOOD days over the past 18 months, you’ve been finding your own unique brand of courage, your own bold and brave heart, your own inner depths, and your own profound soul, what exactly makes you roar in fierce anger or purr with delicious delight because you love it so much. It’s been 18 months of exploring the Leo part of what you love and are so darn afraid of at the same time!

If you’ve been digging around in your soul and exploring what YOU love (or merely observing the folks around you dig around in their souls), you’ve no doubt noticed how difficult it is for each of us to give ourselves permission to do or have what we love and desire. We deeply love our Saturn. We are scared out of our wits by our Saturn! We learned to be scared of our Saturn from our family or during our childhood! We were carefully taught to be afraid, be very afraid of our Saturn. Having learned our limits (to keep ourselves “safe” or whatever ~ it made our parents anxious when we did our Saturn), we now have to figure out how to break free of our limits. Our parents aren’t in charge any more. We are in charge of our lives. We have to give ourselves permission to love our limits. We have to recognize our limits and fears as a symbol. We have to recognize those limits and fears as our moment of truth.

Saturn is fear. When you feel the fear, recognize fear as Saturn asking you to take a chance, take a risk, and be brave. The EMOTION of FEAR comes right before the manifestation in form! Remember? Creation of anything is composed of the four elements: air, fire, water, and then earth or form? Air is the idea. Fire is the passion and inspiration. Water is the emotion. Fear is an emotion! Fear is WATER! Fear will dissolve and drain away right in front of your eyes if you give it enough time, or dump out the container holding it or pull the plug or open your fingers and let it drip away. Reframe your image of fear into what it actually is! Fear is what happens in the moment before you say YES to creation in your life! Fear, creation and Saturn are all inextricably linked in your heart and being.

In March of 2006, on the quarter moon in Gemini square to Pisces Sun, we faced a crisis of choice around our fear based, or Saturn choices. Now, 9 months later, we are at a clear and concise moment of truth, our full moon opposition between Gemini Moon and Sagittarius Sun. We get to pick now what we want now.

Right now, every planet in the heavens is moving forward. Right now, Jupiter has entered Sagittarius as a marker of new beginnings, new visions, and new fiery optimism. Right now, Saturn in Leo is trine to Pluto in Sagittarius saying the force and power of the heavens is with you if you push yourself towards what you want. Right now, Mercury in Scorpio is approaching his opening square to Saturn in Leo saying take action. Take calculated action. Take planned steps. Transform your fixed beliefs. Let go of the fear. Take a risk, even if you don‘t know quite how it is going to work out. Life has no guarantees. Mercury square Saturn says, “Nope, not going to give you a guarantee. You have to take a risk. Security, as you used to define it, no longer works for you. You have to believe in yourself. You have to believe in your dreams FIRST! You have to take a chance. Then, maybe, you can have what you want.” Please don’t be afraid of the MAYBE. That is Saturn being grudging. Do your Saturn and the maybe will turn into a YES.

Mercury in Scorpio rules that lovely Gemini Moon. Time to choose. Are you in? Or are you out? Gotta put your chips on the table as the hand is about to be dealt. I don’t care if you walk away or stay but, darn, with all this positive planetary energy, I would encourage you to stay a bit longer at the table. Now don’t bet you last dollar but DO make a teeny tiny investment in your future. Say “Yep, I am in.” Put a chip on the green felt table and take a sip of your drink. Watch the cards being dealt.

Venus is approaching her trine to Saturn and in a balsamic approach to Pluto in Sagittarius. Mars is approaching his conjunction to Jupiter. Now, the reason I suggested you not bet your LAST dollar happens in the immediate future! Pay attention to the card dealer! Saturn is the card dealer. You’ve been playing blackjack with Saturn for a while now, getting the hang of the game, tipping him a dollar or two when you win, playing conservatively, and just having “fun” doing your Saturn over the last few months. The dealer, old Mr. Saturn, has come to like you. And, all those dollar tips have helped! Plus, he’s noticed you’ve been doing your Saturn. You’ve been playing and trying to figure out his game!

Saturn, in the form of the card dealer, is about to give you a very wise tip or a bit of guidance. Saturn knows his shift is about to come to the end (he stations to go retrograde on December 6th and leaves Leo next September). Watch the dealer! Watch your Saturn! Saturn is going to imperceptibly pause before your cards or go flying right over your cards. That is Saturn’s signal. Bet the way Saturn tells you to bet! Saturn knows black jack
a hell of a lot better than
you do! Saturn stands in front of tables of gamblers every night, dealing cards and watching how folks win, lose, or draw. Saturn’s a fairly good assessor of a card player’s strengths and weaknesses. Saturn will give you guidance. Saturn will let you know whether to take a card or pass or double down or whatever you need to do. Don‘t LISTEN to the OTHER PLAYERS at the table! The other players are talking to you out of their beer, or their fear or their own understanding of THEIR GAME. Their game is not YOUR game. This game is between YOU and YOUR SATURN. Listen to and watch YOUR SATURN. Look your Saturn right in the eye. Do what Saturn tells you to do. Saturn’s going to give you a signal. He might wink. He might pause, telling you to take a hit. He might zip over your cards and come back suggesting you hold the cards you have and pass on taking another card. Once Saturn gives you his signal, once he does (and he will), play confidently! Do your Saturn. Watch your Saturn.

Pick in the direction of your dreams, place your bet, play your best game. Use Saturn’s guidance to help yourself decide how to play the hand in front of you. Saturn has your back. Besides, he knows he is going home with a big pot of tips! If he helps you win these next few hands, (as you’ve been doing your Saturn and giving him a tip of a dollar or two every time you win), he‘s going to get what he wants too! When you win, he wins. Saturn’s noticed you. Watch for Saturn’s signal. Make your choice. Get ready to pick and play. Use your Saturn for guidance. Saturn has your back.

Lynda Hill’s interpretations of the Sabian symbols are 13 Gemini Moon A WORLD FAMOUS PIANIST GIVING A CONCERT PERFORMANCE

Commentary: ‘A World Famous Pianist’ is someone who, through years of rigorous practice, has learnt their craft and knows how to show it so it can be shared, enjoyed and experienced by others. In this Symbol, the ‘Pianist’ is ‘World Famous’ and others come to watch the ‘Concert Performance’. Perhaps he or she is performing in some distant place or foreign land. The people in the audience have come to enjoy the melodies, emotions and dramas that are brought to their ears, minds and hearts. They also come to see the person who embodies this talent. The ‘Pianist’ has the ability to concentrate on the flow of the music and the actions of the body whilst being attentive to the audience. Rewards always come to those who are well rehearsed and prepared to share their talent.

Oracle: This Symbol shows the need to lay one’s talent on the line, often in front of others, without fear of ridicule or rejection. It is not enough for someone talented to know how wonderful they are, the proof is in the expression of their skills in the real world, creating something as a result. It is important to remember that this ‘Performance’ should spring from a love of what one is doing, whether it is music, performing or some other type of artistic or creative expression. However, it may be that the enjoyment and passion has become overshadowed by the responsibility and difficulty of having to maintain high standards. It can be difficult to persist in practicing a learned talent if it is not a keen interest or passion. In order to revive these feelings it may help to present your skills, expertise and talent to others, or to the public. Know your audience and communicate with them. Show that you are skilled and practiced and you will earn the praise, attention and respect of others.

Keywords: Talent. Validations of social standing. Working hard at being special (or noticed). Reverence, respect and patronage of the arts. Feeling attracted to those with creative ability. Music, whether inspiring or tiring. Hands-on creativity. Feeling empowered by ability. Success. Practice makes perfect. Singing. Playing out front or in the band.

The Caution: Relying on past success. Not putting in the day-to-day practice. The need for applause and acclaim to validate ones existence. Inflated egos demanding attention. Smugness about being talented, cultured, wealthy or privileged. Prima donnas. Cultural rewards for the privileged few. Conceit.

The Sabian symbol for Sagittarius 13 is A WIDOW’S PAST IS BROUGHT TO LIGHT

Commentary: A ‘Widow’s Past is Brought to Light’ speaks of things coming out of the ‘Past’ for people to see and learn about. There’s a story or a situation from the ‘Past’ that is finally being revealed. Something may have been known to exist but exactly what it was hasn’t been made clear. Now, there’s been an event, and something has been revealed; a story or situation from the ‘Past’.

Oracle: You may find that the ‘Past’ catches up with you, or someone you know, at this time. Although there may be sympathetic feelings in the hearts and minds of those around, somebody may not like what is being shown or revealed. This needs to be handled with care. Somebody’s issues, history, deeds or personality have now, or will soon, come ‘To Light’. This may be rather confronting or upsetting and it can take time to adjust to this new information. It often causes us to have to look at something, or someone, or a relationship in a new “Light”. As this Symbol pictures a ‘Widow’, often there’s a feeling that the situation is one with either a long history or is rather old, even possibly outworn, in some way. These issues were probably previously left in the dark or “in the closet”, suppressed by someone or at the very least forgotten about. Some may think that it may have been better if these issues had been left undisturbed and not ‘Brought to Light’. Dwelling on issues from the ‘Past’ can lead to the loss of joy in the present, so there needs to be careful thought about just where you direct your attention. However, a healing is made possible by things being revealed. Try lighting a candle, or a special ‘Light’, and allow illumination to pour over the situation. This can cast new ‘Light’ and understanding and allow you, and others, to banish the shadows of the ‘Past’. Further, often what was considered a “scandal” in former times, is now nothing much of consequence and can be washed away rather easily.

Keywords: Unveiling and exposing-or creating a new and vibrant beginning. Getting rid of yesterday’s darkness. Looking back to revision attitudes. Being freed for new opportunities. The “scales” falling from one’s eyes. Reasons as to why relationships have failed. Remembering. Past life memories. Things being found or discovered. Wills. Inheritances. Death certificates. Burying the past. Pensions. Insurance policies.

The Caution: Old stories that should be forgotten. Dead-end feelings hanging around. Gossip and family secrets that hurt and otherwise cause harm. Feelings that

are rehashed could be detrimental to stability. Someone being caught out.

I always think of Kenny Roger’s song, The Gambler at moments of choices like these.

On a warm summers evenin on a train bound for nowhere,
I met up with the gambler; we were both too tired to sleep.
So we took turns a starin out the window at the darkness
til boredom overtook us, and he began to speak.

He said, son, Ive made a life out of readin peoples faces,
And knowin what their cards were by the way they held their eyes.
So if you dont mind my sayin, I can see youre out of aces.
For a taste of your whiskey Ill give you some advice.

So I handed him my bottle and he drank down my last swallow.
Then he bummed a cigarette and asked me for a light.
And the night got deathly quiet, and his face lost all expression.
Said, if youre gonna play the game, boy, ya gotta learn to play it right.

You got to know when to hold em, know when to fold em,
Know when to walk away and know when to run.
You never count your money when youre sittin at the table.
Therell be time enough for countin when the dealins done.

Now evry gambler knows that the secret to survivin
Is knowin what to throw away and knowing what to keep.
cause evry hands a winner and evry hands a loser,
And the best that you can hope for is to die in your sleep.

So when hed finished speakin, he turned back towards the window,
Crushed out his cigarette and faded off to sleep.
And somewhere in the darkness the gambler, he broke even.
But in his final words I found an ace that I could keep.

You got to know when to hold em, know when to fold em,
Know when to walk away and know when to run.
You never count your money when youre sittin at the table.
Therell be time enough for countin when the dealins done.

You got to know when to hold em, know when to fold em,
Know when to walk away and know when to run.
You never count you r money when youre sittin at the table.
Therell be time enough for countin when the dealins done

Take a risk on this full moon. Bet for your heart’s desire. Watch for Saturn’s signal!
