Dear friends,

The Sun and Moon are scheduled to meet up in the wee hours of Saturday morning, August 23rd, almost immediately after the Sun transitions from fixed Leo into mutable Virgo. (Yes, we are still in Leo’s summer right now, but not for much longer!) The New Moon occurs at 0 degrees, 23 minutes Virgo, and it sets of off new month-long and 2.5-year cycles in early-Virgo area of your chart and life . . . as well as ushering in our autumn Eclipse season.
When the chart is cast for Washington, DC — and this chart rules the whole of the US, since our nation’s capital is there — we find Jupiter in the First House of beginnings, Venus and Mercury in the Second House of money, and the Sun and Moon in the Third House of Communications. It’s an excellent time for getting your next big project off the ground: set your intentions for the thing you want to make.
The Sun and Moon form the apex of a Finger of God with Neptune in Aries and Saturn and Pluto in Aquarius, driving us forward towards our life’s mission. We CAN make it happen through a synthesis of hard work, careful planning, hope, and strategy. Don’t be shy: call on your allies and help get THEM excited about the vision.
The Talent Trine planets — Saturn, Neptune, Uranus, and Pluto — are getting along extremely well with one another, and while they each have a DIFFERENT assignment for you to complete, the tasks imposed are actually complementary. Don’t buckle under the pressure: it will all make sense when you get through it. And you really can enlist allies for help (like Cinderella and the birds); you just need to be humble enough (a Virgo keyword!) to welcome in such a collaboration.
Uranus is opposite Hidalgo, asking us to stand up and right wrongs, even and ESPECIALLY when that means breaking from tradition. Mercury in Leo is moving towards the end of his retrograde shadow: he has learned and reflected a great deal these last few months, and now he is more clear than ever about what sees and what he values.
Saturn is on the World Point of 0 Aries, and the Nodes of Fate are at their degrees from 9/11 — so we can expect big world news, especially for those in the US. It’s helpful to remember that not everything that happens is your business. Dedicate yourself to the improvement of your own sphere of influence. That’s all any of us can do, and it’s enough.
